Chapter 89: All According to Plan

After boarding out of the ship, everyone had to go for a security check where the goods/luggage was going to be checked and people also had to tell their identities and motives for coming here.

Shikuro looked at his students and instructed "We would have to meet with the Mist shinobi who is responsible for checking foreign shinobi that are entering their borders. They would take our mission scroll and check whether the scroll is genuine or not. It is genuine so we don't have to be worried. No matter what happens and whatever shit those shinobi say, don't react whatsoever, and don't lose your calm. We don't want any conflict to happen otherwise they would have the right to reject us entry. Understood?"

The genins nodded as Shikuro took out two face masks which were similar to what Kakashi Hatake wore as he handed them down to both Ken and Itachi.

"Are you worried that the Mist shinobi would recognize us and would want to kidnap us or kill us?" Ken asked seeing the masks.

Itachi though just scoffed "Idiot, They would easily recognise us even without the masks since we are traveling with Shikuro sensei. Only his genin team would travel with him."

Shikuro nodded "Correct, It does not matter even if Mist Shinobi recognizes you or not anyways. I am pretty sure that they would not do anything rash. I am giving you this mask because the bounty hunters might still act against us. There are a lot of bounty hunters around here since the Mist lets them hunt their rogue shinobi."

"Bounty hunters usually rely on their informants to give them information for bounty targets. Without your masks not many would be able to recognize you and we don't want bounty hunters to interfere with our mission or things might get complicated. You two have quite a bounty on your heads and since you are less than 10 years old, You are a desirable target for any bounty hunter. As for me, there are not many bounty hunters that would go after an S-rank shinobi."

'So now I have to be worried about bounty hunters? Where the fuck were the bounty hunters when the nine tails jinchuriki, the son of the fourth Hokage, Naruto, and one of the last Uchiha, Sasuke started going on their missions. Why did no one fucking hunt them down? And why did not they have any bounty? That Kishimoto really left a lot of loopholes in his story. And now because of the lack of Knowledge provided by him, it would cost me. Anyways, It's only thanks to him that I could enter such a magnificent world so I should not complain much.' Ken cursed Kishimoto before thanking him for creating the world of Naruto.

Ken wore his mask as he looked at Itachi and mocked him "Itachi does not need a mask. I am handsome so naturally, people would recognize me easily unlike you who always has a frown on his face. Who would recognize such a person?"

"I don't have a frown on my face every time." Itachi retorted as he looked at Shikuro and Kabuto to support him.

"Correct, he smiles when he is playing with his little brother Sasuke," Kabuto said

"And I rest my case, Your Honour!" Ken smirked

"Enough let's go," Shikuro said as the genins followed him.

"Leaf shinobi huh? It looks like we have hit a jackpot today. Some stupid leaf shinobi trying to enter the Land of Water." The Jonin that was responsible for checking out the foreign shinobi said while licking his lips with a bloodthirsty smile.

Another man whispered in his ears as the man's eyes moved to Shikuro. The Jonin had sweat dripping from his back. This was not due to the fear of the presence of an S-rank shinobi but because of the rumors about the painful death that Shikuro's forbidden jutsu causes.

"We are here only for official business. We are here escorting Mr. Denki who is here to sell the goods and under the agreement between our daimyos both Konoha and Kiri Shinobi can freely escort their merchant through the other country. Here is our scroll. You can confirm it." Shikuro did not mind their reaction as he handed them the scroll which was signed by organizations of both Land of Water and Land of Fire that functioned similarly to an embassy.

They checked the scroll and verified the details. After seeing that everything checked out, the jonin addressed the leaf shinobi.

"Fine, You are free to enter the Land of Water but you would be accompanied by one of my men. It's for security purposes." The Kiri shinobi said not willing to take the risk when they were on high alert due to the peace treaty that was going to be signed between Suna and Kiri. Well, only the Jonin knew what really was going to happen and they did not want Konoha to get a wind of it since a Peace treaty between Suna and Kiri would be detrimental to Konoha and they would surely try to stop the signing of this treaty.

Unlucky for them, Leaf had someone with the second-best spy network in the world who had already discovered their plan and had relayed it to the Hokage.

"Acceptable" Shikuro nodded as they had taken this situation into account too and had already prepared for it.

A chunin followed them and the merchant to their destination. Ken was talking to the mist shinobi to annoy him by asking silly questions and the mist shinobi was already on the verge of lashing out.

"So do you mist shinobi really drink blood like the rumours say?" Ken asked

"Would you shut up, You....," Before he could continue, he saw Shikuro glaring at him which made him shut up as he answered Ken's question.

Shikuro turned his head forward as a smirk formed on his face.

'All according to the plan.'
