Several hours had passed since the moment Ryo had acquired the new coin. He hadn't tested the new coin yet, but that could wait. After taking a shower and leaving his grandmother's house, he went straight to the hospital to undergo some simple procedures to see how his body was doing.
Upon entering the hospital, he requested an examination room, which was something he often did there since he was always around to study new things. After being assigned an examination room, Ryo went in, closing and locking the door behind him.
"I have some things to check. I don't think I'll get much results, but doing this in a controlled environment is better than at home." Saying this, he made a hand seal, and a shadow clone appeared. Ryo then sat down in a chair, extending his arm forward. The clone didn't need directions since it had been created after Ryo had already formulated the plan in his mind.
"I'll start the extraction now," the clone said, holding a syringe and beginning to collect a blood sample from Ryo, then analyzing it under a magnifying lens. Unfortunately, the lens wasn't as good as modern-world equipment, but it could still enlarge the image to a decent size.
"The blood shows the presence of the mysterious metal indeed. I can't tell how intertwined it is with the blood since the lens doesn't amplify enough to clearly see the blood cells, but by estimation, the presence of golden particles accounts for 42% of the entire blood sample."
Ryo listened to this and nodded in acknowledgment. "So my blood has changed by approximately this much in my body as well. Alright. I don't have any idea what to think about this yet, or about the effects, but continue to the next phase."
He was a bit tense about the second part of the self-examination since it would significantly hurt him. The clone then tied Ryo's right arm and hand to the table so he wouldn't move, and proceeded to clean a part of his arm with alcohol and other products to prevent any infection in the incision that would be made.
"You can begin," Ryo said, gritting his teeth. The clone then, with a scalpel in hand, made an incision in the clean area of Ryo's arm, assisted by some cotton pads to stop the bleeding. It was a sharp pain in the small cut made.
But the worst part was yet to come. The clone's mission now was to check Ryo's bone, and see its condition. After a few minutes of cleaning the area and removing the blood, the clone managed to see Ryo's bone through the small incision; the white bone was visible, but not really white.
"There are... There are golden pigments in the bone too. And in an area very similar to the amount shown in the blood." Ryo listened to his clone saying this and then let out a sigh. "Close the wound, and then you can disappear." After a few minutes, the wound was perfectly healed, and the clone vanished, with Ryo receiving the memories and vision of the clone.
"42% of my blood and bones are showing a transformation. Considering there are 7 coins, this would be approximately 14% per coin. I already have three; I don't have much doubt that my body is changing due to contact with the coins."
However, even though this could give him an advantage, providing him with more bodily resistance and resilience, it still wasn't something that made Ryo very happy since it reminded him of the gods of the world, who resided in the bodies of receptacles and then took over the body.
"So the time between controlling one coin and another is the time my body takes to adapt to the changes? It would be a theory, but what if I don't absorb the last coin or stop now? Still, the power I gain is quite significant. Speaking of power." He looked at the three coins; he couldn't deny that he was already curious to know what the new one did.
After analyzing his body and seeing that everything was still fine despite all the changes, Ryo left the hospital and flickered to the training ground. After a few minutes, he arrived at the location. Three golden coins floated in front of him.
Ryo picked up the new coin while looking at it; there was nothing special about it apparently, but he felt like he could store chakra in the coin as soon as he touched it. "Store chakra?" He then began to infuse chakra into the coin, and after a few seconds, he had stored 40% of his total chakra, feeling that the coin no longer accepted more chakra.
"So I can store chakra in it, and then retrieve it later?" Ryo set the new coin aside and began his training as usual. Since he had little chakra, he didn't train many jutsus. After about an hour passed, he sat down on the ground, leaning against a tree. Ryo had 20% of his total chakra left.
He took the coin with stored chakra and then mentally commanded it to return the chakra to him. And as it was done, the coin rested on his hand like an adhesive, sticking to it. Along with this, he could feel the chakra entering his body again, restoring what he had stored. A smile spread across Ryo's face.
"None of the abilities I gained from the two coins are offensive, but they are still two incredibly useful abilities. Especially being able to store chakra to use later. This will allow me to use 140% of my chakra instead of 100%. This will help me in any situation."
Ryo's new ability, along with his semi-golden body, was something the boy knew would be necessary for the future, as eventually power scales would skyrocket. And Ryo would be ready for it.
Looking at a small calendar he had, he could see that there were a few days left until the exam. Something that seemed like it would never come was just a few days away. And after that, he had to talk to Hiruzen about successfully controlling the third coin. And also ask once again about Tsunade teaching him.
