Chapter 2: Exploration Of Future Options

(General POV)

Aikaga steps into the library with a calm and happy facade as he approaches the main desk where an elderly old lady smiles at him.

"Is there anything you need young man? We have a plentiful collection of information about anything you could want."

"Um...My homeroom teacher said that I could learn non-elemental jutsu here? Could you please let me have the chance to read some scrolls? I know that the school day has ended but I promise I'll be quick."

The old lady chuckles before passing 4 scrolls to Aikaga from one of her file cabinets.

"Don't worry young man you can come at any time after school to learn, Konohagakure is a family that shares and helps others. Such a small thing like this isn't important. You can take these home just don't forget to bring them back."

Aikaga puts on a slightly surprised face being splitting a grateful and warm grin and bowing to the kind old librarian.

"Thank you miss I'll be sure to return the scrolls once I'm done."

He walks out of the library after waving goodbye and he finds a random tourist map detailing the places in the village.

'So my apartment should be right here. That old lady was very kind but I don't trust for a second that all of that was out of the kindness of her heart. In our conversation she specifically said what Konohagakure values in it's people and what is expected of them to do. Quite an effective way of gaining loyal shinobi who will die for the village without being seen as morally evil or even morally questionable. Reminds me of all the dark undertones in the series that implied that the 3rd hokage was an horrible person and an incompetent leader. Really funny how all of those undertones were created from complete accidents. But regardless of whether Hiruzen is an evil person isn't important, if there's one thing I do know about him is that he is a bad leader who will throw his ally's under the bus when pressure from the other great nations arises. The Uzumaki village was destroyed due to his inaction and weakness, Sakumo died due to Danzo repeatedly slamming his mental health until he cracked and killed himself again due to his in action and weakness to realize what was happening, the death of Neji's father was also his fault as he didn't even stand up to defend his own shinobi when they were being targeted, the death of the entire Uchiha clan was also almost completely his fault as he gave too much political power to Danzo, the discrimination against Naruto when he was just a child is also partially his fault as he couldn't stop Danzo from spreading rumors and he couldn't contain the rumors and when the poor kid was starving parental assistance he never bothered to care. Hiruzen is a puppet to the council despite being the sole ruler of Konohagakure, ironically he was the one who limited his own power. I despise people like Hiruzen.'

'I need to be extremely careful in the way I approach the higher ups once I get stronger, for now I am safe as I will only show my skill level to be the 3rd best in class but eventually I do plan to reveal myself gradually and when that time comes I shouldn't side with Hiruzen nor Danzo. Hiruzen is a weak old man who willing will sacrifice his ally's to keep his enemies happy and Danzo will directly make me a slave. I need to find a political opponent that can go against Danzo but be friendly with Hiruzen and be strong enough so that Hiruzen can't simply use them as a bargaining tool without major repercussions that would outweigh the benefits. The only people I can think of currently that could fit these categories are Minato, Jiraiya, Orochimaru, Fugaku and Shikaku.'

Unfortunately Minato, Orochimaru and Fugaku are all temporary options, I do want Minato dead so that the 4th Great Shinobi War actually happens, I don't think I can stop Orochimaru from experimenting on humans so he's definitely getting stomped and Fugaku is the worst choice out of the entire list and he's definitely dying later so the only other options are Jiraiya and Shikaku. Well...That's not true is it? If I get strong connections with multiple clans then I can't be replaced. Either that or I join Root once I have a mastery over seals or Anbu after I get an escape option in case Hiruzen decides my death is necessary for the 'safety' of the village.'

'Hah, that's very far from now currently I just need to learn the 3 basic jutsu and master them to the best of my ability, master chakra control to the max I can. Gain mastery over at least of the the 5 elements, but first I need to find out my natural affinities.'

Aikaga enters his apartment with his 4 scrolls in hand and he spends the next few hours reading and meditating to control his chakra.

He sits down on a mat in his living room with chakra rampaging through his chakra pathways as he makes multiple handseals.

'Henge no Jutsu.'

Aikaga transforms into a much small body, he grows wings, a beak and feathers. With a strong flap of his wings he lifts off from the ground.

'So I was right, I can use the transformation jutsu to transform into anything, when using this jutsu you physically change your body, it isn't an illusion it's an actual physical change. This means that as long as I have chakra and I master this jutsu I can pass off as anyone and anything. With this information in mind I can abuse this jutsu to my advantage for many things, infiltration, stealing jutsu, getting a sharingan and much much more.'

'Once I do find out what my chakra affinity is I'll steal a sharingan from a random Uchiha genin. While it is risky it's also the only option for me to get higher ranked jutsu without alerting anyone that I have access to them. Using the transformation jutsu to disguise myself as a bird allows me to pass the borders of the village, gain information on who my target to get a sharingan should be, and observe people fighting to learn different taijutsu styles. But in order to get access to a sharingan I also need to learn how to implant eyeballs so I need to infiltrate the village hospital and get some files.'

Aikaga flies around in his bird form getting a good feel for flying and evading obstacles.
