13 Tsunade and the Hokage (2)

/Hokage's office/

/Tsunade's POV/

"By the way, why did the Hyuga agree to the marriage? Although Zasu's potential is monstrous it isn't like Hiashi needs to marry his own heir off. He could have married his second daughter, although young it gives Zasu a bit of time before the marriage." I asked curious

"Ah, so you have kept up with the village affairs after you left?" Hiruzen asked surprised

"No… not exactly." I said embarrassed "After I heard that the arrangement went through, I asked Jiraiya about the Hyuga clan. He explained the basic structure of the Hyuga clan but not in detail."

"So that's why." He said softly "Well it's not that he decided on a whim, he was basically forced to accept." He told me

"How so?" I asked confused

Hiruzen looked at me "Well technically the Hyuga clan has no Official heir. Young Hinata lost her mother at a very young age. Her father was very stern in teaching her, but because she wasn't able to fully satisfy her father with her abilities, She grew meek and timid. After young Hanabi was born, she was supposed to get the Hyuga's curse mark placed on her, but because of the pleas of his sickly wife, Hiashi convinced the elders of the clan to postpone the placement as he did not know wether Hinata was capable enough to become the next clan head. The elders agreed, but told Hiashi after he made his decision, the mark is to be placed on his daughter who was not chosen."

"Wait, although what you are telling me is important and all. It does not explain why Hiashi was 'forced' to marry off Hinata." I asked impatiently

"Still as impatient as ever huh?" Hiruzen said rolling his eyes "well the reason for that is simple, Hinata never improved, while her sister Hanabi has shown excellent results to Hiashi. So it should already be apparent Hanabi will become the heir. Hiashi although stern, loves his daughters and is not willing to place the curse mark on either of them. Lately, the elders have been pressuring Hiashi more and more about the issue. Hiashi isn't even able to argue with them since the difference between young Hinata and Hanabi is so large."

Hiruzen took a breath and sat down on his chair before continuing "that is why he was forced to accept the marriage proposal, it's his only way out of his predicament. If he accepts, not only will he be able to appease the elders by appointing Young Hanabi as the heir. He will also be able to place young Hinata in a 'potential' position of influence, all while avoiding placing the curse mark on her. Since she will be the main wife of another Dojutsu clan that has much similarities to the byakugan, it will be unbecoming of her to have such a mark. Not even mentioning gaining many connections on top of that."

"So in the end it's all politics huh?" I sighed "well it started off as politics so it's no surprise it was deeper than what I assumed. The Hyuga clan not only avoids a internal conflict, but gain a connection to another dojutsu clan that has the potential to strengthen their own. They also gain the connections Zasu has, primarily me and the influence the 'Senju' name has. Makes me feel pity for the girl."

"Hahaha, although in the end young Hinata is forced to marry, at least she avoids the curse mark placement. She also will have a much calmer life without as much pressure, being a Main wife is a lot simpler than a clan head after all." Hiruzen laughed "I always wanted to end that practice, but the Hyuga clan is a founding clan. So it is not in my power to interfere."

I sighed while thinking about how a clan can place such inhumane measures on their fellow kin.

"Well if that's all I would like to leave." I said while thinking about Zasu "I'll have to tell Zasu about this once I'm back. I'm not particularly looking forward to it."

"Well having a student is hard Tsunade, I should know hahaha!" Hiruzen laughed self mockingly "go ahead the meeting is over and I need to speak with Hiashi." He waved me off

/Senju compound/

/3rd Person POV/

After finishing the tour of the compound Shizune decided to head out to go buy ingredients for dinner. The compound was huge but very empty, it made sense though as the only Senju alive was Tsunade. Most of the buildings in the compound were houses for the now deceased clan members. The compound had three private training grounds for the Senju clan and a tall building about 5 stories high which was the Senju library. The first story was open to the genin of the clan, it contained E and D rank jutsu. While the second story contained C rank jutsu, the third contained B rank jutsu, and the fourth A rank jutsu. The fifth story contained forbidden and S rank level jutsu, most of which were created by Tobirama Senju himself.

That was were Zasu was currently located in, while he entered the building he noticed the slight pressure that it was giving. While looking around he was surprised that the entire building was a giant seal! He put some of his Chakra that he kept in his 'strength of a hundred seal' that he learned from Tsunade into his eyes. They both began to glow vibrant blue while a crystal hue appeared over his eyes. His aura also turned more wild and oppressive. The Nature energy and Chakra in the building became visible to Zasu, which he was able to use to follow the flow of the chakra and see how it interacts with the giant seal.

'It absorbs the chakra from the world and uses Natural energy to pressure those in the tower that do not posses a access key. If one does not have a key, the pressure is enough to subdue a Kage level ninja, but would kill anyone lower then a kage.' Zasu thought as he began to use his eyes to copy the Seal into his memory 'whoever made this was a genius in fuinjutsu, was it Mito?'

Although intrigued Zasu decided against copying the seal into his memory right away, as it was far to large and would take at least 2 days to fully copy the seal, Let alone understand it. Zasu figured he could do that another time. He wanted to go to the top floor to look at the S rank jutsu. His understanding of how jutsu work was a lot easier for Zasu, As his eyes allowed him to copy the structure of Justus perfectly, and his ability to see how chakra flowed allowed him to master the jutsu at a monstrous rate.

Once he reached the door to the last floor Zasu noticed a Key hole on the door. Taking out his access key, he placed it into the hole and watched as it opened. After he entered the room, Zasu found various shelves filled with scrolls separated by alphabetical order within two sections, one forbidden and the other S rank.

After walking down a particular aisle Zasu stopped and looked at the scroll he had been interested in. 'Well let's get this started, as soon as I master this I should be virtually untouchable' Zasu thought as he opened the scroll marked with the name 'Flying Thunder God'.
