14 Chapter thirteen

It was a solid two hours later after leaving the safety of their camp that the trio of Shinobi and one ninken finally got close to the location that had been detailed on the scroll that the other team had sent back to camp.

The squad settled into the tree line keeping to cover as they surveyed the second slaver camp that had been discovered. It didn't look to be as big as the last one, though it was hard to tell just how big it was as the camp was set up inside a large cave that was on a large rock face deep in the forest with a small clearing outside of it.

The entrance of the cave was fortified just like the last camp had been with log walls covering the cave entrance. Upon seeing the wall Kenta was already trying to calculate a plan of attack. There would be no way to sneak into this camp, there were no guards in sight, which he could see weren't really needed as anyone approaching would easily be seen by those inside through the slot in the entrance door. Though something was bothering Kenta as he continued to survey the scene.

"I don't like this," Anko whispered from her spot in between both Kenta and Sayaka as her brown pupil-less eyes narrowed and scanned the area for what must have been the fifth time, "It's too quiet."

Yeah, that's what was bothering Kenta as well, everything was silent, like eerily so. There wasn't even the sound of any wildlife nearby. No birds in the trees, no chirping of crickets, nothing at all. It set his nerves on edge with how quiet it was, he could hear his own heart beating like a drum in his chest, he didn't like this silence one bit.

'It shouldn't be this quiet, it's not natural' Kenta thought to himself before Anko put her hand on his shoulder to get his attention.

"Hey Kenta, reach out will you, try to see if you can sense C-six, they should have checked in already," Anko asked her eyes not leaving the clearing, clearly just on edge as he was.

Kenta nodded and closed his eyes to focus as he began to reach out with his senses and chakra, searching for any others in the surrounding area. Almost instantly he felt both the chakras of Anko and Sayaka to his right and Midnight hidden in the bushes below the tree they were on. Reaching out further he began to frown when he didn't immediately feel any others straight away. He continued until he reached his max range in the surrounding areas and let out an aggravated sigh when he got nothing back, there was no sign of the other squad anywhere. Had they already left, been captured maybe? No that didn't sound right.

In his curiosity, Kenta reached his senses towards the cave, when he didn't feel the other squad he wanted to know what numbers they were facing but was instantly confused when he didn't feel anything there either.

"That can't be right," Kenta said as he opened his eyes and looked confused, gaining the attention of both Sayaka and Anko.

"What's up?" Anko asked giving him a sideways look but not turning away from the clearing.

"I dont sense C-six anywhere around here, not even a trace of them. What's stranger is that I don't sense any chakra presence inside the cave." Kenta stated confusion in his tone, "No slavers, no captives, nothing."

"Shit." Anko breathed out a curse as she turns her full attention back to the cave glaring at it now, like it had just insulted Dango, "Split up, keep to cover and look for any signs of recent combat." she ordered in a whisper, not liking this at all.

Both Kenta and Sayaka nodded before they slipped from the branch and took off in opposite directions to begin their search, Midnight following Kenta from below as they moved from cover to cover.

As they moved Kenta began to channel his chakra into his nose and ears, one of the many tricks that he had picked up during his training with Hana when he was training to fight and track alongside Midnight. One thing that Hana had stressed to him was the importance of how crucial his senses were when they were out in the field and he knew from experience just what she meant.

To a normal person, hearing a noise would be the thing that would grab their attention the quickest, but he had learned that it was nothing compared to how fast a scent could do the same. Smell mattered because it helped build a complete picture of his surroundings and could tell him if something was wrong or if there was something that he ought to be looking for. Body odour of nearby enemies, the weapon oil they use, explosives that you have to watch out for, fresh air if you are trapped and looking for a way out, all of it mattered.

As Kenta moved through the trees his sense of smell was screaming at him as the smell of something burnt filled his nose, it was something recent. Moving closer following his nose he eventually came to a small clearing where the smell got even stronger but he couldn't instantly see what it was. The air felt hot but he couldn't see any flames or the source of where it was coming from.

Looking around he found himself pausing when a spot of black caught his eye and he moved to get a better look. It was a spot up an opposing tree where the branch had been charred black like it had been scorched, it was so small he would have missed it otherwise.

Inspecting it he noticed that indeed the wood was charred black, like a hole had been burned into the wood of the branch. Soot came off as he rubbed it with his fingers, it was still warm to the touch.

That was when he noticed more. From his perch on the branch, he could see all of the other trees and clearing and he could see many more similar marks on other trees, each having been scorched the same way. He didn't know what had caused it, because, on top of the smell of something burning there was another stronger scent now, one that burned the back of his throat, it reminded him of when Naruto had tried to cook their dinner one time and left meat on the grill for way too long.

He tried to place all the pieces of what he was seeing and smelling together, and he wasn't liking the picture that he was building in his mind about what had happened here. He knew he had to get back and report his findings to Anko and Sayaka and let them know what he suspected had happened, this mission had just gotten much more dangerous.

Time Skip

With no signs or indications of enemies nearby the three of them appeared in the training their scouting tasks completed as they moved to meet up in the centre of the clearing.

"Find anything?" Anko asked still tense, just because they couldn't see or sense any enemies doesn't mean they weren't being watched from outside of sensing range.

Sayaka shook her head, "Nothing Anko-sensei. I did a complete sweep of the western area, no signs of the other squad nor any signs of combat. It's like we were the only ones who have been here in weeks. I didn't see any signs of people having been passing through the area at all." she reported.

Anko nodded and looked to Kenta her eyes darkening as she saw the troubled look on his face, "Kenta whats wrong? What did you find?" she asked not liking the look he had.

Kenta frowned, "Recent signs of combat, multiple small scorch marks in various areas on trees and other plant life, still fresh. Along with the warm atmosphere, clear skies and the smell of burned meat, all indications point to the use of a Raiton Jutsu being the case. Though I was unable to find the jutsu user and I still cannot sense anyone else, bar us, in the area." he said having checked again on the way back,

Anko mentally cursed, they were supposed to only be going after slavers, regular people, for what little was regular and not sick about them. There shouldn't be anyone involved in this that had access to jutsu, this meant that their mission had just taken a turn and not for the better.

'Well, this at least explains how they knew how to make their operations difficult to track. They have at least one Shinobi in their ranks, one that apparently is skilled with Raiton Jutsu. Just bloody perfec.t' Anko internally raged now more alert than before, if that was even possible.

"I don't like this. C-six should have rendezvous with us already the minute we entered into the area and they wouldn't all have left the area if there was a need. They would have split up and left at least one of their numbers here." Anko started with a frown, "Something must have happened right after they sent us back the message about this location."

"Maybe we should inspect the cave and see if there are signs that the slavers have been gone long." Sayaka recommended as her eyes kept the cave just within her line of sight.

Anko nodded in agreement, "I was about to suggest that as our next move. It's the only place we haven't searched yet." she said doing the same as Sayaka, "But be on your guard, the last thing we need is to be attacked from behind in there. Tight quarters aren't my favourite for fighting in." she said as she turned and began to walk towards the cave entrance with both Sayaka, Kenta and Midnight following behind her.

As they approached the cave entrance, they could still see lanterns burning inside as they pushed the door open, it was clear that the place hadn't been abandoned long, maybe only a couple of hours before they had gotten there.

Kenta reached out with his senses to try to see if he could pick up anything that he could use to track the slavers, if they were on the run then they'd have to go after them and track them down. But it was less than a second later that he felt a chakra spike deeper in the cave and only thanks to his quick reaction time that he was able to move as he did to avoid being crushed when the ground beneath him rose up in a thick stone wall.

Anko and Sayaka must have felt it as well as they both leapt forward while Kenta had jumped back with Midnight following his master, at the same time as the log barrier exploded into a shower of splinters as it was crushed against the roof of the cave by the wall of stone that had risen up from beneath it.

Rolling to his feet Kenta bit back a curse as he saw that the entrance to the cave was completely blocked off by a thick layer of stone keeping him out, and more importantly separating him from Sayaka and Anko who were both still inside.

Inside the cave

"Damn it." Anko curses as she stands on the other side of the stone wall as Sayaka brushes herself off from landing on the ground after the rock wall had been raised, the cave only lit by the small flames of the lanterns that weren't destroyed.

"Where are Kenta-Kun and Midnight?" Sayaka asked as she walked over to beside her.

"Outside, I saw him jump clear just as the rock wall was raised" Anko replied and scowled as she smacked the rock wall with her fist, "damn it. It was a trap set up to divide us and pick us off or trap us in here." she said realizing what had happened.

Just then a chuckle echoed out from the darkness within the cave making both girls turn as a figure begins to emerge from the stone wall, "Good eye." the figure comments as he completely emerges from the wall, "A pity you didn't spot it a few minutes before."

Anko scowled at the backhanded compliment as she weighed their opponent up, he was tall at least six foot and a few inches, and built like a wall of muscle, wearing dark green camo pants and black boots, with a black skin tight shirt that had a tall neck that reached up the back of his head and covered the top and sides of his head, with a dark purple vest jacket with a high collar on it. He had a rather bland and emotionless face that looked almost wooden in the darkness of the cave that reminded Anko of the puppets that Sunagakure uses.

Almost simultaneously both Anko and Sayaka slipped into their Snake style taijutsu stance, feet apart arms loose ready to move and strike at a moments notice.

"So," Anko said as she watched the strangers closely, "I'm going to guess that you're one of the two leaders of the slave ring that we were told about. It makes sense now how you were smart enough to compartmentalize information among your men, you've clearly got a Shinobi background." she stated as she mentally tried to match his appearance to the pictures in the bingo book to try and recall who he was so she could assessed how much trouble he was going to be, as it was she was drawing a blank, so she went for broke, "So care to tell us who set this little trap for us, it would make it easier to know what name to put on your tombstone."

The man laughed a cold hollow laugh like his throat was dry as he shook his head, "There'll be no need for that. Considering that you'll both be dead soon enough." he said gesturing around them by raising his arms, "This sealed cave will be your tomb, a much kinder fate than what will befall your red-headed teammate and his mutt when my partner reduced them to scorch marks."

Hearing that both Kunoichi tensed and scowled as they remembered that Kenta and Midnight were outside and if what this bastard said was true then they would be facing their own battle. That settled it for Sayaka, they had to beat this guy and get out of here so that they could help Kenta, she knew that he could handle himself in a fight but that didn't mean she had to let him fight alone.

With that in mind, Sayaka channelled chakra into her eyes as her Sharingan appeared as her vision sharpened as she readied for combat.

The man's eyes flickered to her when she did so and he let out another gravelly chuckle, "Oh an Uchiha, a rare find to come by these days. Perhaps I spoke too soon about killing you. Kumo or Iwa would pay a good price to get you in their clutches, well worth the cost of the slaves that Konoha has cost us." he said darkly as both Kunoichi scowled at him, "Of course you don't necessarily need to be completely intact for what they will need of you." he said as he hunched his shoulders and balled his fists, "All the better for me."

Scene break- outside of the cave

Kenta was scowling up at the thick wall of stone that blocked the entrance of the cave that separated him and his teammates, unaware of what was going on inside at that moment.

"We've got to get them out," he said as he placed his hand on the stone as he tried to gauge just how thick the stone was as he reached out with his senses and felt both Sayaka's and Anko's chakra still present on the other side, along with a third chakra signature that he didn't recognize appear, they had company.

Midnight growled in agreement from beside his master, only for both their attention to be shifted when another voice spoke from the tree line behind them.

"I'd worry about yourself more than those two, brat. You have more pressing matters to worry about." the voice stated making both Kenta and Midnight turn to find the source.

A figure stepped out from the tree line and into their view. He had blue eyes with a darker ripple around the pupil, waist-length green hair with the top two bangs falling down on his cheeks on each side. He wore baggy grey pants down to his mid shins with white bandages going down to his flat soled shoes. His upper body was wrapped in similar bandages up his torso and halfway down his arms, over which he wore a black jacket that had no sleeves and a high collar rimmed with golden trim. And in his hands, he held a pair of swords, each with slim and straight double-edged blades. Both also had an upward-curved bladed prong near the tip of one side of the blade and another one near the base of the blade's other side. At their bases are smooth brown hilts with a round grey hilt, both blades sparking with electricity.

Kenta scowled as he mentally berated himself, 'Damn it. How did I miss this guy and the one inside the cave, I didn't sense their chakra at all? Either I'm getting really sloppy or these guys are skilled enough to completely suppress their chakra. That means they're at least Jonin level, this could be bad.'

The man laughed when he saw Kenta scowl at him, "That's better, brat. I'd hate to have killed you while your back was turned, no fun in that." he smirked.

Kenta's scowl darkened, "Who are you?" he snapped as he tried to gauge just how big a threat this guy would be as he took in every aspect of him, planning out his next move.

"Like I would really tell you that." the man smirked, "I only give my name out to those who actually put up a good fight. No point in giving my name out to weaklings who won't last long against me for it to really matter, like those Konoha nin's I fried a couple hours ago. They barely lasted two minutes against me." he laughed as his blades sparked once more.

Kenta clenched his fists as he put more pieces into the puzzle of the scene that he had come across on his search for C-six, 'The scorched spots, the smell of burnt meat, and the heat in the air. The other squad is dead then and this guy was responsible for it all', "Bastard." he growled matched by a similar growl from Midnight.

The man gave a chuckle, "Yeah, Sadia was pissed at me for that, killing them all myself and not leaving any for him. He has a real grudge against Konoha nins especially those stuck up Uchiha. So he made me promise not to kill the lot of you on sight this time until he could divide you all up to get his cut of the kills. So while he's getting those two girls in there, I get you and your mutt all to myself." he grinned as electricity began to pour out from the sword at his side arching through the air and striking the ground for several seconds, "I'm really looking forward to this."

Midnight growled deeply at the stranger as Kenta widened his stance, "I guess that means that we're just going to have to beat you and go and go and give them a hand then." he said as his hand began to lower to reach for his waist to grab his sword, nice and slowly so the other guy wouldn't notice, maybe he could get a lucky shot in and finish this clean and quick.

The stranger laughed as the sky above them crackled making Kenta look up, his eyes wide, seeing the sky overcast in dark grey thunder clouds, 'What the hell, when did the sky clouds over? It was clear and sunny not two minutes ago' he thought worried as his hand paused halfway to his waist.

"Oh, you make it sound like that's going to be easy." the man laughed as he raised his twin blades above his head, "But here, let me show you just how wrong you are," he said before striking the swords downwards in Kenta's direction.

Kenta felt his body scream at him as everything in his body told him at once to move, and he didn't argue as he leapt out of the way, Midnight following right after him, before the next second an explosion shook the spot he had been standing in as a lightning bolt fell from the clouds and crashed to the ground leaving it charged and scorched.

Kenta rolled to a stop and came to a knee his eyes wide after just barely surviving that attack as his mind raced at a mile a minute to try and comprehend what had just happened, 'He performed a high-level Raiton jutsu without hand signs, shit…. Wait, it wasn't him it was those swords' he realized before looking back to the man and the swords in his hands, the looker familiar.

Racking his brain for when he had seen them before he tried to think, a book, one that he had read back during his third year at the academy, the swords were mentioned in it, twin blades said to have been imbued with lightning, claimed as the sharpest swords in existence. Swords that allow the user can transform and manipulate lightning freely, even perform their Lightning Release techniques without hand seals. 'The thunder swords, Kiba' Kenta realized before narrowing his eyes at his dangerous opponent as he recalled what he had read about the blades. How the last owner had gone rogue during the blood war in Kiri and disappeared.

"Kirigakure no Raijin, Raiga Kurosuki, and the twin blades Kiba." Kenta stated as he stood up swallowing slightly, "There was a rumour that you had gone rouge a year ago after the blood war in Kiri got to bloody for you. Guess that isn't just a rumour anymore."

The now identified Raiga laughed, "Not bad brat, so you have heard of me, guess you're not as dumb as that mutt of yours after all." he grinned as he raised the Kiba blades once more, "You've got good speed and decent reflexes to be able to dodge my first strike. Not many have been able to boast as such, certainly none of those other Konoha nins were as skilled." he boasted.

Kenta scowled as once again Raiga boasted about how he killed Konoha nins, his mind flashing to the scorch marks on the trees and he clenched his fists, he would pay for what he did, "Don't think for a second you're going to get away with what you've done." Kenta snarled as he widened his stance to get ready to move again.

Raiga laughed, "Oh and just what are you going to do about it uh?" he jested as he brought his blades up into the air and Kenta watched as the lightning arched down from the clouds to the blades in a flash before Raiga thrust them towards him and Kenta had to leap out of the way as he dodged a vertical lightning blast that charred the rock behind where he had just been.

Coming to a stop again Kenta scowled as he realized just how much danger he was in. Raiga could use instantaneous jutsu without the need for hand signs, and his affinity was the fastest nature there was if he wasn't at his peak he wasn't going to last long.

His mind made up Kenta brought his right hand up into a half seal before muttering "Kai" as he released his gravity and weight seals on his body to allow himself unrestricted movement. He would need it, if he hoped to survive this he couldn't hold back.

Inside the cave

From inside the cave, the trio heard the explosion from outside, even through the thick wall of rock that was blocking the entrance to the cave.

Sadai let out a dry chuckle, "Sounds like Raiga has started his fun. Your little friend won't last long, that is if he survived the first strike, not many do." he stated in a monotone voice.

Sayaka scowled "If you think that Kenta would go down easily then you're in for a shock, you shouldn't underestimate Konoha Shinobi, and that goes double for us Kunoichi." she said as she moved with speed pulling two Senbon from her hip holster and launched them with deadly aim at Sadai, only for the sound of metal hitting something hard to sound as they bounced off his body and fell harmlessly to the cave floor.

"No, I think it's you who will be in for a shock." Sadai stated darkly as he ran through a series of fast hand signs before he slammed his hands to the ground, "Doton: Dosekiryū" (Earth Style: Mudslide Jutsu) as the next second they felt his chakra spread through the ground at their feet as it suddenly became soft and they began to sink at the same time as they were pushed backwards.

Anko mentally cursed before looking to Sayaka, "Get on the walls." she ordered before they both pushed out of the mud with a chakra enhanced leap and used their chakra again to stick to opposite sides of the cave wall as they began to run towards Sadai.

Anko flicked her wrist and a kunai shot into her hand as she neared Sadai as she leapt off the wall and slashed at his throat only for her eyes to widen when her Kunai broke against his neck.

"Nice try, but that won't work on me," Sadai said in a deep monotone as he threw a heavy punch at Anko who only just managed to duck and roll out of the way.

"If blades won't won't work then why don't we try this" Sayaka said as she finished running through a series of hand signs as she leapt from her side as her hands went blue.

Sadai's eyes narrowed and he went to move out of the way of her palm, but because of her Sharingan Sayaka was able to adjust herself to his movements and caught his shoulder as she threw herself over him, and landed on her feet just beside Anko, as Sadai turned them on his left hand on his right shoulder as he struggled to lift his right arm.

"Bitch," Sadai said with a grunt, "what the hell did you do to my arm?" he said sounding pissed off even in his monotone voice.

Sayaka smirked, "Nothing too severe," she said as she held up her still blue hands, "just severed a couple of muscle tendons with my Chakura no Mesu (Chakra scalpel) looks like I did some damage, even if I missed some tendons." she said while internally baffled, 'How is he still moving his arm? I got a clean hit he shouldn't even be able to move his arm at all'

Anko grinned, "Nice one. I see all that time at the Hospital has really paid off." she said eyeing Sadia and began to plan her next attack accordingly, now that he was partly crippled it would give them an opening and hopefully make things easier.

Saida clicked his tongue, "don't get cocky, Uchiha bitch. I'm going to make you pay for that." he said as he widened his stance and thrust his left arm at them as his arm began to bulge and turn to rock before a flurry of stone shrapnel shot at them.

Both Anko and Sayaka moved with speed to dodge the stone projectiles using the flexibility they had honed from their taijutsu practice to avoid getting shredded. While doing this his apparent invulnerability became clear to Anko.

"Fucker, I see what's happening now. The bastard is wearing a full coverage of rock armour over his body, no wonder all our attacks aren't getting through." Anko said as she dodged out of the way of the last sharp stone.

Sayaka's eyes widened when she heard that, 'That would also explain why he can still move his arm. My Chakura no Mesu wouldn't have reached all the way through if he's wearing armour like that' she thought before looking to Anko, "So what do we do?"

Anko smirked, "We peel it off him, piece by piece nice and painful like." she said as she pulled another kunai out.

"Not likely," Sadai said having overheard them before he ran through a series of one-handed hand signs and slammed his hand on the ground, "Doton: Tobi Tsubute" (Earth Style: Flying Stones) as the ground at his feet shook and this time stones began to break off the walls in larger chunks and began to fly at the two Konoha Kunoichi.

Once more the two Kunoichi are on the defensive dodging the multiple stone projectiles, Sayaka having an easier time of it as her Sharingan span allowing her to keep ahead of the stones coming at her as she began to run through a series of hand signs before she called out "Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu" (Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu) before taking in a breath and began to spit out multiple small fireballs that impacted the rocks causing many of them to explode and rain back, now on fire, at Sadai giving Anko covering fire for her own jutsu.

"Nice, my turn." Anko said as she moved with speed gained from years of experience as she ran at Saida running through hand signs of her own, kunai still in hand.

Sadai batted the last of the flaming rocks away with his enlarged stone hand and went to swing at Anko as she got close, only for her to dodge it once more with her higher speed and come up from below the kunai in her hand now sparking with electricity as she thirst it forward into Sadai's chest as she called out, "Raiton: Sandāboruto" (Lightning Style: Thunderbolt)

The lightning enhanced kunai pierced Sadia stone armour making the larger man cry out in pain before the jutsu blasted him backwards and crashing into the stone wall that he had erected at the entrance of the cave with a crash and a cloud of dust on impact.

Sayaka smirked, "A Raiton Jutsu, nice," she said as she came up behind Anko, "Didn't know you knew that one." she commented as they watched the dust, the cave now a bit brighter from the flames scattered around from her Katon jutsu.

Anko grinned " Yeah, I have Kenta to thank for that little number, he gave me some advice when we were training a couple years back." she explained, "Said that I should expand my jutsu arsenal for every situation, and helped me learn that one, the kunai was my own personal touch." she grinned, "Bet that hurt him even though that armor of his, if that yell of his was anything to go by."

"It did," a new voice sounded as Sadai began to pull himself free of the wall as his rock armour began to fall away from him revealing a different person entirely on the inside.

He was an older teen with long messy black hair and a lean body, he wore a tight black tank top, with a hole in it that he was bleeding lightly from, and green pants with bandages around his wrists and ankles, he was rather handsome but his eyes were cold and ruthless.

"And now you've pissed me off," the new Sadai said before he disappeared in a blur of speed.

Outside with Kenta and Midnight

Kenta was mentally cursing himself as he shot through the treetops, jumping from branch to branch at his top speed without lightning chakra aiding him as he avoided yet another bolt of lightning, they seemed to be endless. Midnight had broken away from him when they had split up back up at the cave. Kenta knew he would track him down in the forest once he got stopped, it was what they had planned for when he had to go at his top speed when Midnight couldn't keep up with him.

With another leap Kenta tried to get through a smallish clearing in one bound only to be blown back by the impact of yet another lightning bolt, this one hitting the branch before he could reach it.

'Damn it.' Kenta cursed mentally as he rolled into his fall and came up on his feet pulling his sword free from his waist as he turned to face Raiga as he landed in the clearing as well.

"Running away?" Raiga asked with a grin, "And here I thought you might actually have some bite to back up that bark of yours." he jested as lightning crackled off the tips of his blades and in the sky above them.

Kenta scowled but didn't say anything as he held his sword out at his side ready to move, he had taken off running for a reason after all and that was to buy himself some time so that he could analyze Raiga's attack style and to come up with a plan of attack. From what he'd seen, the Kiba swords were his main weapon and he preferred them for his Raiton jutsu. If he could somehow get them away from him, he'd severely diminish the threat Raiga posed, though that would obviously easier said than done.

Skill wise Raiga was at least a Jonin or higher in strength and skill, and with those swords he could perform a wide assortment of Raiton jutsu, all without a single hand sign, those swords were definitely a priority target, but not only were the swords electrified but with all that lightning it would be extremely difficult to get close to him without getting hit. He clearly had his work cut out for him with this opponent.

Kenta, however, was broken from his thoughts as he heard a loud crackling above his head, and on instinct he jumped clear just as another bold came down, directed by Raiga's swords. Instantly Kenta was grateful for his forethought on releasing his weight and gravity seals before he started this fight. If he hadn't he'd have been a scorch mark several times over by now.

Throwing himself into a roll from his jump Kenta came up just as he finished running through the hand signs for his jutsu as he took in a breath and released it as he mentally called out 'Fūton: Renkūdan' (Wind Style: Drilling Air Bullet) as the air he spat out began spinning fast and shot at Raiga with all the force of a solid mass object.

Raiga acting fast jumped out of the way of the projectile and retaliated by slashing another bolt of lightning back at Kenta who only just got out of the way. Raiga instantly moved for another attack but had to jump out of the way as Midnight came in spinning in from the far left of the clearing and crashing into the ground that he was standing on. Just barely missing him as he leapt out of the way and scowled. "Damn Mutt" he snapped and went to launch another bolt, this time at Midnight, only for his aim to be pulled off as Kenta's whip swords wrapped around his two blades and pulled them to the side launching his attack wide.

"Hands off!" Kenta growled at the other end of the sword, pissed that Raiga tried to attack Midnight like that.

Raiga scowled, "You wanna taste so badly fine by me, try this on for size." he said grinning cruelly as he sent a charge of electricity down the whip sword aiming to electrocute Kenta through his own weapon.

Kenta saw the blades spark and realized what was about to happen but he wasn't about to give up his sword, and in a last ditch effort not to do so, he gripped the handle of his sword tightly as he channelled his own Raiton chakra down the blade.

The results were not that he was expecting, as arcs of electricity shot up into the air from his sword as the two forces met for several seconds before they stopped, and the next second the whip sword broke apart with a small forced explosion, the small blades of the sword scattered all around, falling like flies.

"Damn it," Kenta muttered as he tossed the handle of his bladeless sword way, this wasn't what he had in mind with that, but at least he hadn't been electrocuted.

"Ha, what are going to do without your blade now brat?" Raiga jeered with a sadistic grin on his face.

Kenta gave a half smirk as he held out his hands from his sides, "who said I don't have my blade?" he asked confusing Raiga, before lifting his hands up and as all of the small blades that had been part of his sword lifted up from the ground.

Raiga looked shocked and Kenta just smirked, "My sword was designed to break apart." he stated as if it was common knowledge, "It's just a bitch to put back together again." he added before moving his arms as the blades followed his command and began shooting at Raiga.

Seeing the way the small blades were flying Raiga began moving and doing his best to dodge all of them, he could easily see what was happening and moved to stop the blades as he slashed at the air behind the blades, and for a moment they began falling, like a puppet whose strings had been cut, before they suddenly picked back up again, and Raiga was back on the move to dodge them again.

Kenta smirked, "I see you've worked out how I'm controlling my blades, chakra strings are a wonderful thing aren't they." he said as he moved to control a series of his small blades in an aerial maneuver to try to catch Raiga from behind only for him to move out of the way at the last second, "as you've no doubt guessed, you can't cut my chakra strings, well you can, but you see my blades are all soaked in my chakra, it's what happens when you spend hours pouring chakra into the metal, and it makes it simple to reconnect the strings within a second after they are cut."

Raiga gave a half laugh as he worked out Kenta's plan, "so this is your plan, keep me at a distance, and keep me from using my blades at the same time, clever plan, though I have a question," he said as he jumped back outside of the circle of spinning blades, "Can you hit what you can't see?" he said as he brought his hands together in a single hand sign and Kenta instantly realized what was coming second before Raiga announced, "Suiton: Kirigakure no Jutsu" (Water Release: Hiding in Mist Technique) as a thick mist began to blanket the entire area.

Moving fast Kenta moved to attack Raiga while he could still see him in the mist, only when his blades moved in on his command, they hit nothing but air as Raiga appeared to dissipate into the mist, biting back a curse, he hated this jutsu ever since Sarutobi-sensei had demonstrated it to him and how troublesome it could be, and now it was even more so.

Releasing his chakra strings as they would do him no good now, Kenta quickly jumped out of the way as a bolt of lightning fell from the clouds, though Kenta knew it wasn't by accident, Raiga was able to target him within the mist, but he couldn't find him, yes this would be really troublesome.

Raiga's laugh echoed around the thick mist, "You can't see me, but I don't have to see you. Now it's time to die kid." he announced as once more Kenta jumped to avoid another bolt from the heavens.

Kenta scowled as he kept low trying to keep out of sight, he hated this Jutsu, it cloaked the area in a thin layer of the users chakra, making it next to impossible for sensors to detect the caster inside it, and that was before he was suppressing his chakra, he had to figure out a way to beat this jutsu and now.

Suddenly Kenta was pulled from his thoughts when he heard Raiga call out another jutsu and it was one he didn't like the sound of.

"Kaminari maisō: Kaminari no utage" (Lightning Burial: Banquet of Lightning)

The next second, Kenta eyes widened as he saw the flashes of electricity and he had only a split second to react. He channelled lightning chakra into his body to move fast to avoid them.

Ducking under the first, he leaped to dodge the second, just narrowly sidestepping the third, throwing himself into a roll to avoid the fourth and fifth, only to be caught right in the middle of the chest by the sixth bolt, but a second before it hit, it suddenly shoot off in a different direction.

Kenta stood on the sport, completely shocked, not understanding what had just happened.

Then it hit him as he remembered what had happened with his sword, how his lightning had reacted when they met along the line, how when the two surges met they were both positively charged and they couldn't pass through one another and had to go around. 'Could it be that simple, if I charge myself with lightning chakra it will negate his attacks' he thought with amazement

"You still alive out there brat?" Raiga's voice sounded out through the mist, sounding rather perplexed by that fact, "I don't know how you managed to dodge that last attack, but don't think you're luck is going to keep up."

Kenta scowled as he looked around the mist trying to find him before finally giving up, it was impossible to find him while the mist was still around, there was only one thing for it, he'd have to clear it out.

"I wouldn't be too sure about that." he replied back in challenge as he ran through a series of hand signs before he called out "Fūton: Kamikaze" (Wind Style: Divine Wind) before thrusting his hands forward.

At his command the winds in the surrounding forest began to rush by him with speed and gather in strength as they gathered and began swirling as three, ten foot tall, tornadoes began to form and pull in the mist as they swept through the clearing, funnelling the mist in to them and up into the sky, clearing the mist in a matter of moments before the tornadoes faded away. It was then that Kenta realized he had another problem. He couldn't see Raiga anywhere.

Not seeing his enemy immediately as soon as the mist was gone, instantly put Kenta on guard as Midnight growled from his side. Acting on instinct he heightened his senses with chakra to try to locate the nuke-nin, and moments after he leapt forward just as Raiga appeared behind him in a burst of speed, one of his swords already in motion to try and part Kenta's head from his shoulders.

Though as soon as he dodged the blade Kenta had to dodge yet again as a bolt of lightning shot from the sword as Raiga pressed his attack.

"Smart move, clearing away my mist like that. But don't think that I need my mist to beat a brat like you." Raiga smirked as he sent another two blasts of lightning at the pair from his blades as the first was dodged.

Kenta scowled as once more he and Midnight were put on the defensive dodging the Raiton attacks, 'This is getting me nowhere, I need to press the attack, get in close and get those swords away from him' he thought to himself as he tried to look for an opening to move in.

Just then Raiga put both his blades together in an X shape in front of him as the electrical charge of the blades began to gather at a single point and gathered into a ball. Kenta saw his opportunity and ran forward pumping lightning chakra into his arms as he did so just as Raiga attacked.

"Raiton: Raikyū" (lightning release: Lightning ball) Raiga called as he thrust his bladed out launching the electric sphere at Kenta as he ran at him.

Kenta didn't dodge this time much to Raiga's shock, instead, he raised his electrified arms and batted the sphere out of his path as he charged, the current running through his own arms negating the spheres on current and forcing it away.

Raiga was so shocked by the action that he didn't react in time as Kenta quickly closed the distance and attacked with a single hard punch, backed with lightning chakra. The result of which was an airborne Raiga as he flew halfway across the clearing from the impact before righting himself and turning to land on his feet and skid back a meter or so before finally stopping.

He winced as he brought his hand to his jaw and eyed Kenta with recognition and realization of what had happened before he smirked as the pieces clicked together. "I see now, so that's how you survived my lightning earlier. You channelled lightning chakra through your body to negate any outside sources from entering. That's pretty advanced, for a brat like you, channelling lightning chakra into your body at your age, impressive stuff. But it isn't going to be enough to save you." he said as he reversed the grip of his right sword before raising them above his head.

Kenta seeing this action knew something was going to happen and began to brace himself for whatever it was, just as lightning poured down from the heavens and struck Raiga.

The lightning coated his whole body, as Kenta watched on before Raiga began to spin. The winds seemed to whip into a frenzy around him and swirl in unison with lightning as they began to gather into a singular form that made Kenta's blood run cold, but even more so when Raiga called out the name of the technique over the howling winds and crackles of lightning, "Raiton: Rairyu no Tatsumaki" (Lightning release: Lightning tornado dragon) as the large shape finally the form of a huge dragon.

Kenta swallowed hard as he braced himself and began to channel even more lightning chakra into his body to try to ready himself for the attack, he knew he wouldn't be able to dodge it. And he was right. The large form moved with speed and came down on him hard before lifting him up and into the air. There was nothing he could do except to focus on maintaining the flow of lightning chakra to keep himself from being killed instantly.

Midnight howls were drowned out by the howling winds as they were lifted up. There was nothing Kenta could do to help his partner and the next thing he knew was that they were being thrown, and thrown hard, carried by the large form as it began barreling through the trees and smacking him against branches and trunks as they went deeper into the forest.

Back with Anko and Sayaka vs Sadia

Anko and Sayaka were really being pressed, as soon as Sadia had dropped his rock armour his speed had increased tenfold and both were having a hard time keeping up with him. Sayaka had to push her Sharingan to the max just to keep up with his speed.

"Shit!" Anko cursed as she was caught by a fast kick and launched back into the side of the cave and only just brought up her Kunai in time to block a strike from Sadai with his own, only for him to vanish when Sayaka came at him slashing with her Chakura no Mesu again.

"What's the matter, can't keep up?" Sadai goaded them as he appeared across the cave again, "don't worry," he said as he placed his left hand on the wall as the stone began to move as he pulled it away revealing a stone blade, "this won't last much longer." he said and disappeared again.

Sayaka was able to track his trajectory with her Sharingan and moved to dodge as the sword of stone was thrust at where her chest had been. Before thrusting her still green hand out to try and grab his wrist, aiming to sever some of his tendons, but he blurred out of the way again.

"I'm not going to fall for that a second-time bitch." Sadai snapped and thrust his hand at her as the stone sword broke off from his hand and launched at her with higher speed than before.

It was in that moment that it was about to hit her that everything seemed to slow down even further for Sayaka as she saw the sword coming at her and she moved just enough to dodge it. She realized what had happened, her Sharingan had reached its second stage.

Sadia clicked his tongue again in annoyance, "Damn eyes, I should gouge them out and sell them off separately from the rest of you." he snarled

"Not going to happen," Sayaka said as she blurred through a series of hand signs before ending on a Tiger seal and took in a deep breath, "Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu" (Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu) she shot out a large fireball at him.

Saida clicked his tongue again as he brought up his left hand in a half snake seal as his skin turned dark, "Doton: Domu" (Earth Release: Earth Spear) he said before he struck at the large fireball and shattered it with a smirk, only for that smirk to fade when a second one came at him this time from Anko, "Don't you have any other tricks?" he snarled as he broke the second one just as easy.

"Try this on for size then," Sayaka responded as she took out two handfuls of shuriken from her pouch and threw them at him.

Sadia laughed thinking it was a joke, "Playing games now are we?" he said as he got ready to deflect them only for his eyes to widen when he saw her run through a series of hand signs before she called out.

"Shuriken Kage Bunshin no Jutsu" (Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique) as the ten shuriken became a hundred and suddenly began spinning around Saida as he could just make out the thin strands of ninja wire leading back to Sayaka's hands as she commanded them, "and now, Sōshuriken no Jutsu" (Manipulated Shuriken Technique) she said as the shurikens spun around him binding him tightly with the hardened wire.

Sadai grunted in pain as he was bound tightly in the wire before he tried to break free of the wire, his jutsu still active hardening his skin, it should have been easy. Only to find that he couldn't as his eyes widened, "This is chakra metal." he said realizing why he couldn't break free.

Sayaka smirked, "That's right, now I've got you." she said as Anko walked up beside her and ran through a series of hand signs again as her hand sparked, Saida's eyes widened as she grabbed the wires from Sayaka as they surged with lightning right down the line to him as he cried out with pain and dropped to his knees, his earth defences useless against the penetrating lightning.

"And to finish," Sayaka said as she took the wires back as she ran through a number of half hand signs before she took in a deep breath, "Katon: Gōryūka no Jutsu" (Fire Style: Dragon Fire Jutsu) as she spat out the flames. They ran down the chakra metal lines directly at the trapped Sadai who only looked up in time to see the flames before letting out a cry that was drowned out in the fiery explosion that blew out the front of the cave.

Out in the forest- Kenta and midnight vs Raiga

Kenta fell down from the trees with Midnight in a loud crash and thug, grunting in pain from being thrown and then tearing through well over two dozen branches, his armour had softened some of the blows but he could feel bruises on his arms and legs were already starting to form under his clothes.

Midnight landed beside him, the only signs that he was still alive was his soft whines and whimpers of pain. Kenta groaned as he rolled to his side and started to get up, only to wince when he tried to put weight on his right leg, it was definitely sprained and would take time to heal, time that he didn't have.

That was when he heard Raiga's voice, "Didn't I tell you it wouldn't help you." he said as he appeared in a flash of lightning, "Nice try brat, you sure surprised me a few times. But in this world its experience that matters, to bad you have to die now." he said as he began to approach Kenta his swords sparking, but paused as Midnight slowly rose to its feet, each step looking painful as it twitched from the lightning attack, as he slowly positioned himself between Kenta and Raiga, letting out a deep growl that sounded painful.

Raiga just smirked, "I see, protecting your master till the end. I'll put you down first then," he said and with a slash of his right blade send a sphere of lighting at Midnight, who was too injured to dodge the attack, as a result it caught the ninken and tossed Midnight over Kenta, only to land in a heap off to Kenta's left, whimpering in pain.

"Midnight!" Kenta groaned as he tried again to get to his feet, "Bastard!" he snarled at Raiga making him laugh as he walked by him.

"Oh don't threat," Raiga said as he passed by him with a sadistic grin on his face, "I'll make sure you join your precious mutt right after I'm done." he added as his blades sparked.

Kenta gritted his teeth and tried once more to pull himself to his feet as he watched as Raiga approached his downed partner. His body and legs wracked with pain and groaned in protest as he tried to get up, only for his legs to crumple from the pain, 'Damn it!' he mentally raged as he looked up again to see Raiga beginning to lift his blades up as he prepared to strike.

Once more Kenta tried desperately to get to his feet, cursing himself for letting his sword get broken up, he could have used the extra reach right now, once more his legs crumpled beneath him from the pain. His eyes widened as he looked back up when he heard Raiga speak.

"Time to put this mutt out of my misery", the Nuke-nin said as he took aim for the ninken's throat as Midnight lay unable to move aside from the twitches he gave unwillingly due to muscle spasms from the lightning attack he had taken before.

Kenta looked up as his eyes widened in horror as he saw Raiga's blades begin to fall as the moments pass by like hours for him, 'gotta move, gotta save him, come on, move, move, move!!!' Kenta internally raged as he began to channel lightning chakra into his legs.

The pain was intense as his already bruised and torn muscles screamed in protest from the action but he fought through the pain as he pushed himself off the ground in a painful leap and lunged between Raiga and Midnight.

Moving on instinct Kenta pulled a kunai from his pouch using his right hand, to deflect one of the swords as he brought up his left forearm with his chakra metal bracer to deflect the other as he reached between them just in time, as he brought his bracer and kunai up above his head to intercept the weapons.

However, that had been his mistake. It was only the refined material of the chakra metal that allowed the bracer to deflect the blade it was brought up to block. The kunai in Kenta's right hand, however, was forged from standard iron, and when the legendary blade, enhanced with lightning, met the regular Iron kunai. Its path was only altered slightly before it cut clean through and continued on.

"GAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

Kenta let out a pain filled cry as he fell to the side, his hands gripping the right side of his face as blood poured from his right eye, where the legendary blade's altered path had cut a clean path down the middle of his eye.

Raiga, momentarily shocked from the cry of pain, took a step back for a moment to process what had happened before scoffing, "Fucking idiot, it's only a damn dog," he said as he stepped forward again.

"Fine then, you want to go first, fine by me," he said as he raised his blades again ready to cut Kenta down. Only for Midnight to rear up and jump at him spinning, catching the Nuke-nin in the chest with a weak Gatsūga, the impact of the attack was enough to send him flying several feet before he fell to the ground with a groan as he looked up dazed from the sudden attack.

Limping slightly, Midnight moved back to Kenta whimpering, worried for his master seeing him in pain and bleeding.

Kenta's body was shaking, going into shock from the pain and blood loss from losing his right eye. He knew what had happened, even through his pain and shock. Cursing himself for being so stupid, but then again he knew he hadn't exactly been thinking clearly at the time to do much else. All that he's cared about was saving his Ninken partner, and he had. Now he had a fight to finish.

Gathering what control he could, he began to make the necessary hand signs. He knew he wasn't the best at Iryō Ninjutsu. His chakra reserves had always been too large to perform them even with his level of control, without leaving a scar, but right now he just needed to stop the bleeding and ease the pain so that he could think to fight.

After a moment the chakra gathered in his right hand and he placed it over his slashed eye. Almost instantly he felt the pain begins to fade away to a dull throb, it still hurt but at least it wasn't bleeding any more. He felt light headed and he knew he had likely lost too much blood, he wouldn't be able to stay conscious for much longer, but he had to try. It was that or die.

With the jutsu still active, he moved his hand down to his legs and feet and began to heal his muscles and ankles so that he would be able to stand. He could hear Raiga groaning as his enemy got to his feet, he needed to get up now.

Pulling himself to his feet shakily Kenta managed to keep his balance, despite his throbbing head and the pain he still felt, just as Raiga did the same with a grunt of annoyance.

"Bloody mutt, I'm going to skin you alive for that" Raiga growled as he gripped his twin blades tightly in his hands as electricity began to pour out of them once more.

Kenta panted for breath as he fought desperately not to pass out, he could tell he was running out of energy, the blood loss was taking its toll. Thinking as best he could, he began to run through his options, he could release his seals on his collarbone to give him more chakra, but that wouldn't help him with his blood loss, he had at most enough chakra for one final jutsu and then he was going to be spent, he had to make this count.

"This ends here Raiga," Kenta said as he glared at him, his face half caked in his own blood as he stood on shaky legs, using what little chakra he could spare to keep himself standing.

"Ha, big talk from a little Cyclops. We both know you're on your last leg, and you can't do your lightning trick with your body in that condition. Might as well give up now, you're outmatched, brat." Raiga said as the lightning pouring from his blades increased and the sky above got even darker.

Kenta scowled, he knew that Raiga was right. If he channelled lightning chakra into his body to try and deflect his next attack with himself in this condition he could risk damaging his body irreparable and that wasn't something he wanted to risk.

'Come on think, there has to be something you can do, a Jutsu that will counteract his' Kenta thought to himself as he tried to come up with a plan, but everyone he thought up he realized wouldn't work.

The distance between them was too far for him to run with his legs barely supporting him now. And even if he did, Raiga would just strike him down with a lightning bolt from above and that would be that, so that meant taijutsu was also out.

Kunai and shuriken would be pointless, and besides his aim would be well off now with only one eye to rely on, his depth perception would be shot and even if he threw multiple it wasn't a guaranteed kill and then Raiga would only finish him off afterwards, because he doubted that he would be able to dodge the next attack.

That only left genjutsu and ninjutsu, and he was sure that a genjutsu no matter how horrible wouldn't kill Raiga. Not to mention he needed stealth for that, in order for it to be successful and for Raiga not to immediately break out of it, which he didn't have at the moment. So that left only one option, ninjutsu.

Never before had Kenta thought he'd have been in a predicament that he cursed himself for not learning more jutsu. He prided himself on having a reasonably sized arsenal for someone his age, but right now he realized that he was in trouble and swore to himself if he got out of this he was going to work his ass off even harder to learn more jutsu so that he would never be in a situation like this again.

Raiga smirked when he saw Kenta struggling internally about what to do as he raised his blades as lightning began to channel down from the sky and into the swords, "Don't worry, I'll out of your misery with my next attack!"

Kenta began to panic when he saw Raiga getting ready to attack. He knew there was no way he was going to be able to dodge this, he had to act. He had to take Raiga out and defend against this next attack otherwise he was done for, he knew a futon jutsu would be his only option to do either, but neither of his two wind jutsu would be strong enough to do so on their own, and he would only have the time and energy for one of them, he tried to think, which was hard with his head pounding and the feeling of drifting off from his blood loss as he fought to keep conscious, then it clicked…. He had a plan it was stupid, reckless, dangerous and would defiantly get himself killed if he messed it up, but he didn't have any other choice.

Closing his eyes he focused on the far right-hand side of his collar bone, on the yin seal there, the newest of his five seals that had the least amount of chakra in it. He knew that he would need all the chakra he could get for this, but too much and he would risk tearing himself apart. He could only pray this would work. With another thought, he mentally released the seal without the use of hand signs and instantly felt the chakra flood out and into his body as he began to run through the hand signs to mould the chakra.

Raiga's eyes widened a fraction when he felt the sudden chakra spike from the kid in front of him, it was massive, well larger than his own reserve, 'just what the hell did this brat do now' he thought to himself as he poured more lightning into his blades, "I don't know what you just did brat, but it's not going to help, this will finish it" he said as he finished his preparations and thrust both his blades towards Kenta, "Raiton: Raitoningu no handan" (Lightning release: Lightning's Judgement) as all the lightning stopped for a second before it all poured out of the blades in a huge bold heading right for Kenta.

At that precise moment, Kenta ended the string of hand signs he had been weaving as his chakra finished moulding. He took in the biggest breath he could, 'Please let this work' he begged in his mind as he prepared to release the breath and he mentally called out 'Futon: Dibaindorirueā dangan' (Wind release: divine drilling air bullet).

The next moment, a torrent of spiralling air was released from his mouth and shot forward with all the force of the Fūton: Kamikaze jutsu that almost knocked Kenta off his feet from the force of which it was expelled. It was only due to the chakra that he was using to keep himself upright in his legs and feet that kept him stuck to the spot as the torrent of air sped forward towards the Raiton jutsu and Raiga.

The moment the two jutsu met in the middle of the clearing they were in, nature took its course. As the nature of the futon jutsu dissipated the powerful bolt of lightning as it tore its way through it.

Raiga could do nothing but widen his eyes in shock in the split second before the spinning torrent crashed into him. His cries of pain were muted by the sound of the howling winds as it shredded him, knocking him back and off his feet as deep gashes were gouged out of his exposed skin and his clothes were shredded by the powerful winds over the length of the jutsu before they continued on and passed him shredding the bark off the trees and cutting deep slashes in all it caught in its wake.

Kenta kept the jutsu going for as long as he could, not daring to stop for fear that it wasn't enough, but eventually he had to when he felt his chakra reserves dwindling low.

As the jutsu faded Raiga's body fell to the ground with a wet thud, his body cut to ribbons and his eyes lifeless, his body lay still as blood began to pool around him as the twin swords Kiba stuck into the ground twenty feet behind him.

Kenta gasped for breath from the exhaustion of combining the two jutsu, he could feel the darkness seeping into what remained of his vision, his strength fading. His chakra was gone, used up in that last jutsu and he couldn't keep himself up any more. With a pained breath, he felt his legs give out as his knees buckled and gravity pulled his body forward as he began to collapse. He hit the ground with a thud. His remaining eye slowly closing. He could just about hear the desperate cries of Anko and Sayaka as darkness claimed him.

With Anko and Sayaka

The second that the cave entrance had cleared both Anko and Sayaka had gotten clear of the cave leaving the charred corpse of Sadai in their wake. They raced into the tree line as they hurried to find Kenta.

Anko was a good enough sensor to pick up Kenta's large chakra reserves and got them going in the general direction. It didn't take long to pick up the trail, it wasn't hard with the path of destruction that the fight had left, from the broken trees and scorch marks. It was clear to both of them that Kenta and whoever he had been fighting had been going at each other hard.

When they had found the broken up parts of Kenta's whip sword that was when they began to worry, they knew that he never went anywhere without it. Finding the direction the fight had gone they kept going.

Anko's worry grew to panic for a moment when she felt Kenta's chakra signature dwindle down to near nothing before it spiked back up again. Neither of them knew what was happening before the torrent of wind had nearly ripped them off the tree branches they had been on. They had only just gotten out of the way just in time to avoid it.

They had arrived in the small clearing just in time to see Kenta collapse, both of them racing to him in shock and worry. Midnight was already laid by his side whimpering in worry and pain.

"Kenta!", "Kenta-Kun!"

Sayaka quickly turned him over onto his side to start treating his injuries only to let out a sharp gasp when she saw his bloody face and slashed eye. Anko swallowed hard at the sight and instantly wanted to kill the bastard who did this to him, he was her student damn it.

Collecting herself Sayaka instantly began to run through the hand signs for a diagnosis jutsu and began to check over his body first before moving to his move obvious injuries, her eyes brimming with tears as she did so.

"A poorly healed sprained ankle, multiple torn and strained muscles in his arms and legs as well as severe bruising and a number of hairline fractures on all four. A broken lower left rib, and three bruised ones, no intentional bleeding, but severe blood loss from his right eye being cleanly slashed down the middle, and a concussion, the cut has been poorly healed, but the eyeball has been severely damaged by lightning chakra, it's beyond saving, he'll need a transplant if he's to see out that eye again." Sayaka listed off, "He has severe chakra exhaustion, as well as total body exhaustion." Sayaka listed off as she popped a soldier pill into her mouth from her pouch to top up her chakra before doing the same with a blood pill into Kenta's mouth to replace his lost blood before she began running through the hand signs for her next jutsu.

"I can see to his limbs and his ribs here, but we need to get him somewhere sterile as soon as possible so that..." she explained pausing as she thought for a moment glancing to Kenta's destroyed eye and her mind flashed to the back to the black scroll that she had brought with her, and what it contained, 'Kaa-chan said that it was my responsibility now and that I'll know when it would be needed.' she thought before looking at Kenta again, 'If anyone ever deserved it, it would be you Kenta-Kun.' she thought before nodding and began treating his arms and legs, "I will be able to see to his transplant, I'll let you know as soon as I'm sure it's safe to move him"

Anko nodded not saying anything as she watched one of her students work to save the other, a grim expression on her face, mentally cursing her own incompetence, 'It was a fucking trap, how the fuck couldn't I have seen it. I should have seen it, the second we didn't find the other team we should have aborted and gotten the hell out of there, stupid, stupid, stupid' she raged in her mind before looking to the downed body of Kenta's opponent, the bastard who had done this to her student.

Clenching her fists, she made her way over towards the corpse wanting to see the bastard's face that had done this to Kenta. As she neared him her eyes widened, 'Raiga! Shit!' she had thought that name was familiar, she instantly recognized him from his bingo book picture, though he was pretty badly cut up, that last jutsu of Kenta's had really done a number on him.

Looking back to Kenta's prone form Anko couldn't help but shake her head, 'Gaki never does anything half-assed.' she thought to herself, 'Last I checked this bastard is listed as an A-Rank nuke-nin from Kiri, a former member of the Kiri no Shinobigatana Shichinin Shū, with a five million bounty on his head for desertion.' she thought to herself before she caught sight of the Kiba blades and blinked, 'Damn, looks like the Gaki is going to be one very wealthy gaki after this.' she thought to herself as she took out a scroll and began the process of sealing away the body and the blades separately, so that Kenta would be able to claim the bounty of his kill when they got back to Konoha.

It was fifteen minutes after that, when Sayaka's hands finally stopped glowing, "Anko-sensei, he's safe to move now," she reported as she moved to Midnight and began to check him over before she began healing his wounds, "Three broken ribs, and severe bruising," she muttered as she healed the whimpering ninken.

Another five minutes saw her ruffling his fur, his injuries treated "You'll be fine Midnight, you just have some residual chakra in you, it should hopefully dissipate in half an hour or so, and you'll be sore for a day. Just take it easy for a day or so okay." she assured the Ninken.

Anko nodded as she walked back over, "Alright, now that we know they are okay, we can get them somewhere to rest up and for you to see to the rest of Kenta's treatment." she said as she knelt down to gently pick Kenta up, "Come on. There should be a town just due east of here, we can lay up there. I'll send a message to Hokage-sama about what's happened, not sure how he's going to react to this." she said getting a nod from both Sayaka and Midnight before they took to the trees at a modest pace so as not to aggravate Kenta's stated and to allow Midnight to keep up.
