Hikaru returned from the river after setting free all the flies that he had been using for training. To be honest he could have used them to level up his Mangekyo but he didn't want to affect his eyesight so early unless it was absolutely necessary.
Although a loss of 0.001% would not be noticeable and shouldn't affect him, one of the reasons he had not tried out any abilities was Danzo, his root, and maybe Daisuke. Although they hadn't exchanged words or torn apart the facade of pleasantness, Hikaru could feel the hostility brewing in those eyes.
'He's really paranoid about his power base in the clan, isn't he? He was all welcoming n shit at the start and then he changed his tune as my growth speed exceeded his expectations.' Hikaru thought as he looked at the genin Uchiha running around gathering supplies.
One of the kids caught his eyes, Obito really was a little pitiful before Madara got his hands on him. He was just 3 years old this year and hadn't begun wearing his signature goggles so he looked just like any other Uchiha kid. With dark hair and dark eyes, it was weird to think that he could grow up into a shinobi who could fight against Minato.
'His Mangekyo was bullshit as well, I wonder what his Mangekyo would be if I change the future and save Rin by foiling Madara's plan.' Hikaru thought as he looked at Obito carrying a sealing scroll running from the clan armory to his home.
Hikaru had a special plan for Obito, he didn't want the future to change and Madara to target someone else. Though everything was uncertain, 'Who knows after my inclusion how the war will change.'
'No need to worry about things, I should pack some stuff too...'
The disadvantage of having no inventory meant that he had to seal all his items into storage scrolls. The storage scrolls in this world worked like an inferior version of inventory, you could store items in them but if you tried to store items of different types in the same scroll then there was a chance that the scroll could destabilize.
His own Fuinjutsu skill was enough for him to make these basic scrolls without any problems. He looked through his skills and pulled up the fuinjutsu section just to check before he started packing.

At first, Hikaru had been excited about learning Fuinjutsu but when he started grinding it, he realized that the amount of effort he needed to exert in order to just level up basic fuinjutsu to intermediate fuinjutsu was a bit too much, his enthusiasm somewhat died down after that.
He still made almost 10-20 seals every day and even that took almost 2-3 hours of his time.
'If it was even a little bit easier then I wouldn't mind but I need to make this same storage scroll another 88 times to level it up to level 7 and then 700 more to level this up to level 8. There was no shortcut nothin...' Hikaru thought.
The Basic Fuinjutsu skill he had was even more ridiculous to upgrade as it directly increased by a factor of 10 at every level. Hikaru was expecting that once he completely masters the basic storage scroll and basic exploding scroll his Fuinjutsu would be forcibly leveled up like it did with his chakra control.

His Exploding tag was close to leveling up to level 9, so Hiakru was expecting it to be the first one to upgrade. It wasn't that Hikaru was biased towards explosion, the reason was simply because exploding tags were a consumable item so it was used more readily and paid more.
Hikaru looked at the stack of excess exploding scrolls he had, around 500, and stored them in a separate storage seal. Now that war was on the horizon Konoha would be responsible for providing the exploding seals and kunai and shurikens at the front lines.
'It doesn't hurt to have some extra, I also need to take a stack of clothes and some basic necessities.'
Hikaru finished packing and then changed into his new outfit, unlike the clothes that Hikaru normally wears the outfit that he had selected for the war was different. It was a pure black outfit with a chainmail vest with a jacket covering everything. A black combat suit and sandals completed the outfit.
The outfit wasn't catchy but more importantly, there was no sign or flag of the Uchiha clan anywhere on it. After looking himself in the mirror one last time, Hikaru walked out of his house and flickered toward Koichi's place.
The rest of the day was spent preparing for the war as he helped out with some basic supplies and then he walked into the Uchiha Clan library. He hasn't arrived here much even though after you unlock your Sharingan you are allowed to enter and read almost all of the stuff.
He wasn't interested in the Jutsu for now but there was one section of the Library that he wanted to check out. After he gained the 3 Tomoe Sharingan and gained the ability to cast genjutsu with just his eyes he wanted to learn some basic genjutsu.
'But Daisuke kept butting heads with me so I didn't push it too much back then.'
Through the past two months he had only learned one genjutsu, it was one of the most special ones that was almost the signature genjutsu of his clan.
'The Paralysis genjutsu should still be enough, I just need a second of extra time to end the fight...'
Hikaru was initially worried about his genjutsu powress being left behind but since the Sharingan: Genjutsu was a special skill that he gained from the 3 tomoe Sharingan, it scaled up automatically as his Sharingan leveled up.

'Though, I should learn some more genjutsu just in case...'
