1 Childhood filled with deception

A small pouch came hurtling towards a boy with blonde hair and blue eyes he hurriedly caught it and looked up at the man who just threw it at him. 'I can't focus on any of his other features, but his brown eyes. They are looking at me with emotions I can't place. I just know I don't like it, why does everyone look at me with those eyes?' The boy questioned.

"Thank you, Sensei!" The boy said with a bright smile on his face. 'Even if he looks at me like that he's still a ninja, one of the people that I should respect the most, and he takes time off his day to bring me my allowance every month.' The boy naively thought.

[Kekeke] a cryptic voice was heard.

"Tch" The man left after that ignoring the boy's sign of gratitude but not before giving one last glance at the boy.

[Kekekeke] The voice continued to laugh.

'What do you want? Why are you always laughing?' The boy asked as he stepped back into his house if it could even be called that in its messy state.

[Im laughing at you humans, and YOUR naivete]

'…' The boy was shocked he didn't expect an answer as all this voice ever did was laugh. At one point he thought he was going crazy.

[Tell me Naruto, do you want to know the feelings that were laced behind that stare?]

'W-what were they?' Naruto asks curiously.

[KEKEKEKEKEKEKEKE] The voices laugh become louder and it reverberated throughout Naruto's mind. Naruto covered his ears trying to lessen the sound but to no avail. After a while, the voice begins to stop laughing [That man looked at you with disgust, hate, anger, and best of all fear] Naruto stood shocked as he was never introduced to such negative emotions before.

"why," Naruto whispers out loud as he looks down and drops the pouch with money in it.

[You were raised like a sheltered prince without knowing the luxury that comes with it. You couldn't name the negative emotions because they didn't want you to. They feared you, He feared you. The only person who has enough power to isolate you from others. The 3rd Hokage.]

"Why" Naruto repeats louder after being ignored looking up at the ceiling with a dejected look letting his true emotions show on his face.

[They kept you dumb and naive restricting your amount of knowledge so you don't question the orders you are given. And you allowed it to happen by ignoring your studies and acting like an idi-]

"Why!" Naruto cried out as he started to tear up.

[...] The voice stayed silent as Naruto waited for an answer. After a few minutes, it began to speak again [You already know the answer you just hope my answer is different. No, you've known the answer since long ago you just didn't want to admit it] A long period of silence passed between the two as tears streamed down Naruto's face.

Naruto fell to his knees after the period of silence [What do they see when they look at Naruto Uzumaki?] Naruto began to sob silently as whimpers could occasionally be heard. " A

M-monster" he finally answers, in between sobs, as his voice cracks. Naruto continues to sob as if a dam has been lifted. He stayed like this alone, not knowing when to stop as he had no one to stop him no one to comfort him so he cried and cried until he couldn't cry anymore.

Naruto awoke in a puddle of his tears he groaned as he got up sleeping on the floor after crying himself to sleep.

He got up and got himself cleaned up and walked out of his apartment and walked in the streets of the village completely ignoring what happened the day before, as a blissful smile appeared on his face. 'Now that I got my monthly allowance I can eat more ramen.'

[This village sure is beautiful] 'Right, right I wouldn't expect any less from the home village of the future greatest Hokage!' [Too bad that the villagers don't fit the esthetic] 'Ehh, what do you mean?' [Look at their eyes, the way they look at you like you are a monster not realizing that they are the ones who look like the real monsters kekekeke]

Naruto snapped out of his daydreaming finally looking up at his surroundings and he sees... eyes... eyes everywhere staring at him with the same look as all the other adults do. Naruto's breath quickens as he listens to the whispering of the villagers around him.

"Demon child,"

"Why is it still alive?"

"Someone should kill it already,"

"It's disgusting,"

"Look at its face it looks more appalling the older it gets."

Naruto begins to gasp for air as if he's suffocating feeling chills all over his arms and legs as a feeling of danger spreads through his senses. His eyes dart around trying to pinpoint where this sense of foreboding is coming from but he is only met with more stares and whispers laced with poison. Naruto stumbles as he begins to feel lightheaded and dizzy. 'whywhywhywhywhywhywhtwhywhywh ywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhy-'

"Naruto?, " A familiar voice inquires.

Naruto looks up snapping out of his stupor, "Iruka sensei?"

"Where are you going now," Iruka asks his most troublesome student.

"I was just about to grab a bowl of ramen, ya know?" Naruto responds as he beams at his teacher.

"I was just about to head there I'll come with, " Iruka says. "Okay, " Naruto agrees easily. "But this time I'm not paying, " Iruka declares. "Alright, " Naruto agreed as he began to run to Ichiraku not being able to contain his excitement. "I mean it Naruto!" Iruka said as he began to chase after him.

"Argghhh" Iruka groans as he ended up paying for both their meals as Naruto forgot his money at home. The worst part was that naruto ate 10 bowls.

"Ahhh that was delicious, " Naruto says as he pats his bloated stomach with a blissful smile on his face.

"Naruto, " Iruka starts in a serious tone as he stares at Naruto "About the graduation exams tomorrow you don't have to worry about it if you fail"

"Don't worry about it sensei I'll pass this small little test and become Hokage, " Naruto says as he raises his hand at Iruka giving him a thumbs-up "Believe it!" Iruka just smiles at Naruto having a hard time 'believing it' as Naruto failed more than 3 times already and the written portion of the test won't be doing him any favors.

[What an incompetent teacher]

'Why are you saying a bunch of weird stuff?'
