White Zetsu

Despite possessing the audacity to approach the Gedo Statue, Naruto refrained from doing so, mindful of the perilous consequences that could befall him as the Nine Tails Jinchūriki. The thought of being unwittingly drawn into the statue and perishing alone in its grasp weighed heavily on his mind, prompting him to exercise caution.

However, Kurama's retort caught him off guard, prompting a playful exchange between the two. Despite the jesting, Naruto remained steadfast in his intentions, acknowledging the gravity of the situation.

As the conversation turned serious, Naruto revealed a deeper motive behind his actions. He explained the connection between White Zetsu and the Gedo Statue, highlighting the sinister truth that the vast army of White Zetsu lurked beneath the surface.

Realization dawned upon Kurama as he grasped the implications of Naruto's revelation. The presence of the Gedo Statue hinted at the existence of the subterranean White Zetsu army, a chilling reminder of the looming threat they posed.

With newfound purpose, Naruto contemplated the implications of this discovery, recognizing the urgency of addressing the hidden menace lurking beneath their feet. In the face of adversity, he remained resolute, determined to confront the looming shadow cast by the Gedo Statue and its insidious creations.

Naruto hadn't forgotten that in the original plot, the White Zetsu army had reached a staggering number of 100,000. Despite Black Zetsu's deceitful narratives, including the fabrication about White Zetsu being cultured with Hashirama cells, the truth remained elusive.

In this journey, Naruto had two pivotal objectives. Firstly, to seize the opportunity to investigate the Gedo Statue, and secondly, to confront the White Zetsu.

In his grand design, Naruto aimed to resurrect his deceased parents, Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina, without sacrificing himself or Nagato. Enter White Zetsu.

In the intricate web of techniques required for resurrection—the Revolving Heaven Technique coupled with the Impure World Reincarnation Technique—the latter demanded living sacrifices. White Zetsu's contribution was indispensable.

Thus, this opportunity was paramount.

"Perception field.

"Om."

An imperceptible energy emanated from Naruto, spreading outward in a vast circular wave throughout the cavern, extending to an exaggerated radius of one kilometer.

Yet, Naruto's disappointment was palpable as his investigation yielded no sign of the anticipated White Zetsu army. Why were they absent? Where were the 100,000 White Zetsu?

"What's wrong?" Kurama, sensing Naruto's dismay, inquired.

Naruto shared his findings: "There's only one Gedo Statue. Shouldn't it be connected to the roots of the sacred tree, housing the army of 100,000 White Zetsu?"

Recalling that the White Zetsu army was once concealed beneath the ground, Naruto couldn't fathom their absence.

Perhaps, he mused, he had overlooked a crucial detail—the Gedo Statue had been summoned before by Nagato when he fled following Yahiko's death. And Uchiha Madara's original summoning had originated from the seal on the moon.

If the Gedo Statue has housed 100,000 White Zetsu from the beginning, were Madara and Nagato blind to this fact? How did Black Zetsu manage to deceive Madara into believing that White Zetsu was cultivated with Hashirama cells? And how could it claim to be a product of Madara's will?

There's a misunderstanding here. In the original work, Black Zetsu presented a few White Zetsu to Uchiha Madara as representatives, suggesting that more may still be hidden within the Gedo Statue.

Naruto pondered this, as if recalling something forgotten. He looked at the Gedo Statue and cursed, "Damn, could they be hidden within its body? But I can't touch it now. What should I do?"

Returning empty-handed wasn't an appealing prospect. Kurama was at a loss for words. Their meticulously crafted plan had been undermined without any action on their part.

"What if I cut it open or blast it?" Naruto suggested, his eyes flashing red as he activated his Mangekyō Sharingan.

But Kurama quickly intervened, reminding him of the consequences of such a reckless action. "Stop it. If you make a scene, how will you explain it to Black Zetsu? Remember, your ultimate goal is revenge."

Reluctantly, Naruto relented, but his frustration only grew.

"It seems I'll need to find a way to make Black Zetsu release the White Zetsu voluntarily," Naruto began to strategize.

Since he couldn't locate the White Zetsu himself, he would enlist Black Zetsu's help. Even if it meant sacrificing a few White Zetsu, it would be worth it.

Some might question why White Zetsu was necessary. The answer lies in their posthumous merits and the benefits of using the Impure World Reincarnation Technique, which requires a living sacrifice like White Zetsu to grant summoned individuals strength and vitality comparable to their living state.

Ultimately, at least one White Zetsu was indispensable for Naruto's plans, especially in achieving the Rinnegan and the Revolving Heaven technique.
