Chapter 9: Adoption Completed
(A:N Got too stoned to write yesterday, so sorry about that <3.)
"Uhh, you caught me in a bad time actually, I was just cleaning up some wood carvings." I explained as I walked into my back room with my broom still in hand.
"Oh, my apologizes, I can wait in the front of the shop for a moment if you need." Mikoto said, stopping in front of the back door.
"Then, I'll clean it up as fast as possible." I said, thanking Mikoto.
Quickly entering my bedroom, I swept up the wood carvings before emptying them in a small bin I had in my bathroom.
Walking back to Mikoto, I set the broom up against the wall, "Alright, you can come in now." I said, inviting her in to talk.
As we entered, Kabuto was already sitting at the small table I had in the center of my room, eating oranges that I had in a basket.
"You must be Kabuto-kun." Mikoto asked Kabuto, who replied with a small nod, getting a chuckle out of Mikoto.
Walking over to the table I had, both me and Mikoto sat down, and started are discussion.
"I'm sorry for not being prepared, I wasn't expecting anyone to visit so soon." I apologized to Mikoto.
"It's quite alright, but as the Clan Leader's wife, I'm in charge of his paperwork while he is out on missions, when I saw your request I was quite surprised, and I rushed over here." Mikoto explained.
"I know it's quite rare for a clan member to adopt a child, but why did you rush over?" I asked, slightly confused on what she meant.
"My husband wouldn't allow a child to be adopted into the clan for no reason, so I'm hoping to finish all the paper work before he returns, so he doesn't find out." Mikoto explained.
It made sense, it's rare in clans, as when a child is adopted inside, they have accesses to all materials that normal clan children are provided, and Fugaku wouldn't allow someone without the Sharingan to join the clan.
"I see, did you bring the paper work I had to fill out?" I asked Mikoto, before she pulled out a storage scroll and placed it on the table.
I watch in horror as when she unsealed it, it revealed a stack of paper the size of which rivaled some ones in the Hokage's office.
"All that!?" I asked, surprised at the amount.
"Nope, that was just the adoption paper work." Mikoto said, moving the stack of papers to the side, before unsealing a smaller but still large stack of paper.
"This is the paperwork in case you want to enroll Kabuto into the Academy." Mikoto explained.
"And the best part is, the deadline for both is in three days." Mikoto said with a chuckle before standing up.
"Just bring it all to the Hokage's office whence you're done, I'm sure he'll be glad to get another stack of paper work to add to his collection, I'll be taking my leave now." Mikoto jested, as she made her way out of my small shop, only snapping out of my thoughts by the sound of the front door's bell ringing, signifying she left.
"Nii-san, who was that?" Kabuto asked confused.
"That was Mikoto Uchiha, the clan leader's wife, make sure to treat her with respect whenever you meet her." I explained to Kabuto.

Hiruzen was gazing at the massive pile of paper with a desolate look on his face, "Well, I didn't expect your request to be completed so fast." Hiruzen said with a tired tone in his voice.
"After reviewing everything you sent in yesterday, I can finally approve your request." Hiruzen looked down at Kabuto before continuing, "From now on, you are Kabuto Uchiha, carry around your name with honor." Hiruzen said with a warm smile.
"Thank you Hokage-sama for helping me through this entire processes." I said, giving my thanks to Hiruzen.
"It's my job as Hokage, and most of the work was done by Shikaku, I wasn't sure I could have completed it in such short time." Hiruzen said with a small chuckle.
"I'll be dismissing myself now, take care Hokage-sama." I said, preparing to leave, "You to, remember Academy starts in a week." Hiruzen replied before continuing to attend to his mountain of paperwork.
Walking down the street while holding Kabuto's hand, we went to an empty training ground I knew about.
Finally arriving at the training ground, I turned around to Kabuto, we already had a conversation about him attending the academy.
"Like Hokage-sama said, Academy starts in a week, so, until you attend the academy, I'll be helping you train." I said, while Kabuto gave me a nod, looking excited.
"First thing we'll do is unlock your Chakra Circuit, this is crucial as you won't be able to utilize chakra until you do, first step is to sit down in the lotus position with your back facing me.
"What now?" Kabuto asked with his back facing me, "First, you must feel the Chakra in your chest, and slowly channel it through your body, through this process, you'll open your Chakra Circuit." I explained.
Kabuto focused and started attempting to channel his chakra, while I placed my hands on his back, and helped guide it with my own chakra.
And after a bit of effort, he managed to do it, "I did it Nii-chan!" Kabuto said excitedly as he felt the warmness flow through his body.
"Good job, here inject a little chakra into this, it'll help you find out your chakra affinity." I said while handing him a Piece of Chakra Induction Paper.
Kabuto grabbed the Chakra Induction Paper before injecting a small amount of chakra into it.
The paper split in half, before one side turned to dirt and crumbled, and the other side turned damp, although I wasn't surprised as I already knew what natures he could use, it was cool to see in person.
"You have the affinities with Water, Earth, and Wind, it's rare to just have two affinities, but you have three!" I said, congratulating Kabuto, as he had a big smile on his face.
"We'll start the 'Leaf Sticking Exercise', let's go home, I haven't had a good night sleep since I was given that paper work." I said hopelessly while Kabuto gave a small chuckle.
