46 Chapter 46: Oden the destructionist

After the flames stopped raining, a strange calm overtook the battlefield

Not all of Kumogakure's forces had arrived, they had an army of 18,000 shinobi in total, 10,000 of those were at the borders and doing missions. 8 thousand were in the village. 8 thousand of those shinobi had arrived outside of Kumo to help their Kage.

As the dust had settled, the soldiers looked around with pale faces. they saw that there were only a few hundred soldiers that survived, and they were the ones that B and Yugito had successfully saved

Soon they noticed another oddity, there was a huge earth dome where their Raikage had been before, they could feel small tremors coming from the dome.

Everyone looked towards the enemy they believed their Raikage would kill. He stood with his arms crossed, wearing a black haori and a straw hat hanging on his neck. under his haori, he had a Konoha Jonin uniform.

They all felt fear for him as they saw his eyes, golden irises with black sclera.

And the worst part, he had huge flames dancing around him made of Chakra.

Oden, stood there looking at the dome, he was happy with the results so far.

Oden released his jutsu and the dome fell apart.

Inside the dome was the Raikage in his lightning release chakra mode, he looked slightly ruffled with many small scars, but unharmed nonetheless,

As for Durui, he was surrounded by black lightning that had protected him, but he still looked worse than the Raikage as he had blood dripping down his face.

"Since you've survived this, let me give you one more gift!" Oden said as he created two Rasenyari in both palms. These RasenYari were sparkling with lightning.

As he threw them, they disappeared into thin air.

'I want to see if their lightning can protect them from another lightning attack." Oden thought.

"Huh, what kind of attack is that?" Durui asked in confusion.

"Don't let down your guard!" Raikage barked.

Suddenly both of them got hit on their stomachs by something invisible, blasting them away toward the Kumo forces.

B stood up as he felt his brother and Durui flying at high speeds toward him. He raised a chakra tentacle to catch them.

But their momentum was too great, and as the tentacle caught them, the tentacle got cut off because of the force of their flight.

When the Raikage stood up from the crater and debris, he saw that his lightning release had been cut through, and there was a 2-centimeter deep, 5-centimeter-long cut on his stomach.

"Impressive.." He muttered in surprise, not many had been able to cut his skin while he had the lightning mode on.

As for Durui, he looked like someone had stabbed a sword right through his stomach. It looked bad and he fell to his knees.

"Darui!" Yugito shouted as she was the one to arrive close to him.

Her shout gained the attention of everyone else.

"Take him to the hospital, NOW!" The Raikage ordered.

He turned toward Oden who stood still with his arms crossed.

The Raikage realized that Konoha was no longer an enemy he could mess with

"Retreat!" He finally shouted toward the remaining soldiers, including the S-rank shinobi.

They all looked with uncertainty, as they saw that their kage had no intention of retreating.

Would their fourth Raikage follow in the footsteps of the third Raikage? They didn't want to lose their strongest shield, after losing 8 thousand shinobi.

Their loss today had been horrifying.

"I SAID RETREAT!' The Raikage shouted in anger as he saw the uncertainty on their faces.

Then he turned off his lightning release chakra mode and started walking towards Oden.

By the time he had arrived in front of Oden, the battlefield was empty except for the 8,000 dead bodies.

"What do you want." The Raikage spoke. He knew that Oden had the higher ground. They initiated this war by kidnapping the Konoha shinobi, believing that Konoha couldn't retaliate.

Now that Oden defeated them, he had the higher ground.

Oden understood that the Raikage raised the white flag, otherwise, he wouldn't have stopped his strongest chakra mode jutsu.

"How about your lightning release chakra mode?" Oden said in askance, but Raikage knew he wasn't asking.

The bulky Kage understood that if they continued the fight, there is a chance that they can win... but the cost will be too great. 8,000 shinobi have already died. That's almost half their forces. They might be able to kill Oden but Raikage assumed that the cost of achieving that would be that Kumo would disappear from the map forever. And he wasn't willing to pay that price.

Oden doesn't even look tired.

The Raikage grinded his teeth in anger, his fists were clenched, yet he couldn't afford to keep fighting if he wanted Kumo to keep existing.

"Wait here." He said as he activated his lightning release chakra mode and disappeared.

Not even thirty seconds later, did he arrive with a scroll in his hands, he threw it toward Oden and then flashed away without another word.

"One of two Jutsu's I always wanted..." Oden whispered.

'Watch out pedosnake, I still want that jutsu of yours...' Oden thought with a grin. His gains today were worth it.

As he turned around, he found that Kakashi had arrived, his eye was bulging as if he had witnessed something crazy.

"You... really are something else." Kakashi finally spoke.

"Let's return." Oden simply stated as he put the scroll away."

During the two weeks that Kakashi and Oden traveled back to Konoha... Scary news started spreading around all the nations.

That Kumo had picked a fight With Konoha, so Konoha sent a single Shinobi that fought The Raikage, Durui, the two Jinchuriki, and 8,000 shinobi forces, and he defeated them within a few hours.

The rumors were so crazy that most people didn't believe the news. After all, The fourth Hokage, Minato had once become a legend after defeating 1,000 shinobi soldiers, yet someone else defeated 8,000 while fighting a Kage.

No one believed these Rumors, Only the people of Kumo and Konoha knew that it wasn't rumors, it was a historical fact.

"Are you sure that Konoha and Kumon aren't plotting anything?" An elderly, short kage spoke to his spies that had hurried back from Kumon with grave news.

"Tsuchikage-sama, I not only witnessed it with my own eyes, but I also survived that disaster! Please, I came to warn you, don't mess with Konoha!" The spy cried out.

He was a spy planted in Kumo, and he was one of the few that had survived.

"I also want to retire..." The spy finally said. He felt like he couldn't continue as a shinobi after what he had seen.

"... Brat, leave your headband here and get out!" The Tsuchikage shouted in anger.

His fists were clenched, he wasn't really angry at his spy, just at the information that the spy came with.

'If this is true... then there is another beast of their caliber..." Tsuchikage thought nervously as he remembered Hashirama and Madara.
