8 Chapter-8: Slaughter of Tani (3)
After planting the packets quickly, both ninjas escaped quickly and they witnessed explosions.
Giant explosions.
The reason for this?
The places wherever the bombs were blasted would now naturally turn into battlefield as some ninjas will be sent to inquire who caused such a massive explosion, instigating many fights.
Also, these were the primary routes where any clan would invade the valley as this village was covered with a maze-like forest, which would exhaust the troops due to it's wild structuring and a giant repertoire of dangerous animals which may further interrupt the plans due to time constraints.
Most genins and chunins level ninjas would now waste the time in the forest as the main routes will turn into battle hotspots for jonins.
A clever strategy that will increase the ninjas sent to the battlefield because of the uneven troop density and information transferred will be less, exploiting the communication gap between the troops and the clan.
Just as this was started, Ichi and Ni quietly escaped, not encountering anyone on their way, back to the clan headquarters in a few hours.
""The mission is completed, Junichiro-sama."" They said in unison.
"Good work. Rest for now. I will visit the battle room now." He said as he stopped writing in a book and went to the battle room, wearing the traditional dress he wore nearly everyday.

(MC POV)
Now that bomb planting was done, I just need to give a little tip to the clan leader about it.
Both Senju and Uchiha clans will be shaved off a lot from this.
"Father. I have an important news." I said as I saw him drowning in the scrolls filled with information along with other commanders.
"Speak." He said as he looked up.
"I've got a tip just now. Some explosions have occurred on entrances of the valley. It seems like a challenge, if anything. The explosions were massive and are believed to be made with blue fire powder. It may be something to intimidate us or trap us." I said.
"Hmmm. It probably is something I expected but not this early on in the battle. I think we should send in a few troops at these places to check but it may be trap..." he said as he started discussing this.
"Be careful, Father. How I see it is basically Kumanoi clan wants to instigate fights like we are doing. It may be a beacon call to all 3 great clan fighting right now and we might just be getting attracted to it like flies. I will take my leave now." I said as I left the room.
As I left, I saw him thinking about it.
Now...
We wait.

(3rd POV)
As Junichiro Hyuga left, the clan quickly mobilized more troops and edited them for recon and sent them to these hotspots with the information to not engage until necessary, wiping off low level ninjas if situation allows.
The units quickly travelled to the given locations and observed a chaotic battlefield on the hotspots and low level ninjas venturing in the forest to enter the valley of Tani.
The recon unit was able to engage most low level ninja squads, annihilating them while suffering minimal losses.
The Uchiha and Senju squads were wiped out en masse and the reports for the following was devastating to both the clans and the surviving jonins.
Most fathers had lost their sons and now were returning to the clan with the horrifying news.
Both the clans were in a very big predicament now.
The expected losses were far too much.
To some, it was encouraging them to end it all and to the others, it was sign to sign a peace treaty of a while.
Anything in between just didn't cover the losses properly and it would also cause both the leaders no benefit from this and many be overthrown by more radical figures in the clan.
Not all clans had severe grip on the political situations like the Hyugas. They had to deal with actual opinions.
At last after wasting troops for a good 4 days, the two rabid dogs finally cooled off and pushed for a peaceful meeting along with the Hyuga clan to arrive at a conclusion.
Hyuga clan was given the rights of organization because of the initiative they took for a peaceful agreement which was pushed forward by Junichiro Hyuga.
However, the one who proposed this peaceful agenda had very different intentions.
The meeting was rigged from the very start.

(The day of meeting)
All the clans brought in their leaders, their aids and the future leaders along with 2 ninjas to guard them.
"As we proceed with the meeting under the Hyuga clan, we will start peaceful meeting between the Hyuga, the Senju and the Uchiha. Please start the meeting." A ninja said as he left the meeting.
"The Uchiha clan is finally out to talk eh?" Butsuma said as he poured in fire despite not having the chakra affinity for it.
"Of course we are. Unlike the Senju clan, we are able to hold intelligent conversations." Tajima said as he sat down holding a neutral face.
"Now let's not start off with such negativity. This talk demands order, let us all acknowledge that." Michikatsu said with a straight face.
"Uchiha clan will now allow you to humiliate us like this. We all know that this meeting is more or less-" Izuna said but was cut off by Hyuga clan's future leader.
"Is that so? If anything Uchiha clan's actions are disrespectful as they MoRe or LeSs invaded Hyuga clan's occupied territory." Junichiro said.
"That is correct. Moreover, this fight was completely taken away from the original battlefield by the Uchiha clan but at the same time I may ask what were Hyuga clan's main family and army doing in it's rather undeveloped territory?" Tobirama said as he glanced sharply at Madara who was still very shocked that his dear friend Hashirama was from Senju clan, going through an emotional turmoil.
Yet he kept all of that inside.
"I feel that this matter shan't be something that should be relevant with the meeting. We were on a vacation, tired from all the battles and worldly conflicts, gifting ourselves with a moment of peace by visiting one of our territories." Junichiro answered in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Is that so?" Uchiha patriarch said as he glanced at Junichiro Hyuga.
"Of course. If we wanted to fight then we wouldn't be defending ourselves from both the clans and instead be more straight forward." Michikatsu Hyuga said without even bothering to look at Tajima Uchiha.
The political pressure and tension was very high in the hall and every moment looked like a war was about to resume right here and now.
"Well now that we are done with that, I'd like to start off somewhere else. It seems Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha have something to tell us, considering they are sweating off buckets when looking at each other." Junichiro said as he diverted the attention of the whole meeting towards them.
Tajima Uchiha thought it was just a wild play but when he looked back he saw Madara had his eyesight on the ground as if trying to control the rage and pain of losing a family member.
Same thing happened with Butsuma Senju and Hashirama Senju.
The current status they held was very suspicious.
Both of them were completely ignored because till now they were able to control their facial expressions very well but now the attention was on them.
"We actually met on a riverside a few months back and were frien-" Madara tried explaining but was cut off.
"YOU WHAT?!" Izuna screamed while Tajima just kept on glaring at him, silencing him with a glance.
Butsuma, Tobirama and Hashirama had a similar reaction as well.
"Oh...It seems that both clan had a treaty going on already. Mind explaining what was going on with the fights then if the peace treaty between future clan leaders was already decided?" Michikatsu Hyuga said with a booming tone.
The notion that both clan attacked Hyuga clan for no reason and also organized a meeting through them was beyond enraging to Michikatsu Hyuga. This was a sign that an inevitable war was coming.
A war that would claim lives of many.
"It seems that both clans were plotting something this sinister-" Junichiro tried to say but was cut off by Hashirama this time.
"It was nothing like such. We just fought for a while. I obviously won." He said without looking at Madara, who looked offended.
"You never won. You just retreated after a fireball jutsu was done in your direction. That is called escaping like a coward." He said while folding his hands.
"I pitied you and just left. If I knew who you were then I would've thought twice." Hashirama said in a desperate tone but alas Madara was too stuck up and his hyper competitiveness fogged his judgement.
"Nope. Never happened. You clearly ran away. Whoever runs away is the loser on the battlefield. It 100% victory." He said as he glanced at Hashirama who was finally trying to signal him to shut the f*ck up but it was too late.
"It seems they were not friends but just enemies who didn't know each other. Perhaps clan leaders should take better care of them in future. If we are able to arrive at a peaceful treaty then everyone will benefit from it. Will we not?" Junichiro Hyuga said with a smile, lightening the tension in the hall.
Everyone went on with some talking here and there as the tension was slowly got diffused.
While Butsuma and Tajima were still glaring daggers at their own sons and each other, they could now at least tolerate each other.
After a few hours of talking, the peace talks were concluded.
For next 5 years, an armistice was signed between Hyuga, Uchiha and Senju clan to not attack each other.
The penalty for breaking it would incur wrath of both the clans.
A giant war prevented.
"It seems I don't need to do anything for a while..." a black gooey man slowly chuckled as he sank into the ground.

Tani is actually a place on map of elemental nations and was foundation of Tanigakure.
