Chapter 27: Working behind the scene

From the darkness of the forest,a silhouette of a man emerged from the shade created by the trees.

The man had stringlike eyes, wearing an overly regal robe with hair tied in neatly manner. His hands were clasped together creating a beat that made Cheon Yeowun's heart beat faster.

"You really are ruthless." The man said with a sly smile.

"C-Cheon Mujin?" The man, revealed to be as Cheon Mujin approached Cheon Yeowun with an aloof manner and continued on.

"I really like your work but I'm afraid you are too stupid." He said. The latter can't deny his words since he knew what he did was really stupid. He let his emotion run through his fist thus resulting in this horrendous situation.

"You didn't think of the aftermath. You just went in without precaution." Cheon Mujin intoned.

"As grace from your brother let me tell you what will happen. You will be called in by the Director and your yellow tag will be confiscated then you will be given a five days suspension inside the Prison Cave meaning you won't be left to have even a single day to get another yellow tag." Cheon Mujin said to Cheon Yeowun.

Having a yellow tag is immensely important for him since as a leader that will be his symbol. Many cadets have already pledged their allegiance to him so he doesn't want to let them down. And besides that he is sure that no one would bring him into their folds since technically he is an enemy of the Six Clan, so if he failed to get a yellow tag before the seven days period then he will fail the test.

"I have already told you what will happen, how you will proceed will depend on you." After that Cheon Mujin turned his head back.

"The Patriarch of the Poison Clan will probably come to kill you but no worries I'll handle him."

"Why? Why are you doing this to me?" Cheon Yeowun asked, baffled , to which Cheon Mujin answered vaguely.

"You will find out in the future." Cheon Mujin said as he disappeared into the fog of the forest.

You must be wondering why Cheon Mujin is doing all these bothersome things. He could've just kept to himself and proceeded with the third test with ease but here is the question. Why? Why should he let go of an opportunity to entertain himself when it landed right into his lap.

He promised to make this show as entertaining as possible to God, so he is adhering to that.

The more Cheon Yeowun gets kindness the more it will hurt when the time comes. It's like when the one who gave you kindness will eventually stab you, it's very painful. Cheon Mujin is letting Cheon Yeowun foster as much as possible good relationships with anyone so that Cheon Mujin will have a lot more targets to hit his weak point.

A day later, just like what Cheon Mujin said, Cheon Yeowun did get suspended into the Prison Cave.

5 Days Later.

And so before the final day Cheon Yeowun made a comeback where he defeated one of the remaining instructors. Usually that instructor should've been defeated by other cadets and taken his yellow tag but there was a reason why he didn't get defeated. He got some help from a mysterious sponsor.

This was before Cheon Yeowun would get suspended.

It was deep at night, the instructor who hadn't been defeated was Ja So-hee. He just finished his daily report to the senior instructor and was about to go back to his residence when suddenly he was stopped by a familiar figure.

Having long kept hair tied in beatly manner, wearing a regal silky robes that doesn't fit in with the atmosphere of the academy, stringlike eyes that pierces through everything and a cunning smile that can take down kingdoms. Cheon Mujin.

"Instructor Ja So-hee," Called out Cheon Mujin.

Ja So-hee was alerted, even though the cadet in front of him is just at the second lowest rank at the cult as he just passed the second test, this cadet is probably the most powerful individual right now at the entire academy. Even more powerful than the academy director Left Guardian Lee Hameng.

"What is it, cadet 9?" Asked Ja So-hee with a bit of nervousness.

"I'm sure tomorrow or the day after you will receive some challenges for the yellow name tag. I'm here to ensure that you don't get defeated." Cheon Mujin then pulled out a book and two boxes from his sleeves and handed it over to him.

"Don't ask me how but that book contains an art that temporarily strengthens one martial art, the other box contains two draconic pills." The two pills were the rewards for passing the first and second test, but since Cheon Mujin already got so much internal energy consuming these two would just be useless so he decided to hand it over to someone who he can use.

"Practice it and consume the pill. Don't let any cadets defeat you. You are reserved to fight my brother."

After giving him such an illusive reason, Cheon Mujin suddenly disappeared.

Ja So-hee was left flabbergasted at this event. Everything just happened so fast that he kept failing to understand what's going on.

So he just sighed and did what Cheon Mujin instructed him to otherwise the latter would probably kill him. He could feel it, Cheon Mujin was commanding him and threatening him at the same time.

'Fuck. Why does my life keep getting more complicated?'

And so he did as he was instructed, he practiced the strange martial arts and consumed the two draconic pills making his martial realm advance to another level. Due to this he was undefeated, no cadets managed to defeat him but before the last day Cheon Yeowun who got out of the prison cave fought him.

Cheon Yeowun was strangely more powerful than he was five days before. He used a very powerful sword technique that Lee Hameng recognized. The Sword Force of the Sky Demon.

It was a tough fight but he was eventually defeated. And with that Ja So-hee gave away his yellow tag as Cheon Mujin instructed him to.

Another behind the scene incident.

Just after Cheon Yeowun was imprisoned, Baek Oh, the poison man or the uncanny poison staff of the Poison Clan visited Cheon Yeowun's imprisonment cave to poison him for destroying his grandson's energy core.

But before he could even make a move against Cheon Yeowun he was stopped by a young man. A young man with stringlike eyes and unusually long hair. Cheon Mujin.

"Oh my? If it isn't the famous Poison Man! It's an honor to meet you, I'm Cheon Mujin of the Emerald Serpent Clan." Introduced Cheon Mujin.

Baek Oh sweated, he didn't notice any presence at all. He didn't know that there was someone in front of him until the latter introduced himself. That's when he figured out that the man in front of him is more powerful than him.

But his pride won't let him admit it. He was the Uncanny Demonic Poison Staff! The Clan Leader of the Poison Clan! He won't let a mere brat who just got out of her mother's womb to trample on his pride.

"What are you doing here, heir of the Emerald Serpent?" Asked Baek Oh while releasing his purple poisonous aura.

"Keke!" Chuckled the latter in ridicule, then Cheon Mujin pulled out a wavy sword.

When Baek Oh saw Cheon Mujin unsheath his unusual sword, his entire body screamed at him, warning him of the impending danger that's about to come. This was the same feeling when he faces the Lord every time.

'A supreme master!? That's impossible! That means he's at the level of the Five Strongest!!"

Cheon Mujin swung his sword lightly. Baek Oh saw the trajectory of the sword but strangely his body failed to dodge it. It feels like it was slow but in truth what he is seeing is nothing but an illusion of a sword 10 seconds before it was truly swung.

Meaning what he is looking at right now is just an image of the past, ten seconds in the past to be exact.

Blood gushed out from his side, as his old body fell to the ground helpless.

"Keep away from my brother Baek Oh. That's my warning otherwise I'll destroy the entire poison clan." Cheon Mujin said then he turned his head behind where a figure of a young man, Cheon Yeowun to be exact, saw the entire exchange.

Cheon Mujin smiled warmly at him before disappearing.
