Title: Chakra Theory

Shun watched as the kids gobbled the entire plethora of food that was enough to satiate a good dozen Shinobi or people with chakra running in them.

With a grandfatherly smile not leaving his face, he could see a shadow of Indra and Ashura in them before everything went wrong, Madara with Indra's excessive protectiveness and Ashura with Ashura's carefreeness.

In truth, they were the perfect duo, one making up for what the other lacked. If only things weren't as they were they could've been a formidable duo, alas, it's all in the past and even if given an opportunity to redo it again, he wouldn't interfere still.

"Now that you two are done, it's time to actually learn something new. Meet me out back." Shun said and stood up as he saw the kids were already quite fed up properly.

In this way, there would be maximum gains in shorter period of time. Sending them to the training dimension would also have the same effect but that was over a prolonged period of time. Unfortunately, these two had a destiny to fulfill and sending them away when they might be needed would be detrimental to the cause.

Madara and Hashirama held their bloated tummy in satisfaction, but hearing Shun's words killed their excitement.

Meanwhile, Shun was wondering if this was another wonder of this world or a wonder in every fictional world. 'How does a Human's stomach expands so much to contain that much food?'

Unfortunately, there was no one to give him a good enough answer. Not even Eien could, and with that thought in mind, he walked to the back of the cabin and directly transformed it into a classroom with a snap of his finger.

Sitting on the elevated platform in the classroom, he closed his eyes and patiently waited for Madara and Hashirama.

Moments passed and despite Shun being a patient person, the amount of time the kids were wasting was almost about to make him a little vexed.

The very next moment they both swaggered into the place like they owned it, well, Madara swaggered while Hashirama followed behind while trying to put up a strong front.

"May I know why you're only coming now?" Shun asked in Annoyance.

"Humph," Madara snorted and looked away while Hashirama was practically fidgeting. Not exactly fidgeting though, but twirling his fingers while looking at the unfamiliar environment.

"Sigh. Whatever, know that what I'm going to teach you is not something your clans can teach you. It also isn't something you can learn just by listening in alone. And finally, know that not anyone can make me teach them privately, you both are lucky you have some resemblance to my brothers from back then, if not. Humph." Shun spoke and ended with a snort of his own.

Hashirama calmed down slightly for whatever reason and now had an intense look in his eyes. Madara however retained his haughty disposition but Shun could feel his emotions change for the better.

"Seems like he doesn't want to appear weak is all." Shun mused to himself.

"Now be seated." He pointed to two chairs at the front of him. Madara and Hashirama both nodded and sat down before he continued. "Today, I'll be talking to you about chakra, tell me, what do you know of chakra?"

They both looked at Shun in confusion before looking at eachother and then shrugged. Hashirama then said. "Chakra is the energy used in ninjutsus, genjutsus and all other techniques."

"Hmm. How about you Madara?" Shun nodded and asked the other boy.

Madara threw his head back and said. "Chakra is the energy we use to perform techniques, don't tell me you don't even know that?"

Bonk!

A stick appeared out of nowhere and bonked on his head making him lower it and scream. "Ow! What was that for?"

"You're in my class little Madara, now better be respectful or the next one would be going on your bottom." Shun sternly said.

"Humph." Madara snorted again and grumbled while rubbing his head. Hashirama meanwhile was giggling at his friends misfortune.

"Now chakra. I don't know what you are taught these day but chakra is a unique energy that comes from within our bodies. Do you know that?" Shun asked.

They both shook their head as their eyes gleamed with even more confusion than before.

"Now listen and pay rapt attention, I won't repeat myself twice." Shun said and then created a projection of the internal structure of the human body. He made it less descriptive and only highlighted the energy lines.

Pointing at the brain, Shun began. "The chakra is made up of the spiritual and physical energy. The spiritual energy comes from the mind while the physical energy comes from the body. This may be a little confusing to you but with time, everything will be made clear."

"The mind is a wondrous thing you see. It is the Nexus point of our existence. This is where the saying mind over matter almost always come into play. The mind, with the right direction and knowledge can achieve whatever you want it to achieve. The body however, is nothing but a container. The stronger the container the more energy is being drawn and given to it.

"Every day of your live, you both wake up, eat, run around, play, train, do whatever it is you do and in the end, you go back home exhausted. Why do you think that is? Why do you think your mind shuts down when your body feels weak? Why do you think you mind is affected when your body experience a foreign stimulus, and finally, why do you think, that most at time, when you think about your loved ones, it affects not you mind, not your body, but your heart, which in turns makes your mind react in ways sometimes unfamiliar to it?"

"All this is what we'll be looking into today and after that, you both will give me a presentation tomorrow on what I said today, if I'm satisfied, we'll move into your proper warrior training, if I'm not, we'd go old school and train up your chakra the way we did it years ago. No. Matter. What." Shun paused and then his stern face turned into a smile and he asked. "Am I understood?"

The two boys literally had question mark floating around their heads and as Shun had expected, Madara was the first to react.

Bam!..

He smacked the table in front of him. "What the hell is this? I thought you said you'd teach us to be strong enough to protect our brothers and then achieve our dream. What's with all this stuff?"

Shun sipped a tea from a cup that appeared out of nowhere and then said. "Seems like you want a little punishment, huh, brat?"

Shun asked with one eye glaring at the little Uchiha. Feeling the flare from the old man in front of him, Madara claimed down immediately despite not knowing why, something inside him just told him not to anger the person in front of him too much as nothing would be able to save him.

Thinking this, he sat down quietly and folded his hands under Hashirama worried gaze.

"I'll let this one slide as it's probably not going to happen again, right?" Shun asked as his smile came back.

"Hn." The Uchiha nodded. 'Ah, how I've missed that sound.' Shun thought it himself. Although almost all Uchihas now used this signature language in most time, only Indra had a uniqueness to it.

"Good, now onto our first order of business, sources of chakra and what gives rise to chakra." Shun said and dispersed the projection and formed another.

"As I've said earlier, the spiritual and physical energy are what gives rise to chakra, but is that really what happens?" Shun asked and then zoomed in on the body and continued. "Chakra in essence is our lifeforce. The moment it is taken from us, we die. Similarly, if anyone is dying and you decide to sacrifice your chakra to save them, they'll love and you'll die."

"Despite this being our lifeforce, whenever we expend it, it comes back after some rest, why is that?" Shun asked again and answered himself. "That's because of the energy in the world. Natural Energy. In one way or form, we're connected to the world in a way we do not know and can never find out except you reach a certain height in terms of power but that isn't what I'm trying to say."

"What I'm trying to say is that, chakra is simply emotions. Yes, emotions. This may be different for others but in this planet we live in, chakra is simply emotions, and where does this come from?" Shun asked, this time looking at the kids.

"Heart?"

"Brain."

Hashirama asked while Madara stated with certainty.

"Hmm. Those are both correct. Emotions are something abstract, it's there but we can't see or touch it, we can only feel it, but it is there. That's where chakra comes in. Chakra makes our emotions comes to life, it enables others feel what we feel and make imagination become reality." Shun went on.

"Sigh. Unfortunately, time as made people forget what chakra truly is and all they see is jutsus for destruction." Shun shook his head in disappointment.

Madara and Hashirama didn't know what to feel at the moment. They both felt that this old geezer in front of them was right, yet their already preconceived notion on chakra made it hard for them to envision such possibilities, hence they simply kept quiet.

Shun then looked at them and continued. "Chakra is also power. Power comes in response to need and not desire. This may sound contradictory but it's essentially saying that you need to desire power for it to come to you. That is also why I decided to train you two. You both desire to protect your younger brothers hence the need for strength.

"And with those two mixed together, your imagination will only be your starting point and your limit. If one day, you decide, 'I'm strong enough,' then you really become strong enough."

"Now I think I've ranted long enough. Today, we'll be looking into an important subject, Chakra control. I don't know if any of you have noticed but after your exercise earlier today, you should have an easier time circulating your Chakra.

What you both went through is something even your father's would've given up in, if they were in your shoes. It's a good thing you both passed. Tomorrow you'd go through the same thing again till you're able to both handle the weight of your body and also maintain a subconscious control over your chakra." Shun explained.

Hashirama raised his hands to draw Shun's attention. "Yes. Hashi-chan?"

"Master, should there not be easier ways to control chakra?" He asked totally ignoring the 'Chan' suffix added to his name.

"Good question, kid. There are easier ways to control chakra but that would likely take time and I feel like I'll probably not be able to spend that much time with you two. Cough." Shun decided to use this opportunity to feign weakness.

The two boys were successfully fooled as their expression changed to pity, worry, anxious and also resolve.

"Then could you please tell us these methods, master?" Hashirama asked again.

"Why would you want to know that? The exercise today should be enough for you both." Shun asked.

Hashirama looked straight at Shun, despite Shun's eyes being close, he could still feel Shun's gaze on him. "I plan on teaching it to my little brother, this way, he'd also grow stronger."

Madara seemed to have realised the same thing and also stood up and bowed. "Please teach us master."

"Ohya, Ma-chan, is that still you right there? I thought you were too big for that?" Shun asked with a teasing tone.

Madara blushed but didn't know how to respond so he kept his head bowed.

"Haha, don't mind it, don't mind it. It's good you both can still think of your younger siblings at a time like this, that shows that you have promise." Shun said and then created another projection and explained. "Chakra control comes in different ways, one is the running up the wall like you two did yesterday. Another is walking on water, another is walking on wavy water, hot water, salty water, walking and running up a water fall."

"These are the basic methods of chakra control." Shun said as he showed the different methods on the projection.

"Are there other advanced methods?" Madara asked intrigued.

"Of course there is but I won't be able to reach that to you, also, it isn't that important to you. With me, you'd be able to surpass that level. If you insist on knowing though, when you're strong enough to know, ask about the Tengoku clan and their separate training grounds, maybe then you'd be able to help them further their chakra control abilities." Shun said and then stood up.

"Time is running out, you may both exchange your thoughts on what you learnt today, think about what chakra is, and also go home. First thing tomorrow will be your chakra control. If you're able to reach up here by tomorrow then maybe I'd be able to even tell you about the Tengoku clan." Shun said as he left the room to the kids.

This is just me dumping information on the kids and the information on chakra is also my own thought on chakra as an energy and also based on how it is treated in the Anime..

Also, sorry for the late release, I kinda had morning sickness that lasted till evening and I kinda had to force myself to write this.
