1 PROLOGUE

My heart is beating so fast as Vince held my hand. I looked at him then he gave me a reassuring smile. My heart continued beating like it wants to jump out of my chest.

"There, let's hide under that table," he whispered to me.

He pulled me towards the table. Carefully we squeezed ourselves under the table and cover ourselves with the table-cloth. It's pretty tight inside and our bodies are almost touching each other. I feel suffocated.

Suddenly I felt the hands of Vince caressing my face. I was too absorbed with my thoughts that I did not realize that I was already crying. He looked at me straight in the eye and he said, "Don't worry, everything will be fine."

I tried calming myself but to no afford. When I looked at Vince, he was sweating and his face--- anxious and nervous. He was just trying to comfort me. But we both know that nothing of what's happening is alright and things are far from turning fine.

We heard a creaking sound. It was the door opening. My heart started to beat so fast again that it made me worry if it could be heard by the person who has chased after us.

"What should we do?" I nervously asked Vince.

"Stay quiet," he said.

From the small opening in the table cloth, we were able to peep and see what was the person who's after us doing. That person was roaming gently around the room while carrying an axe. You can see the thirst for blood in that person's eyes.

"I know you're just here. Don't be shy and just come out... I want to play with the both of you," the person said in an eerie voice.

I froze when that person started walking towards where we're hiding. My hands started sweating.

"What should we do?" I asked Vince as tears started to flow once again from my eyes. He did not respond.

Then we heard a scream. It's a girl and the scream may have come from the room next to ours.

Suddenly we heard footsteps going to the room's door. The person who's after us changes direction. That person is now after the girl who screamed!

"This will be our chance to escape! Let's go," Vince said as he grabbed my hand.

Swiftly we move forward towards the door. 

The our hearts dropped. Standing in the doorway is that person looking straight at us with a wide smile.

"Caught you," that person said.
