18 Chapter 18: Shadow Clone Jutsu

Hiruzen then showed him the hand signs for the shadow clone jutsu. "Now split your chakra into two exactly equal halves. Mukai with his byakugan will tell us whether you have split the chakra equally or not. Until you manage to do it perfectly, You will keep doing it."

It took Ken a few hours to make a clone with exactly half of his chakra. He would have been drained of chakra if not for the fact that once he disperses a clone, he gets its chakra back.

"Good Job Ken. Now before you start your training with hand signs, I would tell you something interesting and a pretty good technique for ninjutsu users."

"Some C rank jutsus can do as much damage as a B rank or even an A rank jutsu if you power it up by more chakra. It's called supercharging jutsus. You even have already used it when you did the fireball jutsu. You can even make your Earth dome jutsu stronger and thicker by supercharging it making it able to hold out against stronger jutsus. You just have to use more chakra into a jutsu to make it stronger." Hiruzen explained

'So if Naruto learned a wind style:Breakthrough jutsu and he supercharges it with 80 percent of his chakra, the entire Konoha forest would be gone? The perks a protagonist gets!' Ken thought

"Alright, now you can start training your jutsus and hand signs. Good luck." With that, Hiruzen disappeared. But then he appeared back.

"On second thought, You should train in training ground 26 which is isolated from all forests. You can cause as much destruction as you want there." Hiruzen said before disappearing again.

------- Scene Change---

Hiruzen appeared in his office. He dispersed his shadow clone as he absorbed its memory.

An anbu appeared in front of him wearing the dragon mask.

"Shinsuke" Hiruzen greeted him

"Father, How is little Ken's training going on?" Shinsuke asked since he did not get much time to spend with his son due to his duties as the Anbu commander

"It is going well. In fact, it's going better than what I expected. Yes, his talent in taijutsu and Shurinkenjutsu is average. But his talent in ninjutsu far surpasses mine. You know he grasped all eight jutsus that I taught him within 1-3 attempts? On top of that, his chakra reserves are massive. Not to forget his two kekkei genkais. He is a prodigy in the making Shinsuke. You should try to meet him more often. Even Asuma meets him more often than you." Hiruzen said

"I will try Father." Shinsuke said

"I was thinking of making him join the academy after six months when the new academy year begins." Hiruzen said

"But he would be only five while the minimum age to join the academy is 6. Well, You are the Hokage so you can still change it by a year. But I am worried that his talent would catch unwanted eyes." Shinsuke said expressing his worries

"You don't have to worry about that. As long as he is in Konoha, no one would be able to harm him. When he will graduate, he should be strong enough to at least protect himself. Besides, I would appoint a capable and strong Jonin for his genin team." Hiruzen said

"I see father."

"Tell me about the village rebuilding process."

"Yes father, Every building that was destroyed has been successfully rebuilt. The Academy is now built near the center of the village next to the Hokage building. Merchants who feared for their lives and safety after the nine-tailed attack have started coming back to the village. The dead civilians have been replaced by new civilians trying to buy property in the village. The chances of spies have been reduced as we did an identity check but still some spies would slip in."

"We are also receiving new missions every day so there is no shortage of missions and income. Of the 150 root anbu, you sent me, 30 of them were deemed to be too loyal to Danzo. The rest of the 120 anbu were brainwashed to believe in Danzo but with some Yamanaka sessions and the regular Anbu training, they have managed to get some of their emotions back."

"The thirty root who were too loyal to Danzo were assigned in teams among themselves. They were assigned assassination missions, espionage and spying missions since they were pretty good at it. The rest were added to the Anbu Corps. The rise in the number of Anbus was pretty useful and showed the other villages that Leaf was still strong despite the nine-tails attack."

"We can't do much about the spies that come to the village. Just keep an eye on the village and they would eventually be found out. I never expected Danzo to have so many root shinobi. I expected Danzo to brainwash them but to this degree was unexpected. I will have to keep a closer eye on him."

"Showing our strength to other villages is necessary. The third great ninja war might have ended. However many villages have not signed a cease-fire agreement or a peace treaty yet. The sand has allied with the leaf while Iwa due to suffering losses from Minato has signed a ceasefire. But Kumo and Mist have not signed a peace treaty with us yet. Kiri has signed with Kumo and Iwa but not with Suna and Leaf. While the fourth Raikage is unhappy with the death of the third Raikage, his father by the hands of Iwa shinobi and thus Kumo is still having small skirmishes." Hiruzen heaved a sigh as he smoked his pipe.

"After they are done with Iwa, Kumo will surely target Leaf next. While Mist shinobi are already getting spotted in the land of fire. I don't think that we would have peace for the next five years."
