4 Mission Numero Uno

Nobita was feeling confident about his new stats, despite his lack of experience on the battlefield. In fact, he had never killed anyone so he was a complete greenhorn shinobi. Since it would be his first mission, he would receive it directly from the Hokage.

Nobita walked to the Hokage's residence, and showed his identification to the guards before they let him in. After waiting until the Hokage was free, he was shown in to the office.

"Greetings, young man. I believe your name is Junpei Nobita." said the Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, as he smoked using his long pipe (defo not sus).

Nobita replied: "Yes hokage-sama, I am a part of the Genin corps and have come to receive my first mission."

"Good, good. Well you see, we are quite short on shinobi right now my boy, and so I need you be part of a three-man squad. There are some bandits in the forest not far from here. In fact, its a day's journey. It is a dangerous mission, especially for your first mission, but there will be a Chunin level Shinobi with you. Also, after seeing you in person, I believe you are much stronger than I was told." said the Hokage.

Nobita thought: "Hm a dangerous mission, great, I can earn some cash and experience while killing some bandits. Not bad at all. However, this Hokage's a lot more cold and cunning, he thinks I'm expendable, as opposed to the genin who are in teams like Naruto or Sasuke."

Nobita then quickly replied: "Understood hokage-sama, I will then leave to prepare immediately. If you don't mind me asking what is the mission rank and pay?"

Sarutobi: "Oh haha! Looks like in my old age, I have forgotten to mention important details. It is C-ranked and your base pay is 50,000 ryo and goes up proportionally to your contribution. And yes, as soon as you're done preparing, head for the gate, your team will be assembled in less than an hour."

Nobita nodded and then took his leave. He prepared some weapons such as kunai and a few explosive tags, as well as some food and water enough for three to four days, although the mission would probably only last 1-2 days max. He also left a note to his younger brother Jiro saying: "I'll be back in 2 days, I'm going on a mission. There's some food I have prepared for you, but if ur extra hungry eat some ramen at Ichiraku, here's some cash."

After making his preparations, Nobita jogged to the Konoha main gate, where he found two older shinobi. One was a girl, probably the chunin and the other was a boy probably a year older than him.

Girl: "Are you Nobita?"

Nobita: "Yup that's me."

The girl then coolly replied: "Good, my name is Yui, and this guy over here is Asahi. We'll be teammates during this bandit mission."

Asahi nodded in response. Yui was 16-17 years old and was quite tall compared to Nobita. She was quite attractive, and had black hair, green eyes and pretty face.

Asahi was 14 or 15 years old and was buff, quite manly looking, but seemed as if he had brawns but little to no brain.

Nobita: "Great. What's our strategy, should we capture or kill on sight?"

Yui: "Lets talk strategy on the way to the hideout. For now, if you're ready, we should leave."

The trio then left the village and sped-run their way to the bandit hideout. It was a day's journey, so they took breaks, and talked on how to approach the bandits. Yui explained that their mission was to kill and not capture, since these bandits had murdered a couple of people in a nearby town.

They would execute a sneak attack, where Yui would attack from the back, Asahi from the front, and I would be hidden in the trees, throwing Kunai and long-range attacks, and would be back-up in case of an emergency. The plan sounded quite logical to Nobita.

Nobita: "Are you guys experienced with this kind of task?"

Yui: "If you ask me, then yes. I have killed 3-4 rogue shinobi in the past. However, this is the first time I am leading a mission."

Asahi just waved his head, indicating he had not killed before.

Nobita: "Same, I have never killed anyone, but I am prepared."

Yui: "Good. Then let's all perform our duty to the best of our abilities."

After making further small talk and some strategy sessions, they finally arrived at the bandit hideout.

It was nighttime, and it appeared that the bandits were having their dinner. Yui then started counting the number of bandits.

Yui counted: "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight,....nine. Hmmmmm."

Nobita: "What's up? Any problem?"

Yui: "There were only supposed to be eight, but why is there nine. Furthermore, the ninth bandit is no bandit, he's a shinobi as you can see from his headband, one from Kirigakure too. This mission is no longer a C-rank, but may even be a B or A depending on this shinobi's strength. I think we should abandon this mission."

Nobita: "I think we can take him. The bandits are easy, but if if we concentrate our attacks on him, it shouldn't be too hard. One hit at a critical area will be enough."

Yui: "Listen Nobita, standard procedure is to abandon a mission if the details are reported incorrectly."

Nobita: "You are right. However, as Lord Hokage said most shinobi are busy right now. If these bandits are plotting something with this shinobi, then it could result in numerous more deaths and danger for our village. We must take care of this problem."

Nobita however was thinking, "This shinobi should have some cool jutsu on him. Plus that blade of his can be sold for quite a bit."

Yui started thinking and after a few minutes came to a decision.

Yui: "Hmmm, your assessment is correct. Alright change of plan. Me and Nobita will sneak attack the shinobi, while Asahi takes care of the bandits."

After carefully positioning ourselves, and on Yui's count of three, we sprang into action.

I released a highly condensed and concentrated fireball at the Shinobi's head, while Yui opted for frontal assault.

Asahi lunged towards the bandits.
