Of course there are many sub categories of these aspects. Taijutsu, ninjutsu, genjutsu, and kenjutsu can be used for long range, mid range and short range attacks. Certain attacks may have an area of effect damage while others may only target one person. Some types of defensive jutsu may only protect the skin, others the bones, others the muscles, others the internal organs. Some defensive jutsu can be used to block area of effect attacks while others may only block attacks suited for one person.
Recovery jutsu are rare and valuable yet there are many types of recovery techniques. Medical jutsu that heals wounds, chakra absorbing jutsu that steal and absorb chakra from opponents, yang release jutsu that absorb physical energy to recover limbs and heal wounds, yin release jutsu that absorb mental energy to recover limbs and heal wounds. Some recovery techniques aren't even used to heal people but structures, seals, weapons and other material and non organic items.
Investigation is perhaps the second most versatile aspect behind attack. Investigation jutsu use scent, tracks, sound and residue chakra to find or identify the position of an opponent or multiple opponents. In truth investigative jutsu and escape jutsu go hand in hand forming a type hold that isn't easily broken. Many clans specialize in this aspect for it's versatility and for good reason.
Jutsu used to escape, hide or confuse enemies are the most common among ninja and are the aspect of combat most invested in because it doesn't actually involve combat but instead avoids combat entirely.
Comprehensive combat systems need a stable and careful balance of these aspects. My original combat system revolves around consecutive hits using kenjutsu and wind release to slowly wear down enemies in a battle of stamina and endurance. Now however many more types of jutsu have recently been added to my collection and now my combat system is sloppy and unbalanced which isn't a good thing.
At present the most logical option would be to make three separate combat systems. One that involves kenjutsu and wind release while making use of my incredible healing factor to fight one on one battles. And another that uses long range wind release and water release jutsu to overwhelm large groups of enemies. The third combat system would never be used by me but one of my shadow clones, strong bone armor that can't be broken as defense and area of effect bone jutsu that targets large amounts of people. Fuinjutsu is a support base for space time ninjutsu but with just flying thunder it's impossible to actually just use only fuinjutsu.
The reason it worked for Minato was because he has bullshit plot armor and ridiculous durability that doesn't make sense. If anyone other than the father of the son of destiny used the flying thunder god like Minato they'd die from a random kunai being thrown in their direction. Minato didn't even use a basic defensive jutsu to protect his skin, how the hell did he survive the 3rd great shinobi war?
I don't honestly know but than again maybe his cells mutated to be monstrous due to his chakra messing with them? I don't have enough insight into the field of genetics or medical jutsu to be hypothesizing about any of this so it's a problem for the future me.
The port of Dorumi Village comes into view below me. The sea around the village has light brown water that is very murky and hard to see through. Large ships carrying important cargo constantly enter and leave the busy village transporting many items from all sorts of different places across the sea.
"Eh Kakashi I'll show you the many applications of wind release. Watch carefully the easiest way to learn jutsu is through watching other people's examples."

Dark storms roll in over Dorumi Village as the lightning chakra crackles with powerful black lightning striking down on my hands.
"Uh, sensei?"
All the wind in a 100 kilometer radius gathers in my hand forming a giant black ball of raging wind and thunderous lightning. My hand shapes the ball manually with water release and the three nature chakras mix together in unity.
My hands raise to the sky as the ball of dark lightning, wind, and water chakra expands dozens of times reaching the size of a bijuu bomb. The civilians below cower in fear at my suppressive and demon like chakra that devours the nature energy around me.
Yes, due to the effects of <Hollow Demon> I can safely consume nature energy and use it to increase the strength of my jutsu by ten fold.
"Citizens of Dorumi Village! Say goodbye to your homeland."
Like a falling star the dense ball of dark chakra falls down with overbearing might as every single person in that village flies up to meet it due to it's gravitational pull. Buildings, carts, people and animals alike float towards the menacing force of nature in despair unable to defy their fate.
Thousands of people cry and shout for their lives as they approach the massive bomb far bigger than any regular S-Rank jutsu. Indeed <Astral Fusion> is a good name for this jutsu, in the future when I have control over earth and fire nature I'll modify this jutsu to serve as my ultimate technique.
The ships all along the port fly up to meet me as my wind chakra forcefully makes them soar through the air. I carefully land on the biggest ship and Kakashi falls off my back and vomits on the ground unable to handle the high speed travel.
Well at least he's adjusting better than I thought he would. My hand runs his back gently as the familiar notification of the system rings loudly.
