1 First Encounter With A Mythical Beast

"My name is Mamoru Endo and I am a sixteen year old who has taken it upon himself to tame the mythical beasts that have started awakening in the recent weeks and I have heard that there was an incident regarding a mythical beast in this village could you please tell me all that you know concerning this incident ? " I said to the elder of Tsurui village

"It would be my pleasure to help you capture that beast, I'll tell you everything that I know about the incident, three days ago while one of out villagers was walking in the mountain he encountered it, he told us that the monster was about 5 ft tall and that he had a huge head with human like facial characteristics and that he had grey skin"

"So did it do anything bad to the villager"

"No, He ran as soon as he saw it"

"From what you said and from my knowledge in mythical beasts it seems that were dealing with Abura-sumashi a spirit that lives in mountains

"Incredible you figured what it was from that vague explanation I gave truly remarkable"

"I must thank you for this valuable information it will prove really helpful when I am trying to capture it"

"There's no need to thank me, but I must ask how are you going to capture that thing"

"I am capable of capturing and taming mythical beasts with a device that I have invented" I then take it out of my bag and show it to the elder and all of the people who were in the room and then I start explaining "I call this cube like device the Mythical Beast Control tool or the M.B.C.T for short it is a device that I invented that is capable of capturing mythical beasts it uses a unique crystal that I have discovered that suppresses the ability of mythical beasts it's only drawback is that I must weaken the mythical beast before capturing it and that's why I have targeted a small and weak mythical beast to be my first encounter so that I could tame it and use it's powers"

"Does that mean that you never actually used it on a mythical beast before ?"

"Well yes"

"Then how are you so sure that this will work"

"I am not but there's nothing else to do if I don't try using it I'll never know if it works"

"Please be careful out there"

"I will you don't have to worry, I'll be going now wish me good luck"

I am now heading to the mountain where the villagers had their last encounter with Abura-sumashi. I am determined to capture it no matter what I have trained both my body and mind for this very moment.

I have been walking for one hour and I am yet to see anything I haven't found a single clue to where this spirit might be and as cliche as it sounds the moment I say that it appears before me I can clearly see that this is Abura-sumashi I quickly plunge forward and try hitting it with the baseball bat that I was holding but it dodges it then grabbed it's staff and we began fighting blow after blow I wasn't able to get any good hits on it but neither was it capable of hitting me but after about ten minutes of fighting it talked while standing still.

"Hey why are you attacking me ?" It said

"Wait, are you capable of talking ?"

"I obviously am you moron, now tell me why did you suddenly try attacking me ?" Abura-sumashi seemed very angry

"Well about that I could explain"

"Please do"

"I am here to capture you and tame you"

"Why ?"

"Because your terrifying the villagers of the nearby village"

"Really?! Do I really seem that terrifying to you ?"

"No, no really your unexpectedly nice to be honest"

"So do you still have a reason to capture me ?"

"Yes"

"What is it ?"

"Well I actually need your help, in the last couple of weeks a lot of mythical beasts have awaken and most of them aren't like you they're hostile and are rampaging in multiple parts of the world, so I invented a tool that's capable of capturing and taming them instead of killing them but to do so I need to weaken them so I needed a to start of by taming a weak mythical beast so that he could help me capture stronger mythical beasts"

"I understand you could of said that before attacking me I am willing to help you on your quest"

"Really?"

"Yes, believe it or not I actually like humans and if there's anything that I could do to help them I'll do it"

This mythical beast is more civilised than most humans. I am amazed.

"Well that's great"

"And if your willing to learn I can teach you how to harness the power of the spirits to defeat these mythical beasts"

"It would be my honor for me to be taught by a spirit such as yourself please do make me your pupil"

"Very well from this day onward I'll accompany you in your quest of capturing all of the mythical beasts and I'll also teach you how to use the power of the spirits"

"So what's your name kid"

"Oh sorry, I forgot to introduce myself my name is Mamoru Endo, so what's your name"

"Spirits don't have names"

"Well you'll be accompanying me for quite some time. Having a name will be really useful. How about I give you a name ?"

"So first I need to ask if you are a female or a male ?"

"Spirits don't have genders"

"Well then your really wise so I will call you Chie which means wisdom"

"It seems that your very observant kid"

"I sure am, now then Chie let's be on our way"

Today I learned a really important lesson, it's that mythical beasts can be reasoned with.
