A few days later

Danzo's dead body had been found by the ANBU ninjas who were patrolling in the morning.

A little chaos was caused among the citizens but it all died down very soon.

During the investigation of his death, some files were found, 'accidentally' found. They were all the records of Danzo's experiments and 'noble' works.

After the discovery, Danzo was declared a traitor and his death investigation stopped.

By now, life went back to normal.

Yukan had been up for a long time already and was training outside the house.

When he looked at the sky and saw the sun rising, he started cooling down his body after work.

Today was 14th August, Yukan's birthday.

When he got back home, as usual, he went and changed his clothes after a bath.

Yukan could smell something good being cooked in the house so he rushed downstairs and saw Minato standing in an apron.

"A beauty!" Yukan exclaimed right at the moment he saw Minato.

Minato clenched his fists and held in his anger. He walked to Yukan and wished him.

"Happy birthday. Come on, I made some food, let's eat it." Minato said and walked into the kitchen.

"Thank you." Yukan walked and followed Minato.

They both ate breakfast and talked to each other.

"By the way, today is also mine and Kiyome's second relationship anniversary so, I have to leave soon." Minato removed his apron and said,

"You… You are going to leave your bro here?" Yukan said.

"Are you gonna kiss me?" Minato asked Yukan.

"Eww. You better leave right now or I'm going to courier you to her house." Yukan said with a disgusted expression.

"By the way, I only cooked the rice, the rest was made by Kushina before you came back home. She said that she'll meet you soon. Bye," Minato disappeared after he said.

Yukan laughed once and then finished the food that was left on his plate.

He left his home after eating and walked around.

He first went to Kushina's house to see if she was there but she was not.

Yukan then roamed around the streets hoping to find Kushina but he was not able to find her. Yukan somehow managed to pass the time until noon and then decided to go into the forest.

Unknowingly, Yukan himself walked to the place he promised to come with his mother on their birthdays.

He walked around the area, looking at the sparkling water in the lake, the green trees and the pure nature.

Yukan had an unconscious smile on his face all the time he was here. In the end, he stood right in front of the tree where he used to lay in the lap of his mother.

He sat down and slowly fell to his left, where his mother would sit.

Yukan lay there with a sad expression for a while and fell asleep.

When he woke up, it was already evening, so Yukan started walking back to his house.

On his way, he saw Minato and Kiyome standing in front of a food stall.

Kiyome saw him passing through and went up to him.

"Hey, happy birthday, Yukan." Kiyome wished Yukan.

"Thank you, Kiyome… By the way, do you know where Kushina is?" Yukan asked.

"Kushina? Hu-Hu, you should just go back home, I don't know." Kiyome said and walked back to Minato.

"...Weird," Yukan said lightly and then started going back again.

On his way home, he met more of his friends like the Ino-Shika-Cho trio who gifted him a quill, pillow and box of chocolates respectively, he also met Uchiha Ryu wandering around. {A/N: #ClassCanonFodder.}

When he opened his house's door, his hands were full of the gifts he received from people right now.

He placed them all right at the entrance and then was about to walk in when he saw Kushina coming out.

A smile appeared on his face again.

"You were here all this while? Yukan asked as he walked forward and kissed Kushina once.

"Hmm. Come on in, I have made food for you and then, we will watch some movie and then we're gonna sleep." Kushina said.

"Um, is it normal sleeping again?" Yukan asked to confirm if something like the last time was going to happen again.

"It may be anything. Depends." Kushina said and then pulled Yukan inside the house by his hand.

Kushina and Yukan then sat together and ate dinner.

During all this time, Kushina kept on talking about different things. Even when they had finished their food and Kushina was picking up the used cutlery, she was saying something.

Yukan had already gone into a daze thinking about how Kushina could speak so much.

"And so, after that, the woman told the- Wait a minute, are you even listening to me?" Kushina asked. She stood right beside where Yukan was sitting.

Yukan turned to look at Kushina and his face was directly in front of her chest.

Kushina waited for a moment but when Yukan still did not look at her face, she said," Hey, look at my face and talk to me."

"You know, with what I am seeing right now, I have no intention of looking in your eyes," Yukan said.

Kushina blushed. She hurriedly picked up the cutlery and ran back to the guest room.

"Um, did I do something wrong?" Yukan asked.

He then followed Kushina and stood in front of the guest room. It had been a few minutes since she had gone inside and now, Yukan opened the door without knocking.

Inside, Kushina was standing and changing her clothes when Yukan opened the door.

"Y-Yeah, I am sorry, I'll leave now," Yukan said and hurriedly closed the door. 'I have burned that image in my mind.' Yukan said in his mind.

Yukan then went and sat in his room.

He thought that he would now be sleeping alone but, soon there was a knock on the door.

When he opened the door, he saw Kushina in a nightgown.

She said nothing and just hugged Yukan. Yukan hugged her back.

They both looked at each other's eyes and then kissed once.

Yukan shut the door behind Kushina, picked her up and threw her on the bed and started kissing her again.

They both started removing clothes and…

The next morning.

Yukan was up and looking at Kushina's face.

He once looked under the thin blanket and saw a bloodstain.

"It happened," Yukan said. He then kissed Kushina's forehead and then left the bed.

He had just worn his lower and a vest when a knock at the house door sounded.

He was about to wear the upper of his tracksuit too, the knock came again. It was clear that the person knocking was in an emergency.

Yukan quickly went down in his vest and opened the door. Outside, he saw Minato along with Kakashi and Kozuki sweating like crazy.

"What is it? Why are you all sweating so much?" Yukan asked.

"It has started…" Minato said with a little terrified expression.

"Um, what?" Yukan asked once again.

"The Third Shinobi War. It has been declared to have started."
