28 Chaoter 28: Troubled Itachi

It has been a day since Itachi's spar with Lord Hokage's grandson. To be very honest Itachi did not think that Ken would be so strong despite being a year younger than him.

But none the less he was happy. He was always hailed as a genius in the clan. But it was nice to know for him that there is someone who is more of a genius than he is.

But it did not mean that he would lose to Ken again. He would keep training harder until he manages to beat him.

Even when he lost, his father acknowledged him for his strength. The other clan members has also congratulated him for awakening his sharingan.

Speaking of sharingan, despite it being chakra draining, Itachi thought that it was incredible.

Whenever he uses sharingan, it is as if the world has turned slow in his eyes. He could even put people under a genjutsu with a look. No wonder the Uchiha clan is being hailed as being the strongest dojutsu clan there is.

All his happiness only lasted until he went to his classroom and took his seat.

Ken was jumping around him.

"Hey, Itachi! Guess what? We're classmates now! This is gonna be so much fun!" Ken said in pure excitement.

Itachi could only smile wryly as he saw Ken taking the seat next to him "Yes, it seems that way, Ken."

Ken poked Itachi's forehead with his fingers.

"Hey, Itachi! Since i beat you, You have to call me Ken senpai. If you don't, I would melt your bones." Ken said arrogantly

Itachi sighed for the nth time since he met Ken. He knew at this point of time to not take Ken's threats seriously. He did not really burn anyone.

Itachi took out one of the academy books on Physics as he began to read it.

"Hey Itachi, how are you so good at shurikenjutsu? How do you even make the shurinkens curve in the air? How do you hit the kunais in midair to change their directions?" Ken kept pestering Itachi with his questions

Itachi sighed trying to shake Ken off "Ken, please. I'm trying to concentrate on my studies."

"I would stop if you teach me shurikenjutsu." Ken said

"Well, it's not that simple, Ken. You need years of training and-"

Ken cut Itachi off excitedly "I can do it! I'll start training right now! Teach me, sensei!"

Itachi facepalmed realizing he got played by Ken "Fine, I would teach you."

Ken pumped his fist in victory.

At this time, the chunin instructor of their class came in. His name was Hukai Yani. He asked everyone to introduce themselves.

The first one to introduce himself was Ken.

"My name is Ken Sarutobi. I like sweets, burning or melting things, learning new jutsus. I don't like Taijutsu and maths. My dream is to become the greatest Ninjutsu shinobi that there ever will be." Ken said

Next was Itachi's turn

"My name is Itachi Uchiha....I.....I want to be the greatest ninja ever, great enough that I can erase all fighting from this world."

"Too bad, you won't be the greatest ninja ever, since I will be the greatest. You can become the second greatest though." Ken said making the rest of the class laugh.

'I just burned Itachi Uchiha. Hahahaa' Ken laughed in his mind.

But Itachi was not going to take it lying down.

"I am rethinking of my decision to teach you Shurinken Jutsu." Itachi said

"Itachi Senpai, you are going to be the greatest shinobi. Everyone in the class also agrees with me." Ken bowed as he glared at the rest of the class who stopped their laughing and nodded in agreement with Ken.

Itachi had a smirk on his face.

One by one everyone introduced themselves

When a brown haired kid was introducing himself, Ken asked Itachi

"He is a Senju? Were not they supposed to be extinct?" Ken remembered that the only alive Senju in the anime was Tsunade.

"There number have reduced. But there are still quite a few of them present in the village. Since except the Sanin Tsunade, no other senju is widely renown. You also should not say that a clan is extinct. Its quite rude." Itachi said

There were 30 students in their class. 2 each from Ino-Shiko-Cho clans, 2 from Sarutobi clan including Ken, a Shimura, an Aburame, a Hyuga, a senju, a Uchiha (Itachi), two inazuka, the rest were civilians or from some less renowned clans.

Most of their classes were theory classes like history, maths etc. The only physical class was physical training class where they had to jog and do other physical exercises.

Itachi was pestered by questions during most of the classes during their first day.

During the lunch break, Ken was eating Ramen which he had Mukai go and bring him for him from Ichiraku.

Suddenly, Ken slurps his ramen loudly, causing a noodle to smack Itachi on the cheek who was eating the lunch prepared by his mother.

Ken giggled seeing this "Oops, sorry, Itachi-senpai, my ramen got excited!"

Itachi wiped his cheek "You and your ramen are quite the troublemakers."

'Should I take an early graduation?' Itachi thought looking at Ken.

The first day of the academy was pretty long for Itachi as he walked back home. On the other hand, it was pretty fun for Ken.

He had enjoyed spending time with one of the most iconic characters of the naruto world from his previous life memories.
