38 Chapter-38 : New Mission
Hiro stood in front of the Tsunade as he listened to what she was saying carefully.
"As you would already know, the Terrorist organization, Akatsuki, are on the rise"
"Through our sources, we have come to know that they are planning an attack on the new selected Kazekage of Suna"
Guy, who was standing right beside Hiro, let out a displeased grunt as Tsunade continued her speech.
"We don't know when they are going to do so but keeping in mind the current political strife in Suna, we suspect it would be during the upcoming Chunin exams"
"But keep in mind, the Akatsuki as not after Gaara himself, they are after the One Tailed beast"
Hiro nodded as he remembered that day when he had to run away for his dear life as the one tails demolished a part of Konoha.
"Since the goals of Suna rebels and Akatsuki match somewhat, you can expect a collaboration in between the both of them"
"I'm forming this team in regards with the treaty between Suna and Konoha, your objective is to protect Gaara and find traces of Akatsuki, Is that understood?" Tsunade said in a stiff voice as the three of them replied simultaneously.
"Hai"
"Good, any questions?" Tsunade said, looking at the three of them.
"Yes" Hiro said while raising his hands.
Tsunade, narrowed her eyed as she looked at the newest member of her faction, Hiro.
His aura had became even more refined and a dangerous air surrounded him.
It won't be visible to most people, only the ones that had experienced battles and thousands of opponents their entire lives would be able to tell it, people as old and strong as her.
'Just what are you?' She thought, she had rarely seen someone advance their strength so fast, last time he saw someone do it, he became the 4th Hokage.
"Who are we allowed to engage with, is it just only the Akatsuki or the ones from the rebels too?" Hiro asked as he wanted to be clear regarding his mission objective.
"Good question, you are only allowed to engage if the assailant is Akatsuki, let them deal with their problem, ours is only the Akatsuki, but the problem is we don't know who else in Suna is a part of Akatsuki, as such, act as deterrence and try to minimize the chance of a confrontation". Tsunade finished her talk and took out a few files and handed one to Hiro, Guy and Kurenai each.
"These contain classified information about suspects and possible adversaries, burn them after you've read them" Tsunade said as the three of them nodded and did exactly what she said, burning the file as they read through it.
"Good, your mission will start in 5 days from now, disperse" Tsunade gave the order and the three of them left.
Hiro, continued thinking and tried to remember as much as he could about this arc.
If he remembered correctly, there was no attack from the Akatsuki during this chunin exam, instead, it was the Suna rebels that caused the commotion this time.
Still, Hiro couldn't be a 100% sure as he knew this world was much different from the one he had experienced on 2D screens.
He then looked to his side where Guy was as he held some asurity.
Guy was the best companion for a mission like this where S ranks and possibly Kage rank shinobi's could be involved.
Guy in himself was a Kage rank shinobi, albeit it wasn't known to anyone. But Hiro was sure of it. From what he had learned from Shira, he could easily say that once a Taijutsu master of Guy's caliber opens the 7th gate, his strength would be enough to beat any average Kage level shinobi to a pulp, only High Kage level strength would pose a great opposition to him.
On the other hand, Hiro could not make sense of sending Kurenai along with them to a High profile mission like this.
Although she was strong to say, she wasn't nowhere the level required for a mission of this nature.
'Whatever, It will just give me more time with her' Hiro thought as he patted Guy on the back and said "So, how is everything going, Guy-san?"
"Absolutely fine, Hiro, how are you doing, you look more healthier than last time, how about a spar?" Guy said with his signature toothy smile while giving a thumbs up to Hiro.
"Thank you for the offer, but it seems I'll have to leave early today, may be next time" Hiro said as he denied Guy's request for a spar.
Although Hiro wanted to experience fighting a Taijutsu master other than Shira, he refrained from it.
His Taijutsu was one of his trump cards.
He wanted people to think of him as a completely ranged fighter, and when they finally go through that first layer to face him up close, Hiro could take them by surprise and annihilate them there.
"Well, thats a bummer, even so, how is your training going?" Guy asked him.
During his early days of being a standby instructor , Hiro had asked Guy to teach him a few things, it was a time when Shira himself wasn't that strong.
"Its good, even though I can't do it as much as you, strength training is coming a long way thanks to your help" Hiro said as he reached into his pocket and took out a sealing scroll.
He handed the sealing scroll over to Guy as he said "These are my old gauntlets and arm braces, I had no use for them, they aren't actually that old, its just that I got a new pair in the last month and thought someone like Lee might be able to make good use of them"
"Consider this a gift for Lee, he has been one of my best students overall" Hiro completed as Guy looked at the sealing scroll and unsealed the items inside.
Guy's eyes instantly widened as he saw the equipment, they were almost equal to the ones he himself wore. These were easily A grade items as he looked Hiro's face once again "Hiro.... these are too....."
But before he could complete, he was Interrupted by Hiro who said "Guy-san, I know what you're going to say but these are of no use to me now, these are better used by a Taijutsu specialist like Lee, consider it an investment for Lee's future, I too was at one point his teacher after all"
Hiro was genuinely impressed by Lee, the boy was extremely hardworking and followed Hiro's each and every order.
He was also one of his favorite characters in the show that achieved everything they had through sheer hard work, as such, Hiro wanted pass on his older set of hand equipment to him.
The gauntlets were made of expensive chakra beast leather and hardened chakra steel, the braces on the other hand were made up of extremely tough Dura-steel, capable of blocking bladed attacks from a Jonin easily.
Though they were expensive, Hiro had no qualms with giving them away, he was already a billionaire in this world.
As Guy heard Hiro, he instantly bowed in front of him while cupping has hands "I Don't know how to thank you enough Hiro, just tell me the next time you need something done, I will be there for you"
As Hiro heard guy saying that, his eyed lit up, such a promise from a ninja of Guy's level meant a lot, if he played his cards right, he could use this opportunity to a great advantage.
"No need to bow down in from of me Guy san, its quite awkward, you're my senior after all" Hiro said as he tried to get get things back to normal.
"As a thanks for your incredible support, Lee and I will run around Konoha a hundred times while carrying 5 tons of weights" Guy said with a fire in his eyes and determination in his voice as he zoomed off at an astonishing speed and disappeared within seconds.
Hiro, who was used to Guy's antics, shook his head a bit as he looked towards Kurenai who was smiling while looking at him as he straightened himself up.
"You really do love our students as your own, don't you?" She said as he looked at Hiro tenderly.
Hiro just nodded at her words with a smile as he thought 'If only you knew'
