5 Chapter 5: The best teacher teaches with a smack.

"I'm the Zaraki Clan's head." Oden simply said, he couldn't be bothered to say anything else, since they were the ones to invite him.

"Ah, I'm sorry, I was instructed to lead you to..." He said in worry, but before he could finish Oden spoke up.

"I don't mind, keep doing your work, I'll find your head on my own." He simply said as he kept walking in.

The guard became uncertain, as Oden had brought some servant-looking old man with him.

The guard wasn't sure if he should question the old man's identity, normally he would but this was a guest that was invited by their head, and at the same time the guest was the head of another strong clan.

In the end he didn't say anything and pretended he didn't see anyone else.

"Grandfather, are you familiar with these streets?" Oden spoke. He would rather have the guard guide them but he had to pretend to be a big boss that knew everything, what kind of big boss needs the guide?

"A long time ago, they wanted to marry one of their princesses to me but her eyes were scary so I refused." Akai Said with a bored tone.

Oden eyes almost twitched at this. 'Old man, do you know how many otakus would fight you to death for what you just said? Their eyes are pretty, pretty I tell'ya!' Oden thought

When they reached the central part of the Hyuga district they found a big house.

"Is this the Clan heads house?" Oden asked a passerby.

"Yes." the butler-looking Hyuga answered with a bow before walking away.

"That was simple." His grandpa commented.

"Indeed," Oden said

As they walked forward a maid opened the door to the big house.

"Are you the Zaraki clan head?" She asked politely.

After Oden confirmed his identity with a nod, the maid just took a glance at the old man beside him without saying anything.

"Okay follow me." She said as she guided him to a room that they had prepared.

Oden found Hiashi Hyuga sitting in the middle of the room with a small table In front of him.

"Welcome, I have been waiting for your arrival." Hiashi said with a smile. He took a glance at the old man and found him somewhat familiar.

Hiashi couldn't put his finger on it as he didn't recognize Akai, in the end he also assumed Akai to be a servant.

"Bring tea to our guests. Hiashi said, once again adopting his cold demeanor.

The maid didn't even speak as she left.

"Thank you for your invitation, I would have brought a gift had it not been for the short notice." Oden said politely without any emotion, after all this could potentially be his father-in-law.

Oden sat down in front of Hiashi, but what made Hiashi frown slightly was the fact that Oden's servant also sat down beside Oden.

Servants don't sit with their masters, they stand behind, ready to serve.

Waiting for a second Hiashi saw that Oden had no intention to discipline his servant for his bad behavior. In the end, Hiashi didn't want to sour their meeting so he kept silent about the servant.

"Let's get to business, I don't enjoy small talk with people I barely know." Oden simply stated.

Hiashi once again smiled just slightly at this, he found Oden more and more pleasing to the eye.

"I agree, as I mentioned in the letter, the former Head of the Zaraki clan had discussed the matter of my eldest daughter marrying you. Although I have no evidence of this matter I still hope that this won't be something that is left as something that was never explored." Hiashi explained his reasoning.

"I have already confirmed what you have said in your letters, my father was not a man of many words so it wasn't easy to find the truth." Oden said.

At first glance, it might seem like simple words but for the keen mind, they'll understand the underlying message.

'Even without proof, and prior knowledge of this, I can find out whether you're lying or not. This is how powerful my clan is!' is essentially what Oden hoped to convey.

"Is that so." Hiashi simply stated.

Unfortunately for Oden, his message had totally missed its mark and Hiashi only took his words at face value

"How come you want to marry your eldest daughter?" Oden simply spoke, wanting Hiashi to be honest with his intention with this marriage.

Hiashi became silent for a second as he pondered how he should answer.

"My daughter is talented.. but her attitude is lacking for a ninja. If she stays in the clan my youngest daughter will become the head of the clan instead of her, so it's more beneficial for the clan if she married into your clan." Hiashi said, believing that his intention was made clear.

'I see, if his youngest becomes the head in the future, then Hinata will get branded. But if she married into my clan before that, he can save both of them from that fate. And at the same time, it can placate the elders of his clan, as having a Hyuga in the Zaraki clan's main lineage will bring them lots of benefits...' Oden speculated.

"I didn't think you'd be this impressive." Oden simply spoke.

"Hnn" Hiashi nodded, realizing that Oden had understood his implication.

The maid finally arrived with the tea and served them.

Hiashi picked up his teacup and took a sip, and Oden also took a sip.

But before the cup could even leave his lips, a hand smacked the back of his head hard enough to make him spit the tea straight at Hiashi and his cup flew straight at the wall.

Silence took over the room as Hiashi showed his killing intent for the servant beside Oden, that had smacked the young clan patriarch.

"BRAT DON'T YOU EVEN KNOW THE BASICS OF BEING A NINJA, HOW CAN YOU BLINDLY DRINK A CUP OF TEA SERVED BY SOME SNOT-NOSED BASTARD!!!" Akai shouted angrily at his grandson.

"SNOTNOSED BASTARD??!" Hiashi shouted in anger realizing that the servant was cursing him.

"GRANDPA CAN'T YOU BE ON YOUR BEST BEHAVIOUR AS IM MEETING SOMEONE THAT COULD BE MY FATHER-IN-LAW!" Oden shouted back angrily

"GRANDPA?!" Hiashi shouted in confusion...

"Wait.. grandpa... as in Akai Zaraki..?" Hiashis face got slightly pale as he realized who was sitting in front of him.

Hiashi's father had warned him of 3 people to never mess with if he ever met them.

Akai (Red) Zaraki was one of them.

The room got instantly filled with Ninjas as they heard a commotion.

"Stand down, leave this instant!" Hiashi nervously commanded his underlings.

As they left, they heard a bump and then footsteps as someone hurriedly ran away.

Hiashi instantly activated his Byakugan and was shocked by what he saw.

"Hinata" he whispered, which was heard by Oden.

'She must have misunderstood and thought that her father was selling her off for benefits...' Oden realized.

Before Hiashi could run after his daughter, Oden spoke up.

"Let me speak to her, you stay with my grandfather and catch up as it seems like you know of him." Oden said as he stood up.

Hiashi became very uncertain, what would Oden say to his daughter... seeing as Akai simply sat there sipping his tea not saying anything, Hiashi also sat down again.

Realizing that Akai was drinking the very same tea that he had smacked and berated his grandson for, both Hiashi and Oden had their eyes twitching.
