Izanami's Predicament

As the situation in Izanagi's mindscape was ongoing, the situation in Izanami's mindscape was already beyond being salvageable.

Moments prior, when Shun and Kaguya separated their consciousness with [Parallel Processing] and went into Izanami's mindscape, the sight that greeted them was pure and utter chaos.

Different from Izanagi's mindscape which was barely cracked, the sky above Izanami's was already shattered with a minimal amount of energy visible. The energy here was as small as a river, if not a lake.

If Izanagi's situation was similar to a sea experiencing a storm, Izanami's was like a sea that has experienced a season of drought.

The figures of Shun and Kaguya were alerted at this sight and immediately searched for Izanami only to be met with nothing, she was nowhere to be found.

"No, no, no, this can't be happening" Shun mumbled while the color drained from his face, weirdly enough considering that he was also a spiritual body.

Kaguya remained silent as she didn't know what to say in this situation, any form of consolation would just add to his already growing negativity.

"How about we check out what happened here and see if we can analyze anything from it? Maybe we'll find out what happened to her from there" Kaguya suggested.

Shun looked at her with an indescribable gaze for a few seconds.

"Everything spent here agonizing is time Izanami could be in danger waiting for help," Kaguya said once more.

"Hn" Shunnnidded and regained the light in his eyes.

He sent a piercing gaze at the mindscape, trying to grasp what could have gone wrong, Kaguya did the same.

Normally, when a mindscape is destroyed like this, there is only one explanation, which is that the person has already been mind raped carelessly and would likely end up as an idiot.

Kaguya knew this, and so did Shun but neither of them wanted to believe that was the case in this situation.

After a few moments spent looking around, they both came to a conclusion.

There was no sign of any outside influence which meant that it was done from the inside. Not like there was anyone who could do anything like that in the presence of the Otsutsuki family gathered.

Not to mention Shun, Hagoromo, Hamura, Indra, and Ashura, the ladies in the family were plenty strong.

Kaguya and Shun reached the same conclusion as they did in Izanagi's mindscape. The cause was the abrupt release of all those locked-up energies all at once.

This was similar to releasing the seal locking up a tailed beast in a Jinchuriki from the anime. The jinchuriki either lose their rationality due to the corrosive effect of the Chakra and end up dying or surviving as a cripple.

This, and the effort by the tailed beast to escape its jail. These two end up destroying the jinchuriki's life in one way or another.

In this case, it was the abrupt release of the excess spiritual energy. In the anime, the Kurama clan bloodline limit was caused by excess Yin chakra which creates an alternate personality if not handled properly.

In the bleach anime, due to Ichigo overexerting himself that one time in his competition with Ishida, his spiritual energy began to overflow, which led to an undesirable outcome, though it was handled later on.

Although these three instances are different, they all had one thing in common which is that they all had the energy in excess. The world principles of the bleach world may be different but in the case of the Kurama clan girl, she had an excess amount of Yin chakra which stems from the spiritual energy in the mind.

If Izanami had created an alternate personality, it would have been a better outcome than the total destruction of her mindscape. This is literally destroying all her hopes of ever having a complete mind and consciousness. She could be like an old lady, forgetting things willy-nilly.

Shun had a devastated look on his face as he said motionless after coming to a conclusion. She was still a young girl, just 12 today.

Why had he even sealed it up in the first place?

Hagoromo. This was all his fault

No! It was the right thing, but still...

How was he going to explain this to Hinami?

Not to mention Izanami, how was Izanagi?

Was he alright?

Right! Some herbs had soul-related effects in my dimension, maybe they could be of some help?

Can I even refine them?

What combination would make for the optimum effect here?

Countless questions flashed through his head in seconds to which there was no answer.

Kaguya saw the look on his face and felt pity for him but had nothing to say in this situation. She just went and hugged him while rubbing his back comfortingly.

"You know, there Is a possibility that her mind hasn't disappeared yet," Kaguya said while gritting her teeth, the state Shun was in pained her deeply and she just wanted to give him a little bit of hope even if she knew she was grasping at straws here.

"Hm?" Shun shook as he reacted to what she said.

It had to be known that throughout the years, they both have benefited greatly from each other's knowledge of energies of different kinds and their compositions especially as it pertains to the body and soul, so even If he was lost on the way moving forward, that doesn't mean Kaguya would be.

"Think about it, if this place cracked as soon as you released the seal, that would mean she would most likely have had a seizure but she didn't, maybe her consciousness left her body or was carried along by the wave of energy," Kaguya explained her thoughts.

"Now that you say it, she was alright before we came in, but..." Shun replied as he thought about her explanation. True, the mind could wander outside the mindscape with proper practice and both Izanami and Izanagibhad been meditating since you, so that shouldn't be an issue to her.

"The fact remains that her mindscape is cracked. What are we to do even if she comes back?" Shun asked as he regained a little bit of hope.

"What if she can't come back? Her spiritual energy is already drained, what about it?" He continued.

"If she's able to come back, good, if she can't, we just have to look for her. For the cracked landscape, I don't believe we can't concoct something to heal it, for the spiritual energy, he just needs to regain it" Kaguya answered calmly, this time assured of her words as those were more feasible.

"Then, are we to assume Izanagi's situation is similar to Nami's? Shun asked rhetorically this time as neither of them had the answer to that.

"Sigh, what a pain. If only there was a multipurpose pill of sorts I can just create off the bat" Shun muttered as he looked at the destroyed mindscape once more.

"Yeah, if only..." Kaguya said while thinking.

"And this is only for the spiritual energy, we haven't even checked on her chakra pool." Shun Said and sighed.

{A/N: So I decided to use chakra core for Shun and his future descendants as their chakra would be condensed into a core instead of a pool. Chakra pool and Chakra core. You get the difference?}

"Yeah, considering their abnormal physical strength, coupled with this spiritual phenomenon, I wonder how their chakra pool will be," Kaguya said.

"Well, there is a possibility of them forming a core instead of a mere dantian equivalent," Shun said as he giggled slightly.

The tense air faded away as they spoke about their chakra and how unique it would be.

"But if natural energy is added then everything would be balanced Out, hehe" Kaguya followed along. "Maybe they would even reach your stage with enough time."

"Yeah... Wait! Natural energy. That's it." Shun screamed.

"What's it?" Kaguya asked, confused.

"Natural energy. Think about it. I don't have a chakra pool, I have an entire sea of it. And it was transformed after passing through the pool phase, core phase, and then the sea of it. Now, I can use spiritual energy and essence energy separately." Shun explained.

"I still don't follow," Kaguya said while shaking her head and pursing her lips.

"Sigh, think about the inheritance stuff from the cultivation novels. Children inherit some factors from their parents, right?" Shun asked.

"Hmm" Kaguya nodded before realization suddenly dawned on her, "So.."

"Yes, maybe with the aid of natural energy, Izanami and Izanagi could skip the poll phase and proceed to the core phase directly, being able to use spiritual energy and essence energy separately." Shun finished excitedly

Kaguya too was excited as this would be a new path to strength even for her. Shun did it but she wasn't around to witness it. But before she got carried away she suddenly frowned and asked.

"But they are in a perilous situation as it is now. How are you going to do it? Plus, natural energy is quite dangerous, you know?"

"Simple. Those chakra pills I created from your God tree branches. I've been saving them for both Hinami and Ria but Izanami and Izanagi should take precedence" Shun replied.

Kaguya's eyes brightened and she said

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go back and deal with this immediately. Hopefully, Izanami will still be around here somewhere and make use of the opportunity."

Shun scoffed and said, "Of course, she would, she may not look it but Nami is quite smart and intelligent, even more than Nagi. Now that I'm calmer, I can see Nami purposefully being swept by the wave of spiritual energy to find out where it leads to."

"Either she has blind faith in me to save her or she knows what she's doing. I would hope it the latter 'cause if it's the former, I would have to give her a good talking to"

"Hehe, surely she knows what she's doing," Kaguya said offhandedly with a smile.

Only if she knew.

With that, they both left and returned to the main body. As soon as they returned, Shun withdrew his [Parallel Thought] in Izanagi's mindscape and was surprised at the outcome there.

He released a breath of relief and said, "At least he is in a better situation"

With that, he raised his palm to bring out the chakra pills from his dimension, but before he could do that, he heard.

"Shun dear, are they okay?"
