12 Ch 12 : Sasori's early graduation

" Then, Third Kazekage-Sama, I'll go back first. Konan is waiting for me back at home."

"Good!" The Third Kazekage nodded his head. In the past two years, he watched him grow up, the kid back then had turned into a pretty mature one now, and the Third Kazekage couldn't help but feel a bit proud.

Suna's environment had become a lot better now, and it couldn't be separated from Chisaki's effort.

Nonetheless. as a veteran Kage, the Third Kazekage could feel that the smell of war was getting stronger, and soon, the land of the ninja world would be enveloped by the Second Great Ninja War.

" War.. huh? Well, the peaceful time was now over, and now we need to return to the harsh reality of the Ninja world."

The following day, Chisaki and Konan went to the ninja school just like usual.

Even though Chisaki could have already graduated a long time ago, he didn't rush to graduate. He knew that the safest environment to grow was under the ninja school, and Chisaki still wanted to enjoy this safe environment for a bit longer.

Chisaki and Konan had just entered the gate of the school when a voice came from the side.

" Chisaki! There you are! Do you know that Sasori will be going for early graduation?"

The two turned their head to the side as they saw it was none other than Shiro, the guy who was late on the first day of school.

Maybe because he found that Chisaki didn't laugh at him the first time, Shiro went to befriend Chisaki, and the two have become a pretty good friends since then.

It was true that Chisaki didn't intend to befriend anyone in his class, but Shiro was an exception. Chisaki could see that Shiro had a hidden potential behind him, and if he got the right guidance, then it was not impossible if he would soon become a powerhouse that could help Chisaki later.

Shiro began to explain about the early graduation while Konan and Chisaki stood next to him to listen attentively.

Ninja school students who want to graduate early must submit a graduation application through their teacher. If the Kazekage approves, they can take the exam. Succeeding allows them to become a ninja. The Kazekage does not generally refuse any application unless it is a particularly weak student. And as Sasori always had the top first or second, the 3rd Kazekage had no reason to refuse.

Even though this news had shocked the whole Ninja school, Chisaki was not that interested.

He knew that thing was bound to happen, and there's no way that Sasori would fail this test. The only thing that concerned him was Sasori graduating meant that the war was getting closer.

Sasori's parents were killed a year ago by Sakumo, and since then, Sasori began to alienate himself from Chisaki and the other. At first, the two were pretty close as they were top one and two in ninja school, but ever since Sasori lost his parents, he slowly succumbed into darkness, and the two began to walk a different path.

Yup, even if Chisaki was a transmigrator, he was not an omnipotent one who could prevent the death of Sasori's parents or change Sasori's mind with just a few words.

Things had become like this, and Chisaki as Sasori's former friend, could only hope for the best for Sasori.

Chisaki, Konan, and Shiro went to their own class.

Chisaki was now walking side by side with Konan.

These past two years, he had been training every day, and it seemed like he had been neglecting Konan a bit.

The two held hands with each other, and the vibes they gave really felt like a pair of brother and sister.

" Chisaki, don't you need to go to train?"

" Hmm.. Are you not happy that I'm here with you? If that's the case, then-

" No!!! Of course, I'm happy! I'm happy that you finally want to spend some time with me. It's just, I'm afraid it would hinder your training..."

" Silly girl, I train to be stronger so that I can protect you."

As Chisaki said those words, a blush crept through Konan's face.

She didn't know why, but she was really happy when she heard Chisaki say so.

The two was raised as brother and Sister by Chisaki's father, but without her knowing, her heart slowly wanted more than that sibling's relationship.

Well, what could she do? The girl in Naruto matured a lot earlier than the earth, and for a girl to spend every day with another boy and in intimate contact, there was obviously no way that she didn't feel anything toward Chisaki.

Unfortunately for Konan, this little date of them didn't last long.

A few minutes into the date. Chisaki suddenly fell into silence as he heard faint footsteps coming from one of the directions.
