Explosions from time to time rang on the area that had turned into a battlefield, kumo and konoha jonin battling each other, the aftermath of every attack launched by them devastating.

Kumo chunin and Konoha genin were engaged in a fierce fight, well except for one.

"Our surprise attack seemed to have injured both the jinchuriki and grey demon, I guess this mission is in the bag"

Thought Naoki after giving all the fights happening around a thorough look, everyone was holding there own against the opponent, the mission on the verge of completion.

There biggest worry was the two tails jinchuriki and there surprise attack had successfully injured it, the movements not so organized, Torifu on his own holding against it.

Though Naoki decided not interfere with anyone's fight, it was too early for him to get involved in a fight of top shinobi, without using the power of devil fruit he'll be killed instantly.

And as for his teammates they needed to win this fight on there own, fighting chunin weaker then Blue B won't improve him much.

Deciding this Naoki focused on the unconscious Blue B again who was etched in the mountain wall, taking a step towards him ready to end his life.

"Zhuuu!!!!"

But right at this moment something that didn't cross anyone's mind occurred, from the mountain on the left something thrown right into the battlefield.

Naoki who wasn't fighting the only one to noticed it, his widened eyes looking at the numerous small bandaged bombs crashing down on the battlefield.

It was too sudden as Naoki couldn't do anything but watch with still eyes, the small bombs hitting the ground and bursting immediately.

In an instant, purple smoke spread everywhere covering everything in hundreds of meters.

"What!?"

All the fights due to the emergence of the smoke stopped immediately, confused and wary looks on the face of everyone, kumo and konoha alike.

Cough....

But everyone didn't even get a chance to assess what was happening, as Jiraiya suddenly coughed, following him kumo chunin, then sayuri, shinku, orochimaru and even the jonin.

"No, it's poisonous smoke!!!"

Yelled out Tsunade with a dreadful look, seeing everyone's sudden change easily able to guess what was happening.

Cough...no, damn it!!

Tsunade herself wasn't immune to it as well, just moments after calling out coughing as well, holding her neck going on her knees.

"Damn! Who is it!?"

Asked out Kagami with an angry face, kumo shinobi before him were done as well, clearly this was a third party!

The poisonous smoke seemed to have some chakra corroding property as well, the two tail jinchuriki which was already injured transforming back to human form, lying on the ground weakly.

On the battlefield now filled with purple smoke, those who were just engaged in a battle all lay on the ground, with faces turning pale every second.

Jiraiya, Sayuri, Orochimaru, Shinku and kumo chunin had passed out already, Tsunade still conscious due to her senju physique.

The jonin were the same as Tsunade, there trained body and sharpened will keeping them awake, trying there best.

"Again! What's with the missions I get picked for?"

Though one person in the purple smoke was doing a lot better, still standing and holding his breath, questioning inwardly with a confused look.

Still his face was slightly pale and was getting paler slowly, though way slower than others who got incapacitated suddenly.

Unlike others Naoki wasn't fully caught off guard but he still ended up inhaling some smoke which was affecting him slowly.

Swish!!

At this moment wind rustled as shadows flashed and a couple of figures landed in the purple smoke.

All of them had there face covered with a gas mask, but what took the attention of Naoki and the rest still conscious was the forehead protector they wore.

"Kiri!"

"The intelligence was leaked!"

Seeing the headband Kagami with a wry smile told the identity of the sneak attackers, Torifu also speaking his thoughts.

"Uchiha Kagami, Akimichi Torifu, Kumo Grey Demon and Two Tails Jinchuriki, this has to be the biggest harvest since the foundation of our village!"

Kiri Squad comprised of a total of six people, leading them a man with blue hair and blue eyes, though most of his face hidden under the mask.

"How...how did you knew about this?"

His words increased the anger on Torifu's face, as gritting his teeth he asked letting out his frustration.

"Would knowing that save you?"

Asked the man with blue hair in a casual tone, Torifu going silent at his words, understanding they were completely doomed now.

The poison in the smoke eventually became difficult for the jonin to handle passing out as well.

"Is this the end?"

Tsunade felt the world around her getting dark as well, with a helpless tone muttering, death had come so quickly.

"ROOM-"

Just before Tsunade passed out, a voice fell in her ears, her eyes tracing the source though only able to see a fuzzy figure, a strange energy passing through her as the world around her went black.
