1 Prologue

Tora Uchiha opened up his pale featureless eyes as he sat up, rubbing his eyes in an attempt to wipe away how heavy his eyelids felt. He gave a low yawn before glancing over at the clock on the wall, the one that currently read 8:45 AM.

Tora froze in the middle of stretching his arms, his eyes widening. Without even thinking about it, he thew his blanket aside and hopped up from his bed. "Holy stinking crap man!! I'm late as hell!! Class started 15 minutes ago, can't believe I slept in again!!"

Running to his closet, Tora began taking off his pajamas and throwing them into the corner of his room along with all his other dirty clothes. He then pulled out black shorts and a black jacket containing an uchiha symbol on one shoulder and a symbol for the Uzumaki clan on the other. It had used to be a Hyuga clan symbol, but Tora had ripped it off and had the symbol that Naruto had on his sewn on.

Tora zipped up his jacket after putting a shirt on underneath it and then pulled on his black sandals that had the whole feet covered excpet for the tips of his toes. Once he felt he was ready, Tora darted from his room and swung into the kitchen, snagging a piece for bread before heading out the door. He didn't have the chance to eat breakfast nor did he live together with anyone else who could've kicked for him, leaving him stuck with a single slice of bread.

Tora burst out the door and almost immediately skidded to a stop. He took a bite of the bread, chewed it, and swallowed it before saying anything. "What the heck are you guys doing here?" Tora asked with a bit of surprise. "Aren't you guys supposed to be at the academy? Iruka sensei is gonna be super pissed at you, especially you Naruto."

Standing next to his door were his two friends, Sasuke and Naruto. Naruto was dressed up in his usual orange jumpsuit with his normal goofy and optmistic grin, his goggles present on his forehead as they always were. Sasuke was also dressed up in his usual blue shirt and black shorts, casually leaning against the door as if he was far too cool to be there.

Naruto laughed a little. "We weren't just gonna leave you hanging like that. We always go to the academy together. Its not like its the first time youve been late." Naruto gave another grin before readjusting his goggles with one hand.

"Honestly I expected this from Naruto," Sasuke said, his eyes focused straight ahead of them rather then looking at them. "I expected this from you as well but not as much. Anyways, lets go you losers. We're late enough as it is."

"What did you just say about me Sasuke?!" Naruto exclaimed, obviously feeling a bit offended. However, Tora put a hand on Naruto's shoulder as he walked by, telling him to calm down.

"Sassssukeeee ma dude," Tora said, sliding an arm over Sasukes shoulders. "To think that you of all people would actually wait for me for this long. Normally you would up and abandon me if I was even a minute late. Its nice to see you change your tune. Thanks for waiting pal."

Sasuke nonchalantly brushed Tora's arm off of him, an indifferent expression on his face. "I only did it because as one of the top students in our class, you should be setting an example. Try not to be such a burden, you loser."

"Uh guys, shouldn't we be hurrying?" Naruto asked as he nudged between the two of them. "We are pretty late."

"Yeah we probably should so how about this?" Tora ran to the railing and leaped over it, jumping down from the second story his apartment was located at. "The last one there stays in the academy until death." With those words, Tora took off running.

Sasuke followed close behind with Naruto bringing up the rear and slowly catching up to Sasuke.

//Okay, I'm posting this to see how you guys like it. This is my usual writing style so let me know what you guys think about it.

This story is in a response to a question I once heard. "What would happen to Naruto and Sasuke if they had another friend who actually understood them?". Well this story tries to take that story path, which is the main reason why I had Tora mainly grow up alone without a mother or father so he could easily connect with Naruto. I also had him be in the Uchiha so he at least share some bond with Sasuke.

Its amazing how some people can change when you throw someone else into their chilfhood if that person can sort of understand you and share that pain with you. Sasuke still has his cool persona with him as he still hates itachi and its his goal to kill him, but he's much more easier to talk to and kinder to some degree. Naruto is still an outcast to the Hidden Leaf but he's okay with that as he has Tora and Sasuke even if Sasuke is too cool to admit it.

I knkw this isn't exaclty what they would be like but I tried my best so cut me some slack....anyways heres the prologue
