23 Chapter 23: Who dares to act cool in front of me, the coolest?

As for Hinata, it was the first time everyone was cheering for her like this, yet her eyes skipped everyone as she was searching for someone in the stands until she saw her father or rather the person beside him.

Seeing as he was looking at her with a proud expression she became very happy.

'Thank You Oden....kun' She thought in her head as she started walking back.

In the stands where the genin and their teachers stood, there were mixed reactions.

Gaara, the brother of Kankuro was basking in killing intent. Their sister Temari just looked very worried.

Neji's face looked like he had tasted poo.

The one who was the most surprised there... was Jonin Kurenai Yuhi. She was the teacher of Hinata.

And she wanted to train Hinata for the exams herself and was slightly displeased because the Zaraki clan head had stolen Hinata's time from her. And she couldn't do anything about it since Oden Zaraki was one of the most powerful people of Konoha, not simply as a shinobi but in authority as he was the head of THE Zaraki clan.

He was also the future husband of Hinata and had the support of the Hyuga clan patriarch... so Kurenai didn't have much say in it and the in end she was very displeased.

She knew about Hinata's personality and wanted her to be prepared through genjutsu so she wouldn't have to fight directly.

But seeing how things had turned out, she was absolutely speechless.

"You trained your disciple well." Asuma Sarutobi said in surprise as well.

"... I didn't..." She said.

After Hinata had walked off, the next fighters had to come down and prepare to fight.

None of the fighters after Hinata had been as surprising, but the Zaraki clan really showed their capabilities with their Mugengan.

Their fights weren't really about winning, rather it was about showing off, which they succeeded in.

Everyone got their chance, and in the end, It was only one fight left, Sasuke vs Gaara. Just when confusion started spreading about the whereabouts of Sasuke, Kakashi arrived in the middle of the stadium with Sasuke beside him.

'tsk, acting cool.' Oden felt slightly displeased. Who deserved looking cool except for him? Maybe he should go down there and smack Sasuke and Kakashi for being late.

As Oden played with the thought, Gaara arrived in front of Sasuke, looking quite bloodthirsty for some reason.

As everyone was cheering, Oden looked around, finally realizing that this was oddly similar to the gladiator games.

Looking around he found many hidden shinobi and anbu, things were heating up.

"Be ready, things might become heated now," Oden spoke to Hiashi as if he was talking about the game.

"Yes, I am aware." HIashi simply stated as his hands reached down towards Hanabi, holding her shoulder.

Hanabi was surprised her father rarely showed emotion nor held her.

Sasuke and Gaara were fighting it out, and suddenly everyone was surprised by the fact that Sasuke's hand had brightened up with thousands of sparks.

This was the famed technique of Kakashi Hatake, Chidori!

As the fight was heating up, Sasuke finally pierced Gaara's perfect defense made of sand. Spilling the blood of Gaara seemed to have made him crazy as chakra was starting to overflow from Gaara sacring almost everyone spectating.

Suddenly one of the civilians noticed a white feather falling down from the sky.

"Huh, what's that?" He said before falling asleep. Soon everyone started falling asleep as Gaara awakened the chakra beast that was sealed inside him.

Suddenly there were foreign shinobi forces that started showing themselves all around Konoha as they had infiltrated the village.

Hearing the chaos, and seeing movement up in the Kages stand, Oden knew he got to start moving ahead with his plan.

His Mugengan activated and he created 4,000 shadow clones that started running to each corner of the village to help wherever it was needed.

As for his real body, it headed towards the roof of the central watchtower.

In his memories, Sunagakure came with approximately 100 shinobi, but he knew that things were different in the real world, so he created 4,000 clones and hoped they would be enough.

The forces that invaded were about 5,000-6,000. 300 were inside and the rest were waiting outside the village ready to invade when they got the signal, which they did by now.

As Oden arrived outside the central watchtower, he stopped before heading to the roof, realizing that he could just wait inside the building so he hurried inside.

Then he ran towards the highest floor before jumping up at the roof and using chakra to stand upside down. He knew that just one or two meters above him would Orochimaru's fight with the third Hokage take place.

And at that place, Orochimaru will set up a cubic barrier which will also encompass Oden as he is hiding right under their feet.

It didn't take long before Oden saw a barrier taking place, he also knew that they had a lot of catching up to do, so he'll jump in later when everything looks dire...

'It's definitely not to look cooler than Kakashi...' Oden tried to justify for himself.

Konoha Jonin surrounded the central watchtower as they noticed the flame barrier that had been set up at the roof.

Oden waited for about 5 or so minutes as he felt the roof shake. And finally, he felt that things had calmed down slightly, and he knew it was time for him to reveal himself.

"I shall kill you and rectify the errors of my past!" The third Hokage shouted as he used shadow clone jutsu to create two clones.

After that he got ready to use a jutsu Orochimaru wasn't familiar with, a jutsu that the fourth Hokage had taught him. Sealing Jutsu! Reaper death seal.

"No matter what you try, it's too late, Konoha will fall," Orochimaru said with a smirk as he saw that the Hokage was going for a last struggle.

"Konoha is my home, as the Hokage, I'm a central pillar of Konoha and I am responsible for its defense and protection! As the one who inherited the will of Konoha, I will not go down so easily!" The third spoke as he got ready for his last jutsu.

Beside Orochimaru were two dead bodies that had been revived using the Summoning Jutsu, Impure World Reincarnation. Their sclera had become black just like the Mugengan of the Zaraki clan.

They were the fed first and second Hokage, that had created and built up the Village hidden in the leaves.

The first Hokage stepped forward and cast a jutsu on the third Hokage, which made the third Hokage blind. Everything turned black for him.

"You speak nonsense, you're only one leader in a line of many for a lowly organization." Orochimaru retorted with his beliefs on being Hokage.

"The village isn't just an organization for me... I've seen everyone in Konoha grow up, everyone is precious to me, and even if we aren't related by blood they are my family!" Hiruzen spoke with conviction.

This was the will of fire, to become a village and end hatred between each other.

"Heheh then I shall break down the pillar of Konoha, you, and destroy the house of Konoha," Orochimaru said, not convinced at all by his teacher's philosophy.

"Hmph even if you kill me, the pillar of Konoha will not fall. I inherited the will of the first and second Hokage, and after me, a new Hokage who inherits my will shall emerge as its pillar... AND DEFEND KONOHAGAKURE!" the third shouted. He got ready to finish his seal.

"Orochimaru, let me reveal for you my trump jutsu, one that you haven't seen yet! Summoning jutsu..." But before the third Hokage could finish, right between Orochimaru and Hiruzen, someone jumped through the roof from the inside creating a hole in the roof.

The said person landed near the third Hokage, looking bored and aloof.

"Huh?"

"Huh?"

"Huh?"

"Huh?" They all said in confusion.
