3 I'm Mai, now go ahead and die

Mai looked down the hole waiting for an answer. It took a while for Mai to realize that Alexander and Elanor was unconscious. "These mages are an annoyance."

With a thought, Mai lifted both mages at once and placed them on top besides the hole trap. "They shouldn't be trouble for us." Mai was going to go wake them up but she stopped in her tracks.

Rustling was heard from where Alexander and Elanor ran away from.

"They're just up ahead, they've collapsed, their mana signatures are low and still."

"Perfect, We can get this over with."

"Finally."

Voices could be heard coming from that direction.

"Now these people are a problem." Mai gave a sigh as she looked in the direction of the voices.

"Just up ahead."

Mai moved Alexander and Elanor into some bushes nearby, as she prepared to face the coming people.

"How does Agni act with strangers again? Innocent right." Mai was thinking of imitating Agni.

Just then 3 people ran out into view, Mai saw them and acted scared.

"Kid where are they?" One of the guys asked.

"Sirs I don't know what you're talking about, I heard something fall into my trap so I came to see if I would have food for tonight or not." Mai said innocently and a bit scared.

One of the three spoke, "They must be in the hole? I can sense that their mana stopped here and are still around this area."

The other two nodded and moved towards the hole. "Does that kid have and mana?" One of them ask as he stopped moving.

"Yes but it's only a little bit." The man spoke.

With an evil grin the other man replied, "Perfect."

One went to check the hole while the other two went towards Mai. "Hey kid, you've seen and heard too much, I'm afraid we have to kill you."

Mai could sense their intent already and was prepared.

As the man finished talking both of them dashed towards Mai.

"I knew it, you idiots would go for me." Mai spoke confidently this time.

The two knew something was wrong but it was a bit too late to pull back, so they put their all into it.

-Wind, Slash-

-Water, Bind-

"Stupid Mages." Mai said as she waved her hands. The magic then hit an invisible wall.

The two didn't stop and both went right and left and aimed for Mai's sides.

Mai simply performed some footwork and dodged causing the two to almost hit each other.

Having to cancel their attacks to avoid hitting each other messed up their flows. The two retreated a distance away.

"I thought you said he didn't have a lot of mana?" shouted one in frustration at the guy who went to check the hole.

"He clearly doesn't. Even now she doesn't even have enough to cast basic spells." The guy said irritated.

"shut up and come" Mai said emotionally.

"They aren't in here!" The guy who went to check the hole found it empty.

"Kid where are they?" The quiet one asked Mai.

"Come find out." Mai said as she once again waved her hand, this time a bright golden light emerged and transformed into a small sword.

"Light emergence???? I thought you said he couldn't use magic." the loud mouth shouted.

The mana sense guy was getting annoyed. "he can't like I said. The only way he could use Light Emergence would be if he was concealing his Mana, which only Sages and above could do, or he isn't using mana."

The quiet guy spoke. "He can't be a Sage, he's too young from the looks of it, then that means..."

The other two whispered, "he's a cultivator!!"

"Exactly." Mai chimed in, "Now are you going to come to me or do I have to come to you."

"What're you doing here? Cultivators aren't able to come to here? What about the peace truce? I can report this to the king and have you killed you know?" The loud mouth spoke furiously.

A sword beam shot out from Mai's sword. "shut up you are too loud." The sword light just missed as the loud mouth dodged.

"Hah is that all?"

"Watch out!!" The mana sense guy yelled, but it was too late. The sword beam turned around and went through the loud mouths head. "DAMN IT!" the quiet guy shouted.

"Finally some peace and quiet." Mai lazily said. "Now are you going to come or not?"

"W13, go back and tell boss this info, I'll keep her busy." the quiet guy spoke to the mana sense guy.

"Right, try to stay alive." W13 or mana sense guy then ran back from where they came from.

"See now I have to catch a rat that ran thanks to you." Mai said as she pointed her sword at the man.

The quiet guy was prepared for anything, as when facing cultivators, it's a rule for mages to be prepared for everything.

"Show me your worst." The quiet guy said as he was ready to cast spells.

"Perfect." Mai smiled as she used strange footwork to close the gap.

-Water, Spout-

Water rose from the ground at high speeds in front of the guy.

A voice came from the side of the man. "Close... but not really." Mai swung her sword.

-Water, Ice Shield-

An Ice shield formed around the man, but yet it was broken by Mai's blade.

Mai stopped at that and backed up a bit feeling the body about to give up. "this beginner mage thinks fast, I think Agni's body won't be able to handle me anymore either, I should finish this quickly." she thought to herself.

The guy was surprised that the cultivator backed off, he decided to cast two spells.

-Water, Bind-

-Water, Ice shot-

Water chains rose from where the water spout happened earlier and chained Mai in Agni's body, while the ice fragments on the ground rose and shot towards Mai.

"Not enough." Mai stated as she cut the spells, and rushed in.

"Sh*t" the man felt the threat of death as he tried to run.

-Water, Waves-

Unfortunately Mai was faster and cut the man in half. The spell still casted and carried the mans body some distance before stopping.

Mai bent down and coughed out some blood. "Sh*t I still have to kill that guy, damn do I really have to use spiritual sense? Damn It." Mai focused and in her mind she was flying around. She was tracking W13 with her Spiritual sense.

She eventually spotted a person frantically running. " Found you." Mai then turned her spiritual sense into a copy of her or what she would look like and appeared in front of the man.

W13 knew he wasn't safe so he kept running frantically. When all of a sudden a woman appeared in front of him. He stumbled back scared, he knew he was going to die. "Who are you?? What are you??"

Mai looked at him dead in the eyes, "Mai, now go ahead and die." Her spiritual sense cut the link between the mans soul and his body killing the man. Mai's spiritual sense then disappeared.
