Escape

Alex POV:

It was truly a surprising discovery for me. If it was really Naruto world, then it was pretty east to guess the time line in which I am.

Karin and her mother were taken in as prisoners and would flee to Kusagakure where both will get trapped by the greedy villagers and end up helping them in return for letting them stay. As a result, Karin's mother, Kiko-san will end up dead and Karin will get together with Orochimaru until she falls for Sasuke and tags along him.

Well, then judging by the situation, it should be just after the third Shinobi War and also, the Nine Tails massacare must have happened by now.

And if my guess is correct, the Uchiha massacre is just around the corner.

To be honest, I do want to interfere and not let the Uchiha's die but my power is not simply insignificant in the scheme of things.

But I don't understand one thing, just who is Akemi then? As far as I know, there was no one by that name in the anime… or is it because of my interference that it has lead to a butterfly effect?

Anyways, most important task must be given a priority, I have to escape from here and find a village to settle in and practice the ways of Shinobi.

Only if I become powerful in this world, can I have the liberty to do as I please. Or else, I will die before I can see the face of my enemy. Easy to say but difficult to carry out.

And well, if I remember correctly, then Tsunade is still single. Hehe, must hold down the virgin goddess in my arms, since I am here, right.

Tsunade POV:

"Achoo! Damn, that Jiraiya bastard is having pervert thoughts about me, once again. Must punch him in the face when we meet."

"Tsunade-sama, you got cold. Please rest for the night while I prepare some hot soup for you," said fair skinned woman with onyx eyes. Her jet black hair were straight and shoulder length with bangs that covered her ears and frame her face.

"It's fine, Shizune. Today, I have an important meeting to attend."

"Tsunade-sama, what important meeting are you talking about? Is going to gambling house that important to you?"

"Shizune, keep you mouth shut. The meeting I have is of very high significance. If I make the deal happen, we will get rich and then, hehe…" I could not help but grin thinking about how much wine could I purchase once I win the gamble.

Those suckers are so damn good that I have almost lost my entire life savings to them. But it can't go on forever. I will make them repent on having me as an opponent.

This Shizune always tries to block me in my undertakings. I just don't know whether she thinks she has the right to boss me around.

Girl… if you want to boss me around… then at least have a bigger chest then me, hehe.

Alex POV:

It has been two days since Kiko-san told me about the escape plan. She wanted to reach the top of the mountain and then, at her signal flee from the camp around night.

Night, was the specific time, when the Boss of the bandit group took a random teenage girl into his tent and all we could hear were female cries for more than a couple of hours before everything quiets down.

I don't want to know what happens to the girl inside but the cries haunt me and my angers skyrockets. I have to remind myself of the power gap between me and the bandits before my heart begins to calm down just a bit.

If possible, I want help all of the prisoners and kill this dirty group along with their leader but I bury my thought deep down and try to get some night sleep whatsoever.

[Next Morning]

Alex had his meal and made eye contact with Kiko-san and the latter nodded and left for a quiet space waiting for his arrival. He wanted to confirm once again before he left and quickly went ahead in the direction of Kiko.

"Tonight?"

"Yes. After the Boss takes the girl and all the bandits are drunk, I will come over and remove the handcuffs. As for distracting the bandits, I have done some preparations and it would be more than enough."

"Okay. Ah! Don't forget my friend, Taki. He too… if you could free him too?"

She seemed to hesitate and I could not help but ask her why.

"It's just that I feel her is deep down, he might have a dark heart. You sure, you want to help him?"

I mused at her reply. Taki-san, though at times could be misunderstood, still he had helped me when I got over here. So why not help him and replay the favor.

"Yes, I want to help him. He was the only one who helped me and I can't turn my back against him."

"I hope that I had misunderstood him but speaking from my experience, that never has happened. Still, I will help him too. But still, you better guard against him, in case."

She finished and rolled off to the side where her daughter seem to chat with each other.

I am really in wonder whether what she spoke was true? Taki had been helping me from the start and he surely had no ulterior motive, at least I thought so. But what if…

[At Night]

As usual, the Boss took around one of the pretty flower from the prison next to us. It worked like this that everyday, one girl from a prison would have to be handed over to him and after he is finished, his underlings could take a shot each.

It was cruel and merciless but such was the world in which I have arrived.

It has been half and hour and the female voice rang out pretty loud across the skies. The group of bandits, as usual, had a wine - I think Sake, to not try and ignore the loud female cry.

Just then, a fire caught everyone's attention.

The prison #6, that was located on the opposite direction to us, was caught on fire. The bandits seemed to notice and in a hurry began to take the prisoners out of the fire.

"Raise you hands, so that I can untie your handcuffs," a sweet female voice landed in my ears and raised my hands recognizing the owner of the voice. It was Karin.

"Here," after unlocking my handcuffs, she handed over the key to me, "Unlock you friend and follow us. Hurry."

I immediately moved over to where Taki was. Unlocked his handcuffs and pulled him alongside.

"Hey! Please help me too. I also want to free myself."

"Yeah, me too. Please."

"I want to see my family. I want to see my children. Please help me!"

Once I unlocked Taki-san, all the other prisoners looked at me with a hope burning in their eyes. I wanted to help them, I wanted to free them but someone pulled my hand and led me towards the exit.

"Taki-san, what are you doing?"

"Oh come on, if we waste our time, unlocking them then, the bandits will return and we will lose our chance to escape. Let them rot here and hurry up."

I wanted to rebut but I realized my power was not something that I could depend on. And ultimately, followed Taki-san and headed towards the exit and met with Kiko, Karin and Akemi.

"Good, I know a place where we can hide and take shelter for some time. Follow me."

Both Karin and Akemi followed Kiko as the trio went downhill. I looked over at Taki, we nodded and followed the girls.
