29 Naruto's mess

" Naruto, what are you doing there, come on in, class will begin in a while "

Naruto snapped his head up, like he was extremely eager as well as looking forward to attention he was never getting, poor sod he was.

" M-Mizuki sensei, I was just playing! Hahah I like swinging here a lot...! "

Naruto said as he quickly tried to sneakily wipe the tears off his face and give Mizuki a big smile.

Mizuki gave a big smile of his own as he waved Naruto to follow him in.

' People like him are the easiest to feel indebted, even a little affection will go a long way, but the problem is, he isn't just Naruto, he is also Ashura, no matter how much I do, he will always live by his own set of rules, ever so ' bright ' , same with Sasuke, no matter how much you do for him, he will always turn his face and stab through you, given you go against his ' mission ' doesn't matter if he hates doing it, he will do it all the same '

Sensing the anbu watching over on Naruto, hiding himself on a tree, Mizuki didn't show any surprise, it is to be expected, but Mizuki was indeed again reminded how great sage mode really is, after a few ins and outs with it, figuring out basic sensing even without going into it wasn't that hard, it was simply a matter of understanding how.

Now Mizuki could sense around himself, 360 degree no dead ends, yes, even below the ground, according to his calculation, his senses extended upto 5 kilometres with clarity, after that it starts to become less clear, though he can technically sense like that upto infinity, it works best within 5 km.

' It might sound extremely high, but funnily enough it's not, this is the exact distance a regular human eye see, even without chakra. Yes, my senses outside sage mode simply take the distance my body is naturally capable of sensing and amps it up, with 360 degree no dead ends and a little more '

Mizuki made small talk with Naruto as he went inside the currently empty classroom, Naruto hung his head as they entered the room

" Is this about the work at home Mizuki Sensei? I hahaha I forgot..! "

Rubbing the back of his head Naruto laughed as if he totally didn't care enough to do any work at all, no doubt trying to get a rise out of his teacher, in hopes of getting some attention, any kind of attention was okay.. at least there would be someone talking to him..

A angry shouting was fine, a blow to his head was okay too, even insulting him was something Naruto would be alright with, but a warm smile from Mizuki wasn't what Naruto was ready to do receive..

" Are you having trouble with your house work Naruto? Come here, I'll teach you, ask whatever you don't understand, even if it's the very basics of first year, no need to be shy, after all, graduation is coming close right. "

' Why.. '

Naruto was unable to understand why Mizuki wasn't scolding himself like Iruka sensei would, sure Mizuki sensei's eyes weren't the same hate filled eyes he was familiar with, but he still wasn't expecting this, he wouldn't dare to expect this.

As Naruto kept looking at Mizuki and Mizuki started collecting his first year books, no doubt, actually attempting to help him.

Naruto couldn't take it anymore, he was beginning to tear up even without Mizuki having to do anything much, only the words filled with genuine care were enough to send him over the edge, this wasn't a language he was familiar with, the language of care.

* Sniff Sniff *

This time around Naruto couldn't wipe his tears quickly enough, as they kept flowing down, not wanting Mizuki to see his sorry state Naruto decided to turn around and escape quickly.

All under Mizuki's senses, as his eyes stayed clam throughout the duration.

As he was about to run he bumped into Mizuki, who had flickered infront of him.

" It's okay Naruto.. It's all okay. "

Said Mizuki in his magnetic whisper like voice, as he rubbed Naruto head.

Once again sending Naruto over the edge as he started crying uncontrollably, blows to the head didn't do it to him, but Mizuki's caring pat was too much, Naruto was out of his zone.

' Even with crying this hard, he is still stifling the sounds of his sobs.. a habit developed by choice, likely forced by situations where crying would simply lead to more pain instead, wonder what lead to this, when a hurt Naruto's crying ' disturbed ' everyone's peace? Ha, the village truly is pathetic, manipulation via information gap is an effective, but often out of control technique, there are much better options, something they clearly either didn't think of or decided wasn't worth the effort for a newborn. '

As he kept rubbing Naruto's head with care, Naruto let his emotions out, bottled up within him for so long.

' Tell a man Naruto is the Nine tails fox, he will hate him, tell the same man Naruto kept the Nine tails fox locked up in a prison, he will praise him, it's simply a matter of wording, in both scenario everyone knows who the nine tails carrier is, but the outcome of both are totally different '

Mizuki knew it was unlikely Hiruzen couldn't have thought of such a simple truth, even the dying fourth hokage had worded Naruto as a hero, if we are to believe the Third, Danzo let everyone know, that's fine, even with the benefit of the doubt, what could have possibly prevented him from calling Naruto a hero anyway, this wouldn't added any new information to what everyone already knows, but it will change Naruto's life for the better all the same..

' The only thing that comes to mind is giving Naruto a good life simply wasn't intended. Tying him to the Third Hokage's faction was the original goal, this is just basic low level manipulation, ' Everyone hates you only I don't ' done to Naruto from birth should theoretically make him adverse to letting his caretaker, Hiruzen, down on anything, as doing so will take away his only support keeping him from the ' dangers ', it just backfired massively, as crude manipulation tactics such as these usually tend to do for various reasons, doing this to Ashura of all people was the reason in this particular scenario. '

Naruto had finally calmed himself down as he simply kept his head down, keeping quiet for a while, but as if it was all a lie Naruto looked up with a prank successful face and started laughing hard

" Hahahaha Mizuki sensei I got you! Hahaha you really thought I was crying! Hahaha you should have looked at your face..! "

Naruto's thoughts Mizuki didn't even have to guess, it was quite obvious knowing no way out Naruto decided to put this on his reputation as a prankster.

He could almost feel the dread coming from Naruto, as he was very clearly thinking something along the lines of making Mizuki hate him too.

Losing a blimp of gentleness wasn't something Naruto wanted, but he didn't know any other way, he was doomed.
