Restful Day

Kakashi grinned, and faced forward to address the people of the village. Kakashi's clones stood around him.

"Alright everyone!! I'm Mr. Breast! like yesterday, I'm giving out food for free! Divide yourselves into two lines. Come and eat to your fullest"

The villagers scrambled, hoping that Kakashi would serve the mouth watering foods.

He broke their hearts again, however, serving everyone bland brown rice and greens. Kakashi was making good constant points with this method, and he wouldn't give it up so easily.

His scumbag notification kept popping up and Kakashi was pleased. Sakura walked up to him with pleading eyes. Although she wasn't a glutton, she really wanted to try those delicious looking foods.

"Kakashi sensei, please I want to have some of those nice stuff too."

Kakashi looked at Sakura, smiled and glanced over at Naruto. His belly wasn't big, but he kept stuffing himself nonstop, to the dismay of the village kids. Welcome to the world of diabetes, Kakashi thought. His eyes roamed over Sakura's body.

"It's not free Sakura. Are you willing to do anything, to taste them all and have the time of your life?"

"Yes sir," she said, looking up at him expectantly.

"You are going to suck my dick when I want it."

Sakura cringed at first. But sucking Kakashi's dick in exchange to taste all these edible wonders was nothing. She was going to do it, even if her throat became sore.

"Yes sir, I'll suck you later…" Sakura said as she went over to Naruto and picked out a few treats.

….

….

Later that night, Kakashi returned home with Naruto and Sakura, who were holding their bellies and breathing fast in short, harsh gasps. Naruto and Sakura had eaten more than their fill, so they collapsed on the large cushion in the living room.

Kakashi looked around the parlor and dining area. Sasuke wasn't home yet. Tsunami was preparing dinner. She came out to the dining room. Kakashi decided to ask her about Sasuke.

"Did Sasuke come home earlier today?"

"No. I haven't seen him since he left in the morning" Tsunami replied very coldly, and went back into the kitchen. In her tired state, Sakura raised an eyebrow.

Old man Tazuna walked into the living room, with Inari by his side. He looked refreshed, and flashed Kakashi a wide smile. He turned to Naruto and Sakura, who looked pale, exhausted holding their distended bellies, and burst out laughing. He sat down with Inari.

"You two were part of Kakashi's, no, I mean Mr. Breast's free food spree!" he continued, laughing in-between his words. "The word spread around the village, Kakashi-sir"

This was an over exaggeration of things, Kakashi thought, shaking his head. The unexpected praise felt unreal to him. He never liked praises, but he gave a small smile.

"I must say, the Ninjas in Konoha are different. You have proved time and time again that you have a good heart, and are open to the needs of the people around you. I don't know how you managed to pull it off, and I know this sounds unapologetic, but I'm really grateful I lied about this mission. Thank you for staying behind, and helping out my people. Thank you for giving them a new ray of hope….."

"Food is ready, everyone!" Tsunami shouted, carrying in large bowls of curry and rice, placing them on the dining table and walking back to the kitchen.

Sakura chuckled when she heard Kakashi being praised. If only they knew that Kakashi taunted the villagers with good food the whole day while only giving them bland ones…

"Tsunami-chan" old man Tazuna beamed "Kakashi helped the villagers with food, twice in a row. Isn't that awesome?"

"Otou-san, I have been very busy today. Please don't tell me unnecessary things"

Tsunami had stopped her father's praise on purpose.

Old man Tazuna was taken aback by her response, but he didn't say anything.

Kakashi was grinning from ear to ear.

In the kitchen, Tsunami sighed heavily and took a deep breath. She felt ashamed that her father had no clue of what was really going on. To her, there was no way Kakashi was doing good to the villagers without a purpose. Something had to be fishy behind it.

Tsunami walked back to the dining table, serving plates and spoons in hand. Everyone was seated at the dining table, except Sasuke.

She dished out food for her father and Inari. Naruto was half- asleep, drooling a bit. Sakura found it gross, and her head was on the table. They gestured to Tsunami that they wouldn't eat.

She looked at Kakashi, and he gestured the same. She sat down on the chair in front of him, unable to look him in the eye.

Sakura, becoming worried about Sasuke's absence, stood up and began pacing up and down the dining area. She noticed that Inari was constantly glancing at something on the wall. The silence was overwhelming, and only the chewing sounds made by Old man Tazuna and Inari could be heard.

Kakashi decided to ask old man Tazuna about the progress made on building the bridge. If this was the same as the Naruto original series, the battle with Zabuza was supposed to take place the day after tomorrow.

"Tazuna, I wanted to know about the progress of the construction of the bridge. We haven't talked about it in a while"

"Ah yes. I always leave home very early in the morning" old man Tazuna replied. He bowed his head, suddenly looking solemn.

"Progress on the bridge has been very slow, Kakashi-sir. The workers receive death threats of themselves or family members from Gato and his thugs."

Kakashi rolled his eyes in his head. This piece of information isn't important to him anyway, he thought and nodded his head in affirmation, like he was interested in what old man Tazuna was saying.

"Unfortunately, in this noble task of building the bridge for the revival of our village, most of the workers had to choose between the bridge and their loved ones. They chose the latter. I'm afraid we will need more time to finish up the bridge."

Sakura's eyes caught a picture hanging on the wall in the dining area. It was a picture of old man Tazuna's family. They were all smiling happily, except there was a torn part of the photo.

How didn't she see this before?.

"Excuse me, why is there a torn picture hanging here?" Sakura asked curiously and continued: "Inari was looking at this photo all through dinner. This torn part looks like someone who was in the picture and was deliberately torn off"

Old man Tazuna, Inari and Tsunami stiffened their chairs, their faces becoming sad and solemn.

"It's my husband…." said Tsunami, the corner of her eyes filling up with tears.

"He's a man who was once called a hero of this town…." old man Tazuna said, glancing at Tsunami. She looked away from him.

Inari got up and walked towards the door.

"Inari, where are you going?"

Inari didn't answer her as he slammed the door behind him.

"Otou-san, I'm always telling you not to talk about that man in detail in front of Inari" Tsunami hissed, and walked in haste to her room.

Kakashi felt amused by the situation, and looked at Sakura, who kept her head low.

Sakura didn't know she would hurt the family by bringing up that particular question. She did it out of curiosity, and she felt a little bad now. Naruto was partly awake now, his head still resting on the table.

"Inari had a father not related by blood. It was like they were real father and son who got along really well…Inari has changed, ever since the incident that happened with his father"

"Which incident? What happened with Inari?" asked Sakura, sitting back down on her chair. Kakashi shot her a very amused look, wanting her to ask more questions and encourage the sad situation.

Why are you looking at me like that, you scum?, Sakura said in her mind, eyeing Kakashi.

"Inari had first met his father when three boys from the village tried to drown him and his dog. He had saved his life and from then on, Inari saw him as a hero. A special bond began to form between them. One night, it rained heavily in the village, and the water that surrounded us rose up and flooded the whole village, terribly. Luckily for most of the villagers, we had escaped to the village tower. All except a family of three. They were asleep, and they didn't hear the shouts of the alarmed villagers" old man Tazuna said and paused, taking a gulp of water.'

He clenched his fists and continued, "Nobody in the village could swim down there to tie the rope to get to them. It was dark, and the water was flowing very fast. This man decided to do it. He swarmed in those angry waters, and tied the rope. The family and himself were saved from the flood. That night, he earned the name ' The hero of the town'"

Old man Tazuna sniffed to hold back tears.

"A few weeks later, Inari introduced him to Tsunami. They got married after two months.

I have never seen them so happy then. Two years later, Gato and his men arrived at the village. Because he resisted Gato's movement and increment in power in the village, he was captured, tortured and executed to death in front of the entire village. Inari has never remained the same since then…."
