CHAPTER 1

I BECAME A DWARF

The moment I opened my eyes I saw an unfamiliar ceiling. Suddenly, I felt a severe headache.

I looked around the room while cursing, it was dark, damp and cold, I noticed I was covered in a worn out quilt and wondered how I got here and prepared to sit up on the bed while enduring the pain in my head, but with the sudden movement, dizziness struck like a washing machine and I groaned on the bed.

"Ghaakk….. my head is spinning and it's like I have a boulder in my head…. What happened to me last night?"

I checked the last memory before I fell asleep last night and saw nothing wrong with it. I remember that after I got home from the store where I work, I ate my dinner and watched some videos online and fell asleep at one a.m. in the morning, like the usual things I do everyday.

After a while, I came back to my sense and my headache slowly subsided along with my vertigo. I slowly stood up, clutching my head with my left hand and holding the wall next to me with my right hand. Then I inched closer to the door. When I opened the door I saw a dilapidated living room of the house. It looked like no one is here except for me, and this room looked like it has not been cleaned for a few months or even years.

"Where am I? And whose house is this? Did someone kidnapped me and decided to sell my organs?"

While wondering about the answers, I moved to the closed window where light passes through a small gap. I looked outside from the small gap, it was night outside and silent.

I can see few houses that have lights on, but I got confused because they are using torches. Almost all houses in our country have access to electricity, so this is a little surprising. I decided to walk back into the room and get some sleep after eating something because I feel that my body is currently very weak. That's when I realized that I seemed to have become smaller when I looked into my hands. I didn't notice it earlier because of the headache and vertigo.

"The f***!!... did I became a dwarf? Did someone cursed me to become small?... No.. It seems like my body regressed into a child… How is that possible?"

I observed myself for a while and was stunned of the result, because the scars on my body since I was a child was gone and my hair is now purple in colour with shoulder length, and obviously I'm smaller than before and very skinny too. I estimate this body to be around three to four years old.

I went to the house kitchen to look for food and water. I saw some roasted potato and the water was on a clay jar.

"Who the f*** uses clay jar in 21st century!!!."(A.N.: people who uses clay jars, please don't get offended, this is not an insult.)

I ate some of the potatoes until I was satisfied and drank the water in the jar. When I was eating, I choked and almost died.

"I'm too hungry and ate too fast that I almost killed myself…. Wheeww…. Sorry me…I need to get some rest, I'm so skinny I might fall when the wind blows at me."

Earlier, I noticed that there was only one room and there are no other shoes or slippers except for one pair of wooden sandal, just like what I saw in the Japanese culture, I concluded that I am the only one living in this house so I relaxed a little.

"Did I turn back time or something? My shirt and shorts are also rough in handiwork with few patches here and there."

"F@#$ it....I'll think of these and other problems tomorrow, my head still hurts."

So, I went back to the bed, which was made from straw and covered in rough linen. "meh….better than nothing"..then I went back to dreamland.
