15 To Konoha

Yugito was standing before the Raikage's office, she was wondering why she was called here so early in the morning.

She had enjoyed a week long break with Sato, this week was packed full of training for both of them.

And Karui was there too, she supposed.

She honestly would have preferred Karui not being there, she always gets in the way during her alone time with her brother.

'Wonder why Raikage sama called me so early in the morning.'

Yugito knocked on the thick oak door.

"Come in."

Almost immediately Raikage's gruff voice called her in.

She didn't have to wait long at all, Raikage was in a hurry.

"Excuse me."

Yugito easily pushed open the heavy door and walked in.

The room was empty, only the Fourth Raikage, his assistant Mabui and his Brother Killer B were present and seemed to be waiting for her.

'So it's not a meeting then.'

Yugito concluded before standing infront of the fourth Raikage, A.

"Yugito."

A spoke in a gruff voice, he was a big man full of muscles which showed immense strength.

He might not be as powerful as the third Raikage but Yugito respected him nonetheless.

He was a great leader to his people and wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice himself for them.

"I have a mission for you."

"It's a continuation of our peace talks with Konoha."

A put his hands on the thick wooden table, this was clearly a table built to take punishment.

A had a bad habit of banging the table whenever their village had some bad news coming in.

And given his incredible physical strength, he breaks quite a few tables throughout the year.

"Peace talks? Is this about the Hyuga affair? Did Konoha make a decision about Hyuga Hiashi's body?"

Yugito raised her eyebrows and asked.

Her inquiring about the mission meant she was ready to take it.

So Raikage wanted to go ahead and give her the information.

But Killer B managed to beat him to it.

With a smirk on his face he made two handsigns, not for jutsu but for rap.

Initiating his iconic way of speech.

"In Konoha's shade they hide their shame! Handed Hiashi's body, what a blameless game~"

"This fool, this guy they won't face the truth, Their cowardice shows in the eyes of youth!"

"Yeah!"

Yugito hesitatingly nodded with sweat coming off her forehead, she managed to get the jist of it at least.

'I remember, this is why I avoided contact with him.'

Yugito groaned in her mind, thinking she has to ask him about perfect jinchuriki sooner or later.

But Killer B didn't know what was going on in her mind, he grinned and kept talking in his own style.

After all he had just written these raps precisely for this occasion.

"Bakayaro! Konoyaro! Let's call it out loud, Konoha's actions beneath a dark cloud."

"Konoha and Cloud, two lands so grand, Seeking peace together, hand in hand!"

Yugito Nii put her hand on her forehead, this was such a messy way to get mission information.

She had to decode it right from the source?

"So they are ready to make peace talks with us after handing over the Hyuga head's body?"

Still, Yugito wasn't a seasoned jonin for nothing, she understood what killer B meant.

Before the happy Killer B could continue and make Yugito decode the mission information again, A took over.

"B! That's enough!"

"Yugito, you will be going to Konoha as our spokesperson this time."

"We risked a lot for the Hyuga head's body, Daiksuke died for us to get this chance, we cannot make a mistake."

A spoke grimly, he wasn't sure if Konoha was pretending to ask for peace talks and had other intentions behind their back.

So he decided to send a jinchuriki directly into the enemy village.

With Yugito Nii around they wouldn't dare to have any aggressive thoughts.

"So it's true? Are they really ready to hand over the Hyuga head's body?"

"How can a hidden village kill one of their clan heads? There has to be something fishy about this."

Yugito asked with a frown, this was a concern A shared as well.

And so did killer B, apparently.

"Remember my friend in this intricate game."

"Truth and deception they're not quite the same."

B said with his eyes shadowed and an air of seriousness around him.

A nodded heavily as well, this time he was agreeing with Killer B.

"That's why I am sending you out Yugito."

"There is a great chance this is some kind of trap, even if we don't know what it is, we have to guard against it."

A clenched his fist with determination while looking at Yugito Nii.

"But one thing is certain, Konoha dosen't dare to attack us."

"If they had the guts there would be no discussions about killing one of their own, especially when we clearly framed them."

"More importantly, If they really attacked us, they will be blamed for killing two peace envoys back to back."

"Konoha's reputation would go down the drain, no one would make peace talks with them."

"They simply can't afford to hurt us."

Yugito narrowed her eyes, she understood where this was going.

"So your mission is to find out what their plan is, do whatever it takes to find out."

"You have my full permission to kill as you see fit, they don't dare to lay a finger on you."

"But try to avoid going that far, our village can't handle another prolonged war either."

The air was heavy in the Raikage's office.

Yugito had a frown on her face, she knew this was a difficult task, she will be going in knowing there was a scheme.

It's not that she was worried about her safety, it's true that Konoha can't attack cloud, especially with her around.

The Hyuga incident itself happened because Konoha killed a cloud ninja coming for peace talks.

If they once again kill a cloud Shinobi coming for peace talks, no one would make peace with them.

Konoha being called a village that kills all envoys of peace is very bad news for the decaying Konoha.

'They not only won't attack us, they also have to protect our team in case one of us dies and the blame is shifted on their head.'

Yugito shook her head with a smile, Konoha's actions made her feel it's a decaying old tree.

But she didn't dwell on it, now that she knew the mission was extremely safe yet very important for the village, she had a plan in mind.

She just needed the Raikage's permission, her request was a bit personal.

"Raikage sama, can I take my brother Sato with me on this mission?"

"He won't make any trouble, I promise."

The heavy air around the Raikage's office immediately changed to an awkward one.

Mabui froze in place, Raikage was so shocked his eyes bulged and Killer B forgot to think of a rap for this situation.

Did they hear this right, and was that Yugito Nii blushing with embarrassment??

Wait a second, wasn't her brother like 4 years old!

What's going on here, were they under a genjutsu?
