4 Beginning of a shinobi

[Time skip - After 2 years in the Jutsu]

"Now that you two are 4 years old, let's start your training. Listen to me carefully!"

The atmosphere became strange; the air of a calm and modest man disappeared as if it had never existed. Standing before them was the Jonin of Konoha, the battlefield general.

And this put pressure on the two young ones. They didn't expect this change in their father. They had never seen how he really was outside the house. He seemed stern, rigid, as if his mere gaze could disable the enemy.

He didn't wait for the two children to respond; he had already decided to push their training to the limit. It's better to suffer during training than on the battlefield, where one mistake meant death.

Thinking about that, he began to explain the basics of chakra.

"Chakra is the form of energy resulting when two other forms of energy are mixed. The two energies are called 'physical energy' and 'mental energy.'"

"Physical energy is collected from the cells of the body and can be increased through training, stimulation, and exercise."

"Mental energy is derived from the consciousness of the mind (the soul) and can be increased through study, meditation, and experience. The combination of these two energies will make the created chakra more powerful."

Once molded, it can be channeled through the circulatory chakra system to any of the 361 chakra points (called tenketsu) in the body.

Through various methods, the most common of which are hand seals, chakra can be manipulated to create effects that would not be possible otherwise, such as walking on water, exhaling fire, or creating illusions."

"Amazing, I want to learn this, Dad, teach me," Kakashi rarely got excited, but anything related to his father and being a ninja got him excited.

"I want to spit fire!" Eiji said enthusiastically.

"Calm down, you'll be able to do that... but it will take a while..." Sakumo's smile didn't seem pleasant.

A shiver ran down the backs of the two youngsters, and they started sweating; that smile didn't seem pleasant at all...

"A good way to develop chakra in the body is to spin it in a tight spiral. Spinning the chakra to the right or to the left depends on how the user's hair grows, whether in the right or left direction."

"Why does spinning the chakra have to do with the direction of our hair?" Eiji was a bit confused; he didn't remember such a thing.

"Have you ever seen a waterfall going in the opposite direction? It's the same here; you can't go against the nature of your body. It will only be harmed in the long run as you won't be able to use any jutsu, maybe not even the most basic ones." Sakumo calmly explained.

This kind of general knowledge was usually not explained, and they let the children learn through trial and error, but he didn't want to waste time on something so silly.

"First, you, Kakashi, try to feel your chakra. It's like a burning sensation in your stomach, something that's there, but you've never actively looked for it. Try to feel it."

"You too, Eiji, do the same. It may take some time for you to succeed if you're not talented enough. Some take weeks, and the worst ones take months." Sakumo wasn't lying; it had actually happened. Not everyone had the same talent.

*Sound of MC unlocking his chakra at bullsh.t speed*

5 minutes later, a breeze started blowing from Eiji. He had unlocked his chakra, and it was white as snow. It was usually hard to see chakra with the naked eye, but when released in large quantities, it became visible.

What surprised Sakumo was the time it took. He must have been one of the fastest in history to feel his chakra, if not the fastest. Besides, his chakra was at a high Genin level, not bad at all.

"Finally, I'm able to feel this chakra, feel something I've never had before. It's so strange, this feeling of familiarity. It must be because of [perfect natural adaptation]. Otherwise, I doubt I would have done it so quickly."

Eiji was ecstatic; that feeling was very comforting, something that completed him, it felt so good, yet so strange.

It didn't take long for Kakashi to awaken his chakra as well, which made Sakumo very happy. The two were very talented, which made him both happy and sad at the same time.

"You lost, Kashi-ni; I felt my chakra first! You owe me the chocolate in the fridge mwahwahwahwa." Eiji couldn't help but act this way; irritating Kakashi was his greatest hobby.

"Darn it! That was the last one I saved." Kakashi said with crossed arms, clearly upset.

"Very well, you are very talented! Now, I will teach you some jutsus. If you can do them in 2 days, I'll enroll you in the ninja academy." Sakumo made a proposal.

"Which jutsu?"

"Are you spitting fire?"

Sakumo looked at Eiji strangely; he just wanted to learn how to spit a fireball? 'How nice it is to be innocent.' He wished all children were like that.

"Not that, you're not ready yet." Pausing for a moment, he confirmed with a hand on his chin, enjoying himself. "These are some really basic jutsus that are taught at the ninja academy. They teach at least 10 there, so if you learn 3 with me, I'll let you go."

"Ehhhhh, that's boring; we want something cooler," Kakashi said, not interested at all.

"These are the conditions, and they are basic, but they are extremely important. All shinobi use them in battles, and they can save lives or even hide from enemies," he said seriously. He would never tolerate such thinking.

Seeing his father's stern eyes, the two quickly closed their mouths, although Eiji couldn't help but sigh; the basics were always boring.

Seeing the puppy eyes of the two, Sakumo warned them, "The basics are essential; they create your foundation for growth and also improve chakra control upon first contact."

"Understood?" He asked with a stern look.

"Yes, sir!" Both straightened up quickly.

"Great, the three jutsus are [Substitution Jutsu], [Transformation Jutsu], and [Clone Jutsu]. I'll show you how to do it, and you two have 3 days to get it right."
