25 frustration of a legend - pt.2

"I never expected something like this to happen to the guy... you really can't trust the information from the anime, this is real life after all!" he thought as he reflected on what Dai had told him. It didn't take long for him to hear some screams and noises.

"DARN IT, DARN IT!!!"

"WHY???!!!!!"

"WHY AM I NOT ACCEPTED!!"

There was a young man on his knees, punching the ground hard enough to show traces of blood on his fist.

"Hey, Guy," Eiji decided to greet him, extending a slight wave.

"Go away, Eiji," Guy didn't even bother to look at him.

"What happened? Why are you like this?" He showed concern as he approached Guy.

"I failed," he murmured.

"Who failed what?"

"I FAILED THE ACADEMY EXAM TWICE IN A ROW," the guy exploded with anger and began to unleash the anger that had been suppressed in his heart.

"I've always wanted to be a shinobi since I was a child, and my dream was always to be one, but they showed that every shinobi needs to know how to use Genjutsu or Ninjutsu!"

"And you know what hurts the most? It's knowing that no matter how much I try with myself, it won't happen! In the ninja academy, I'm ridiculed, considered a failure; they make fun of my dream as if it's a joke, saying that I have no talent or aptitude for anything! I can't reach anyone even if I train with all my might to defend my dream! I'm angry just for dreaming!!!!" Guy screamed with all his might.

"People telling me to be born again, just kill myself, maybe I can use Ninjutsu in my next life! And when I get home, my father tries to cheer me up and comfort me, he hugs me, apologizes, and cries, but he knew it, a chance that I would never have even heard from him that I could have.

'Because it's impossible.'

So I kept my focus on what I dreamed so much! I trained a lot, day after day without rest, every day without a hint of ease, one day I went after the ninja I admired the most, and I asked him to just tell me the truth!"

"You can't be a ninja if you don't know how to use Ninjutsu or Genjutsu!!!"

"Those words echoed in me as if it were an announcement of the end times; I began to feel so empty even though I was so full, feeling so cold, but burning inside!" And then tears began to fall from his face without him noticing.

'As if having everything in hand but at the same time having nothing. As if... nothing is worth it anymore.'

"People despise those who are not like them; I've seen this happen several times," Eiji commented. He really didn't know what to say in these occasions.

"I don't need your pity. Get out of here!" Guy threw pieces of grass at his pants. Eiji didn't even bother to dodge. He felt that if he did, it would be very wrong.

"So you're giving up? All your hard work?" He questioned him severely, he really didn't like his attitude of giving up!

"You don't understand! You know all the glory and talent you have? I WANTED A LITTLE OF IT! BUT I WASN'T BORN WITH IT!

"I DOUBT YOU'LL FIND ANYONE WHO'S DONE A THIRD OF THE TRAINING I'VE DONE!"

'Your father,' this thought immediately came to mind, but he resisted not to respond to it.

"It's just that I wasn't born a chosen one." His voice was already hoarse.

BAM!!!

He punched Guy in the face hard enough for him to roll towards a tree. "You're full of yourself, aren't you, Guy?" Eiji growled, sarcasm evident in his voice.

"No one trains as much as you? Do you think you're special? Even if you have a natural gift or talent, if you don't work hard, hard work will beat natural talent!" He shouted back at him.

"It hurts, bastard, hard work will never beat natural talent! I'll never be able to win even if I train 10 times more than I do now!" He replied as he massaged his face.

Eiji calmed down after punching him in the face and said, "Have you heard of the Leaf Village's Lotus?"

"Yes... always blooms twice, my father said a few times, what does that have to do with it?" He seemed ready to attack me at any moment.

"So why don't you bloom a third time?" I smiled and extended my hand.

"Huh?" Guy raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"Come train with me and Kakashi in my father's teachings, I'll make you the second strongest ninja in Shinobi history, where you can kill Madara with just a few casual punches," he spoke seriously and with great conviction about it.

But Guy didn't pay attention to the second part. "And who will be the strongest ninja? Number 1?" He questioned Eiji.

"Me, obviously," Eiji pointed to himself.

"But I can't use Genjutsu or Ninjutsu," he shook his head. Eiji's proposal was very tempting for him. Training with White Fang in Konoha? It was the dream of many!

"Huh? Who said you can't?" Eiji questioned him with surprise.

"The medics..." he hesitated before answering.

"But you can! You just have issues using it; you suck at chakra control, but you can use it!" Eiji denied what he said wholeheartedly.

"You're lying!" He shouted and lunged at Eiji.

Eiji let him approach and quickly put him down on the ground while placing his hand on his back and started to transfer his chakra.

"Do you feel that warm and gentle sensation? It's your chakra, which means you can use it! Calm down!" he said as he stepped away from Guy.

"Are you telling the truth?" He asked Eiji as he covered his face on the ground and began to cry. It was the best news he had received in years.

"Yes," Eiji said softly.

It didn't take long for him to compose himself and get up from the ground, his tears had already dried.

"Tomorrow at 6, come to my house, your training will be even worse, will you still come?" Eiji questioned him.

He nodded frantically. "Yes, I will, even if my legs are broken."

His tone seemed to have improved, but he wasn't as excited and smiling as usual.

'Why is this world so messed up? Did my existence change Guy's attitude and depress him even more?' He sighed... These answers he would never be able to get.
