19 Izakaya

The next day Sato, Yugito and C left for Konoha.

Sato was being carried around by Yugito, he didn't know body flicker yet, he simply didn't have enough chakra to cast the Ninjutsu.

Although this journey was definitely making him wish he had something like the flying thunder god right about now.

'I wonder when we will reach Konoha.'

Sato thought with boredom.

This journey was very long.

They had to move at supersonic speeds using body flicker the entire time, just to reach the land of fire.

'The distance between land of fire and the land of lightning is way too large..'

The world of Naruto was a great big continent divided into seperate countries.

Ninja village's like Konoha and Hidden cloud were the size of cities in these giant countries.

'If it wasn't for body flicker, even cross communication between countries would be a problem.'

'The story dosen't do justice to the sheer scale of this world.'

The scariest thing is, this world used to have another massive landmass, a different continent which was lost after a battle 1000 years ago.

This was the battle which created seperate regions in the present continent, the previous continent however was crushed and thrown into space.

This thrown landmass is what we now know as the moon.

'So many humans, animals and plant species driven to extinction just to make a moon.'

'These godlike creatures care so little about the world around them it's not even funny.'

Sato thought absentmindedly.

He knew Hagoromo, the sage of six paths was the one responsible for the creation of this moon.

In the sage's own words it was all for peace~

'Let him tell that to the dead half of this planet.'

'I am sure everyone would praise him for triggering a mass extinction event.'

Sato thought sarcastically.

But he knew nobody had the guts to say that to the sage's face.

The sage was the victor of the battle 1000 years ago, whatever his version of the story was, that automatically became the truth.

*Swish*

Just when he was thinking about the world's history, their group came to a sudden stop, making Sato blink his eyes and adjust himself.

"What happened?"

Asked Sato from Yugito's shoulders.

Yugito simply grabbed him from above then gently put him down.

"We will take a break here."

Yugito said with narrowed eyes, which made Sato become suspicious and stare around as well.

"This isn't the architecture of land of lightning, the amount of people walking around is quite large too."

"And this temperature difference."

"Did we arrive in the land of fire?"

Sato questioned with his eyebrows raised, too many things were different compared to the land of lightning, this had to a different region.

"That's right little guy."

C rubbed Sato's head with a smile, he was impressed, he could see that Sato had quickly put the clues together.

This was an important skill for a ninja but not many ninjas really had it.

"Mr C, you are calling me a little guy but you are just 13 yourself."

Sato complained with a fake glare, when he had seen C before, the guy looked like a young adult.

It turns out he was just 13 this year.

Although it wasn't hard to understand how this was possible, when Itachi massacred the Uchiha clan, he also looked like a young adult, but he was only 13.

When Kimimaro destroyed Gaara and Lee, he was just 15 yet he looked like a grown man in his mid twenties.

This world had people who grow up way before they should, C was one of those people.

"Hey! It's because I am young and not as strong that I was selected as a peace messenger."

"I have status but not strength, this is what is they need in a messenger of peace you know."

C rubbed Sato's head even harder, but soon let go when he felt Yugito stare at him from behind.

He could play around with Sato like a big brother but Yugito was out of his consideration.

She wasn't someone he could joke around with.

"Ignore that guy Sato, we are going to wait here for a while, as a show of non aggression."

"Someone from Konoha will pick us up and take us to the village."

"They should be coming soon."

Yugito explained while looking around.

Theoretically Konoha ninja's should already be here, they knew cloud Shinobi were coming today.

But they weren't going to show up before checking everything around them.

This was the non aggression part of the deal, Konoha was currently confirming that cloud Shinobi didn't bring an army with them.

"How long do we wait then?"

Sato questioned while looking around himself.

The place they had stopped at had an izakaya down the road.

No other waiting area was available around here

To be fair, that was a very expensive looking izakaya, he wouldn't mind spending some time there.

"Let's wait here, Konoha will come for us pretty soon."

"I can already smell them circling around here."

But Yugito denied his idea.

Her nose twitched in response to the smell she was capturing, this got C's attention as well and he became much more serious.

Sato shrugged, no harm done, he wanted to see inside this word's izakaya once, but that'll just have to wait.

*Bang!*

Or not.

The trio's heads snapped towards the izakaya, it's door was suddenly blasted away from it's hinges.

Following which a four year old girl ran out with her mother.

"Wait! Wait for me!"

Weirdly, it was the mother who was chasing after her daughter in fear.

The daughter herself was frantically running away, somehow the clothes which were too big for her body didn't seem to be a problem for her.

"Those two are weird."

Sato muttered, Yugito and C meanwhile were frowning while carefully watching the duo make their escape.

Well, duo might be the wrong word, there were three of them, the little girl, the mother and their pet, a small pig.

"Hey! Get back here!"

"You owe us money! You can't run!"

Soon a bunch of strong looking men ran out from the izakaya.

They started chasing the trio, who were desperately running away.

It's just they happened to run towards the direction where Sato, Yugito and C were standing in.

"Let's get out of the way."

Yugito said with disgust in her voice, this kind of thing can never happen in the land of lightning.

Land of fire's public security was too bad.

Yugito simply picked Sato up and flashed to the side with C.

Both C and Yugito wanted nothing to do with these thieves.

But Sato's eyes were glued directly on the four year old girl and her supposed mother.

'That little girl.'

'She Tsunade right..?'
