7 Time to Esnare Eros

Namara went downstairs with her head bowed. She could feel several pairs of eyes silently observing her. However, she would not care about them.

After arriving next to Ananme, Namara was finally able to see the woman's condition properly.

Ananme's eyes were blank. The black circles in her eyes could be seen clearly. There were many red bruises on Ananme's neck and arms, which Namara believed was the mark of a beating or lashing.

Ananme's lips looked dry and cracked. She was supposed to be a beautiful woman, but Ananme was reduced to being so pathetic like that.

Namara's heart trembled a little. Is it all Eros doing? How could that man be so cruel?

Namara held Ananme's hand gently. Then she took her away from there slowly. Honestly, she was sad to see the condition of that woman. They are both women. And Namara couldn't feel okay after seeing her.

Now she is questioning her own decision. Was the path she took the right one?

Namara led Ananme up the stairs. The woman was just silent still with a blank gaze. Namara's feelings became even worse.

Meanwhile, Eros has been watching Namara since earlier. He still remembered that woman. The woman who made him angry a few days ago.

The corners of his lips suddenly lifted. Then he gestured at Verna which immediately took the woman by surprise.

"Sir, but…."

"No words but. I will wait for her now," said Eros who then stood up leaving the oversized chair. His figure darted into a room. It was the same room he had last visited.

Meanwhile, Namara had brought Ananme to the room. She sat the woman. With doubt, she called out, "Ananme?"

There was no response from the woman. Namara became a little restless. She touched Ananme's back and rubbed her, but suddenly Ananme dodged her and brushed her hand away roughly.

"Don't touch me!" shouted Ananme which made Namara surprised.

"Are you afraid? I will not hurt you, Ananme," said Namara, she tried to convince her.

Ananme embraced her own body without daring to raise her head. There was a lot of fear in her eyes. Actually, what happened to Ananme?

Namara sighed with concern. "I'm Namara. I'm just like you. I'm not an ally of Eros," she whispered.

Finally, Ananme wanted to look at Namara. "You are the same as me? Are you also hurt by him?"

Being asked like that made Namara speechless. She didn't know what to answer.

"You're lying? Why are you just silent?! Do you want to torture me too?!" shouted Ananme who became hysterical. She pushed Namara hard and started crying loudly.

"Anyone please kill me now! I don't want to live anymore!" screamed Ananme, grabbing her hair. Her tears fell more and more.

"No, Ananme. Trust me, I won't hurt you…." Namara held Ananme's hand and held it warmly.

"You have to live, you know?"

Ananme sniffled. "I should never have come here. I should have ...."

Namara immediately pulled Ananme into a hug. She patted the woman's back gently. "It's okay. Now it's all over. You've gotten away from that man," whispered Namara.

Suddenly Ananme looked at Namara and broke free from her embrace. Her hand gripped Namara's shoulder tightly.

"You have to get away from this place. Don't ever meet Eros, never get his attention." Ananme shook her head several times while looking at Namara seriously.

"Why?" Namara asked.

"Don't ... Never! He is a crazy man! He can torture and kill you!"

"Sorry, Ananme. I can't—" Namara's words stopped when suddenly she saw Ananme's change. Her eyes widened in disbelief.

"You…."

Namara saw Ananme's two irises that had turned from black to gold. Her hair also turned red, just like Namara.

"You are from the Sun clan?" asked Namara who could hardly believe it. Is Ananme in disguise?

Ananme nodded and looked at Namara sadly. Her tears returned and she sobbed again. Her feelings were completely crushed to the point that it was hard to explain.

"We are from the same clan. Don't be afraid. I won't hurt you," said Namara. She still doesn't think that she can meet another woman from the Sun clan.

"I'm too stupid. I'm really stupid!"

"Calm down. You can tell me if you want."

Ananme didn't reply. She was just crying and crying until suddenly someone knocked on the door from outside.

"Namara, go clean yourself and change your clothes now! After that go downstairs!" It was none other than Ilene's voice.

Namara bit her lip doubtfully. What else will Verna do to her? Was she going to start with the orders today to serve the scoundrels?

Ananme gripped Namara's hand tightly. "Don't…. It must be Eros. Don't go. Don't go there." She shook her head vigorously.

"If it's him ... I just have to meet him."

Ananme shook her head. Her grip was getting stronger hold Namara. "He will torture you, he will crush every bone in your body. You ... will go to hell Kingglen," whispered Ananme with lost eyes.

Namara swallowed her saliva. The more she heard Ananme's words, the more nervous she felt. Is that place that scary?

However, seeing how Ananme's mental condition made Namara even more convinced by one thing. Eros is indeed a cruel man.

Namara tried to strengthen her heart. After all, she had to go to the Black Wings clan anyway. She already had no choice of returning. There was no chance to turn around.

"Ananme, stay here. I'll just be away for a moment. Rest and calm yourself."

Ananme is crying again. Her mental state is unstable. That woman had gone mad in the palace of the Black Wings clan.

Namara could only take a deep breath. She laid Ananme on the bed until the woman curled up against her. The sound of her sobbing was still faint.

After that Namara immediately went to clean herself and changed her clothes to new ones. The feeling was a little uneasy.

Namara braided part of her hair in front of an old, rotten mirror. She turned to see Ananme. The woman's hair had turned back to black.

If she could learn a spell that could change appearance in just a few seconds she would be able to disguise herself easily, like Ananme.

Namara is finished. She found Ananme who had fallen asleep. It made her feel even more relieved. They both came from the Sun clan. And that makes Namara even more unwilling to ignore her.

With a pounding heart, Namara stepped out of the room. She descended the stairs and was immediately greeted by Verna. The woman took her hand and then pulled it to a quiet hidden place.

"Verna, what the—"

"Shut up. I want to have some serious talk with you!" snapped Verna. Finally, Namara was silent.

"This time you can't make a mistake. You remember your punishment, right? If you make another mistake I will give you a punishment much harsher than this!" Verna said threats with great emphasis.

"Does that mean I'll see Eros again?" Namara asked doubtfully.

"Yes! He must still hold a grudge against you. Just be careful of yourself. Go quickly! Don't let him wait long!" Verna commands while pushing Namara. It seemed she didn't care about other people's feelings at all.

Namara took a deep breath. Good. Namara, it is your time to ensnare Eros.
