3 Chapter 3
"M-m-monster!" The innkeeper yelled, "Killer!"
Sighing to himself, he can't really blame her.
'Well… to the cave then!' Naruto then ran at normal pace towards a deep forest and found the cave the late bald bandit leader said. Performing a single tiger hand seal, a ball of fire suddenly popped out from nothingness and floated above the blonde's head. This was simple fire manipulation really, no biggie.
It took him a few minutes to find the treasure, slightly disappointed that there was only rocks and tunics and no ryo. Well at least he's rich. He then stacked up everything that was expensive, mainly gold and diamonds. Touching the stacked items, he then channeled chakra to his hand, "Duplicate"
The chakra from Naruto's hand then covered the entire stack of gold and diamonds and suddenly, the chakra moved away but didn't carry the rocks, instead, it maintained its form when it covered the stack.
What happened then would shock anyone to the core when a replica of the gold and diamonds Naruto had placed his hand on appeared meters away. "Hmm… This is enough, I guess…"
The blonde then removed his clothes, revealing a kanji on his shoulder. He then applied chakra to the kanji then said, "Inventory"
A floating cube that only Naruto can see appeared before his eyes and expanded to the size of a two-story house. Seeing this happening, everything he wanted within the reach of the cube was added into his inventory.

A screen appeared in front of Naruto.
This was the system.
Kami originally didn't want to give it to Naruto but…
*FLASHBACK*
Sounds of explosion and yelling could be heard on a forest occupied by no one but the vampire and jinchuuriki.
"Come on brat! Let me see how tough you are!" Alucard shouted at Naruto while throwing a punch towards the blonde's jaw knocking him out making the vampire stop on his tracks and looked at the environment full of blood.
"Uhh… I guess I pushed it too much…" Alucard sheepishly said, while a soul was coming out of Naruto's body.
Location: 'Heaven'
"Okay next…" Kami was sitting on his majestic throne while judging the souls. "Okay next…"
As he said that, Kami looked at the book that was on his hands. He was having the time of his li- "Oi old man!"
This voice…
Don't tell me…
"You owe me the system old man."
Oh. My. God.
Wait, I am God!
*PRESENT*
Pressing the 'Yes' button, a new screen popped out and had the list of the items he had with the icons beside the names.
[Golden Bracelet (36)]
[Golden Earings (8)]
[…]
Naruto then willed the screens to disperse and thought, 'Now what…'
[System have new missions for host]
"Oh? Tell me about it…" Naruto commanded the system.
[Civil War is currently happening in Kirigakure no Sato for the past 8 months; rebels are fighting against the Yondaime Mizukage's corruption.]
[Accept/Decline]
Naruto clicked on 'accept'.
[Which sides will you pick?]
[Rebels/Patriots]
Thinking for a minute, Naruto didn't know why the civil war started but after reading the contents again, maybe it was because of the Mizukage's corruption.
Well, the system was never wrong. Ever.
Pressing the 'Rebels' button, Naruto then went outside the cave and went back to the town but used "Henge" to transform into an adult man, because his original appearance already scared the people.
His reasons for going back to the town was because he needed to ask if there was any harbor and if there is, where.
Naruto in his transformation went back to the inn to see if the innkeeper could give him information about this place. "Excuse me?" he said and the lady flinched, was she scared of anybody now?
It took a while to calm the lady down and got his information for the location of a harbor. It was at the very south part of the island but it only took him a minute to arrive at another small town.
The first thing he noticed about this town was that it was failing. It seemed that shipping was the only means of income for this town to develop but because of the civil war happening to the mainland, they were paid less than the normal price for cargoes and labors. That's why big ships were just floating near the island and small boats were the only ones used so that people here could at least stack their food supply since meat seemed to be scarce on this land.
Looking around, Naruto saw a chubby merchant talking to an old man that looked to be the town mayor in front a big yet old town hall. He walked towards them until they noticed his presence, "Good evening gentlemen," Naruto initiated, "I would like to know if there's a ship here that will sail to the mainland?"
The old man seemed annoyed at what Naruto asked, "Huh? Mainland," The town mayor then shifted his gaze unto Naruto, "Why, do you want to go die there? Don't you know there's a war going on there? Only a fool would go."
"So you want to go to the main la-" The merchant was about to place his hand on Naruto's shoulder only for his wrist to be grabbed by the blonde.
Naruto noticed what he did and quickly released the wrist of the merchant who slightly squinted his eyes due to pain, "Uhh… Sorry there, my reflex suddenly kicked in."
The merchant completely waved it off, "Mah~mah, it's fine." He smiled, "The name's Steve, the soon-to-be one of the most successful man in the world!" Steve offered a handshake.
The merchant's introduction slightly surprised Naruto, 'English name?' but returned the handshake right away. "Naruto…"
Steve grinned, "You wanted to go to the mainland, right?" he asked. "I wanted to go there too and earn money through selling my supplies."
"So, what's stopping you?" Naruto asked raising one his brows.
Steve sighed and explained why he couldn't. The usual price for hiring a sailor was at most, R30 but due to the sailors having the fear of going to the mainland, they raised the price to an absurd amount of R200 per destination. The merchant had to pay R6,000 on sailors alone. Then there was also the rent of the cargo ship which was R10,000 per week and had to use it for at least a month. All in all, he needed a whopping amount of R46,000 but only had R31,000 . Thats why he wanted to borrow R15,000 from the mayor as a loan. But the mayor couldn't cough up that much amount of money because he didn't trust the merchant just yet.
"Tell you what," Naruto said. "I'll take care of the money for you, but you have to get me across the ocean to the mainland. Deal?" he held his hand for a handshake, hoping to make a deal.
Steve was skeptical for a second but sighed and shook Naruto's hand and said, "Deal… I'll see you on the ship first thing tomorrow then?"
"Agreed…" Naruto nodded then turned his gaze towards the town mayor as the merchant left for business. "Now… Mayor, I would like to sell some valuables for your country. Would you like to take a look?"
This peeked the mayor's interest and nodded, "Let's talk inside."
