Chapter 55: Finding something fun to do

Far away from Konoha,a short elderly man was relaxing in hot springs enjoying a good drink.

This elderly man was short, about as tall as half a normal human. His eyebrows were long and his beard reached his upper chest.

In today's age, not many people would recognize this man, but in his prime, his name "Akai" would put fear inside any enemy he faced.

Today only a few from Konoha would recognize this old man.

"AHH, it feels nice to finally travel so I can find myself!" The old man said.

Suddenly the old man stood up from the pool of water and dressed up in his old, poor looking yakura and escaped the hot springs without paying.

'Ho ho ho, did they already find me from Konoha? two strong chakras entered this small village, let's see who they sent!' The old man though with a s.irk as he stealthily arrived near the two that had entered the village.

"Let's hurry back, we don't have time to stop here!" An orange haired man with piercing said.

"Yes Pain-sama" The purple haired woman beside him said.

As Akai Zaraki was looking at the two, he could guess that they had some kind of affiliation, as they wore the same black robes with red clouds on them.

'Intrifuing, those eyes... the only eyes that is said to surpass my own.... makes me want to try them out.' Akai thought as he kept spying on the two.

Suddenly both of them looked at eachother and nodded, before flashing away, far outside the village.

'Ho ho ho they could notice this old man... not bad, let's see what the youth of today is capable of.' Akai smiled as he followed them.

They had stopped in the Forrest far away from the village.

Suddenly the old man arrived near them.

" Why were you spying on us old man?" The purple haired female stepped forward and asked with a frown.

"Ehh, I just wanted to ask you guys if you can give this old man some money, you see I'm pretty poor." Akai said with a smile, yet he was giving off dangerous vibes as his eyes couldn't be seen because of his long eye brows.

"Sorry, we have nothing on us, let's depart here." the lady said as she got ready to leave.

Suddenly she felt a burst of chakra coming from the old man as a big ball of flames flew towards her. Both her and her companions dodged.

"Please entertain this old man, I'm pretty bored lately." Akais said before blowing out a small tornado of wind blades from his mouth.

"Watch out, he's dangerous. The red haired man known as pain said.

"I'll leave him to you." Pain said as he retreated.

"Young lady, please be respectful to your elders, at least properly introduce yourself." Akai said with a smile.

"... I'm kon" Konan was just about to introduce herself, feeling that the old man had a point, sadly she got interrupted.

"Who is your parents, blah, bring them here and let me teach them how to raise children. You can't even introduce yourself. Ptui." Akai spit at the end to show his dissatisfaction.

Konan's face darkened in anger, she felt that the old man was very shameless, but nonetheless, she controlled her anger.

"As I said, I am Kona..."

"Ptui, brat don't you know that it's rude to interrupt this old man when he's about to say something!" Akai interrupted again.

Konan shut her mouth, her face didn't betray any feelings but her fists were clenched.

'Calm down, his life will soon end." She thought to herself, Trying to calm herself down.

"I'm known as Akai the strong old man, come let's fight, don't say I bullied you bring your boyfriend here and le time slap him as well." Akai said, this time he didn't look like he was teasing.

Konan lost her temper and wings of paper sprouted from her back as she shot feathers from them, made of paper.

"Ho ho ho, scary, but isn't paper weak to fire?" Akai said with a grin as a tornado made of flames started spinning with him in the center. The tornado became so large that it burnt down a circle of 1 kilometers diameter.

Yet, after the flames calmed down, Akai was surprised to find that Konan was unhurt, infarct her paper wings as well as the 'feathers' of paper she shot wer also unburnt. They were completely unscathed.

"Impressive... You're pretty, how about becoming my granddaughter in law?" Akai said happily.

"Old man, you have a screw loose, how about you worry about yourself first." She said.

Akai followdd her sight and found that a few of her feathers that she had shot had hit him, none were vital but he was bleeding.

'Oh, even these were unscathed by my flames...'

"It has been.... a long time since someone made me bleed." Akai said. But it was as if the temperature fell, as his composure completely changed.

Konan retreated as her instincts told her that the old man suddenly became dangerous.

unknownst to his opponents, Akai activated his Eternal Mugengan and the holes that had appeared on his body, all closed up as the oozing blood coagulated.

Akai had kept a good lis on this secret as not many had survived to tell the tale, but his left eye gave him the ability to elementize into blood.

Seeing how how wounds closed up, pain flashed beside konan with a frown.

"He is... not as easy as we thought, lets work together." Pain said to Konan, she simply nodded.

"Is fire can't burn your paper, how about this." Akai said as he swung his arm, making a Cresent of water fly towards the two. both dodged but while they did that, the skies turned extremely dark as clouds almost black gathered.

Both Konan and pain looked up and felt that it started pouring heavily.

"Who is this old man..." Konan in surprise as they hadn't heard of someone this strong in this country.

The rain in the sky all suddenly turned into spinning spikes of water that attacked both of them.

Seeing the incoming attack, Pain finally made a move.

"Devas path!"
