Chap 14: Finally, at Knightspire!

"How's your arm holding up it's not jostling around too much is it?" Morgan asked worried that his arm may be really bothering him "Nah it's still good the sling is helping a lot really." Caleb said to Morgan which gave her a sense of relief "Okay then if you say so." Morgan said with a smile then started running again, but everyone was ready for when she did this, so they were right behind her, leading them to Knightspire.

No Pov

The Hellhounds members kept on running to Knightspire the closer they got they saw a line of people in front of what appeared to be a gate—skidding to a stop before they got too close to the people in the line and at the gate.

Octavian's Pov

"Hey, guys I just remembered that we are wanted! So how are we going to get into this town without getting caught because as far as we know they could have wanted posters for us?" I said in fear knowing now what kind of danger we are in. I started to pace back and forth trying to come up with a plan but none of them seemed right to me because they sounded horribly planned in my mind and before I could sink into my mind further, I felt a hand on my shoulder I looked to see who it was and it was Morgan's. "Calm down, freaking out won't help us at all okay. How about this I'll shapeshift into a bird and fly over the wall and fly around in there and try to see if they have any wanted posters in there. If they don't then look for my bird self-flying around the gate area to figure out how we're getting in just in case, they are like the Dramora with the pass type thing." Morgan said explaining her plan to everyone awake. That's when it hit me Bella is still unconscious and before I could say anything Troy spoke saying "Morgan even if we can get in there Bella is still unconscious so we can't walk in with her still out. We need to wake her up that should be our first priority before doing the plan." bringing up a point about Bella being a problem. 'Well, he's not wrong it'll look really awkward to carry an unconscious person towards the gate, along with the weird looks we'll get from the people and that might or will get us sent to jail.' I thought to myself.

That's when I got an idea on how to wake Bella up quickly "Troy lay her on the ground. I may have an idea on how to wake her up." I said to Troy, who did what I asked giving me a look that screamed confusion I then turned to Jacob "Jacob since she is unconscious that means her mental walls are down so that means you can show her something to startle her awake." I said to him causing his face to change to a serious one nodding his head to me he walked to where Bella was laying down at. He then put his hand on her head and closed his eyes for better concentration and let me tell you whatever he showed Bella caused her to wake up quickly. Bella sat up quickly holding her head her face paler than it usually was with her cheeks a little bit flush not looking at anyone "What did he show you because from your face you seem embarrassed Bells?" Morgan asked in a teasing tone, probably noticing that her cheeks are looking a bit rose-red. I noticed this caused Bella to explode in embarrassment causing the rest of us to chuckle "S-shut up you brainless baboon!" Bella stuttered out causing all of us besides herself to start laughing harder. When we all finally calmed down from our laughter, I looked at Bella and quickly explained where we are, why we had to wake her and then let her stay unconscious so that she could wake up one hundred percent, and what Morgan's plan is "Damn a lot has happened since I was out and thanks for carrying me, Troy." Bella said thanking Troy "N-no problem but you really had us all worried me especially." Troy said blushing a little bit I clapped my hands together to get the attention on me before anyone had a chance to tease Troy "Okay now that I have your guy's attention Morgan go with the plan, we'll stay here instead of going in the line so we have a better chance to see where your bird self is." I said with a serious expression which everyone mirrored back at me. Morgan walked behind Troy to shapeshift so that nobody except us could see her shapeshift "Is that a falcon?" I asked everyone in confusion "Yeah that is it's a Peregrin falcon to be exact." Bella said to me causing me to look at her in confusion but then it hit me, I remembered that Morgan had talked about the Peregrin Falcon one time when we were hanging out. "Oh yeah, I remember now Morgan was talking about it. I think she said that it could fly up to 240 mph while diving." I said now recalling when I said that all our other friend's faces changed from confused to recalling what Morgan said about the animal, then before anything else could be said Morgan flew from behind Troy towards Knightspire's wall.

Morgan's Pov

'Let's pray really quickly because I would rather not have to skip Knightspire where we could learn swordplay and if we do, I would rather just get captured and brought to Dramora.' While flying past the wall into the town looking around for wanted posters and teams from Dramora, I thought I tried not to look suspicious. 'Hmm, I don't see any wanted posters and no teams from Dramora. Okay, let's go to land near the front gate so I can see if we have to have a card or pay to get in.' I thought while trying to find a perfect perch for me to land at to watch and see what is needed to get into Knightspire and then land on it but from what I've seen they don't require anything but need to know what you're there for. Deciding that I've seen enough I fly back towards my group flying behind Troy I transform back into my human form. Everyone turned around to me waiting for me to tell them what I saw "So we can go into Knightspire-" and before I could say more, they started to cheer "-calm down so as I was saying the guards at the gate only ask why or what you're there for at Knightspire and I think that's it." I said to them and before anyone could say anything else, Jacob scampered to the line of people which caused the rest of us to follow those who had just now noticed us. Ignoring the weird looks from the people Troy looks at us with a confused look on his face before saying "Guys I just realized that we don't have that much money." having a concerned tone "Shit he's right... Wait don't we still have the warthog skins from when we were basically living in the Mystic Forest." Caleb said bringing up a point. "Smart move Caleb when we get in Knightspire we need to ask someone inside Knightspire where the market is so we can hopefully sell the warthog skins." I said to them then I got an idea on how we're going to get into Knightspire "Guys we can tell the guards that we want to sell the Warthog skins that's why we're going to knightspire because the market at Mini Haven Providence was destroyed by some big warthog and some smaller ones." I said to the others who voiced out that they loved the idea. As the line got smaller and smaller, we finally reached the gate with the guards "What are you here for." one of the guards said to us. "My friends and I are here so that we can sell this-" bringing up one of the warthog skins that I brought out of the bag "-Since the market at Mini Haven Province got destroyed by some big warthog and some small ones. So, we had to go to the next town/village which is this place." I said while praying in my head that this would work "Well go on in, I hope you and your friends have a nice time here and don't cause any problems or we will be forced to kick you out and banned you from coming back." One of the Guards said gruffly eyeing us. I bowed like Sebastian does in black butler to the guards then motioned for my group to follow. The second we made it inside knightspire I turned to my friends "Okay know to find someone that knows where to find the market." I said smiling at them "Okay how about that lady there she may know where the market is." Jacob said pointing at a lady in a dress. The lady that Jacob pointed at had on a long black dress with long sleeves and long blonde hair "Yeah let's go ask her." Troy said heading towards the lady with the rest of us following quickly. "Hello, there beautiful can you kindly tell us where the market is?" Troy said flirtingly to the lady which caused Bella and me to share a look before we both slapped our faces in shame at him. "I am more into those two ladies over there than I will ever be in you males." she said giving a look of disgust at our male friends while giving Bella and me a once over causing Bella and me to look at each other in shock that someone is hitting on them. "I'm sorry ma'am but my friend and I are interested in someone already could you please tell us where the market is that would help us greatly." Bella said turning the lady down for the both of us. "Okay, then my name is Esmeralda and you just go down this way for a while, then take a right, and then you'll be at the market. And if you ever get tired of those crushes you know where to find me." Esmeralda said to us winking at me and Bella before walking away. "Well, that was something huh Bella?" I asked Bella who says "I'm in total agreement with that comment, I don't know what that was all about but let's hope that she doesn't continue with her flirting if we see her again." Bella said to me since the boys were walking ahead of us in the direction of the market that Esmerelda gave us "But, wasn't that really weird how she started to flirt with us but her emotions just weren't into it and her eyes were screaming for help." I said picking up on Esmerelda's hidden emotions that she must have been trying to hide. "Wait how can you tell that by just meeting her?" Bella asked confused about how I was able to pick that up "My senses are heightened; I can shapeshift into animals that can sense emotions and the eyes are the windows to our souls. So does that answer your question?" I shot back at Bella who gave me the wtf look. Bella looked me dead in the face saying "Morgan, I will hurt you, you tiny Cheeto of a person." while smiling at me. "Yeah, yeah whatever you say but if I really wanted to, I could change into a tall person that I've seen then I'll be the tall one and you'll be the true tiny Cheeto." I said teasing Bella who smacked me on the arm "Shut up, also the boys are walking way ahead of us let's walk a little faster so we can get to the market to sell these warthog skins then ask for a place that we all can sleep at because I still feel really drained from using up all my mana." Bella said speeding up with me picking up the speed as well so that we were walking with the boys. We finally reached the market and it was booming with people I was distracted by all the people that I didn't notice that I accidentally bump into someone "Oops sorry I didn't mean to bump into you." I said to the male now noticing that he is in knight garb with a long cape that had red on the inside of it, he has short silver hair with green eyes, was about 5 ft 9 inches tall, and had a claymore on his back.

"No problem it's mostly my fault I was caught off guard by your beauty." he said catching me off guard 'Umm sir you do know that I have injuries right or are you just blind? Also, you look like you are in your late 20's.' I thought to myself dumbfounded by the people that have flirted with me so far. "So, I'm gonna ignore what you just said to me. Can you point my friends and me in the direction that we can sell the warthog skins that we have?" I said muttering the first part to myself not willing to acknowledge what he just said to me. "Ah, yes please follow me." he said loudly catching the attention of my friends who were in awe at the number of things at the market. He then started to walk away with the rest of us walking behind him "What's your name?" Chandler asked the male that was leading us to one of the markets stands "Oh my name is Vernon Oswald I'm the commanding officer of the knights and the headmaster of Bosworth for up-and-coming knights." he said boastingly which caught the attention of all of us. 'Something seems off about what he just said.' I thought to myself looking at Bella who looked at me sharing a look of we need to talk later about this dude. "Whoa that's so cool cause my friends and I want to get into that school to learn how to use swords but we don't want to be knights though." Troy said excitedly to Vernon.

"Oh, then I can get you guys in to learn how to fight with a sword." Vernon said to us all but looking directly at me before getting distracted by the guys asking him questions. I leaned towards Bella whispering "Yep that's it I think I'm done with the male race." causing her to chuckle quietly while watching the chaos that the guys were causing while asking questions about Bosworth then we finally made it to the stand that you can sell the warthog skins at "Hello Commander Vernon what brings you here with these young people?" The old man said directing his question to Vernon "Oh I'm showing these people where to go to sell their warthog skins so that they can get money, Daniel." Vernon said answering Daniel's question. Stepping forwards "Yes we have about 12 warthog skins. Also, would you know where a doctor is around here my friend here has a dislocated shoulder and I have a deep scratch through my eyebrow that may need stitching?" I said to Daniel directing a question to him at the end. "Ah yes a few stands down to my left you'll see this tent there is a doctor called Jackson, he will help you with what you need but I'm guessing you need money first correct." He said with a knowing smile seeing me almost walk away "Yeah that would be greatly appreciated." I said scratching the back of my head embarrassed because I almost started to walk in the direction that Daniel said. I then handed him all 12 of the warthog skins he gave us the money in return I looked at Vernon saying "thanks." then my friends and I turned to leave but before we could we heard a "Wait don't leave yet you guys probably don't know where the tavern is yet so I'll go to doctor Jackson with you then walk you to the tavern." Vernon said to us "Okay you do that then." Bella said in a reluctant tone that Vernon didn't notice while she is giving me a look at the faster, we do this the faster we will be rid of him.

We all then started to walk in the direction of doctor Jackson's stand. We finally made it there "Hello doctor Jackson as you can see here my friend and I need your help with our injuries." I called out since I couldn't find him or see him. "Yes, what do you need madam?" Doctor Jackson inquired coming from where ever he can from, he had short brown hair with brown eyes, glasses on, is 5 ft 6 inches in height, and was dressed up in a doctor's outfit. Pointing my finger at Caleb I said "Caleb here has a dislocated shoulder-" I then took the makeshift bandage off my eyebrow "- and I have a deep cut across my eyebrow," finishing my sentence. "And a little bit below your eye as well madam." Doctor Jackson said which startled me a little because I didn't realize nor felt that I had a cut below my eye "Huh well that would explain why a spot on my clothes feels wet." I said just shrugging seeing it as no big deal. "Okay, you-" Doctor Jackson said pointing at Caleb "-come with me let's get that shoulder reset first then your friend here will get her split brow and under her eye cleaned and then looked at in case she needs stitches." he finished saying to us before turning around with Caleb scrambling to follow him. "Well, what do we do now?" Jacob asked us then before anyone could say anything we all heard a scream coming from where the Doctor and Caleb went, turning to Jacob I said "This is why I hate Doctors. Also, a little scared that, that didn't take that long." and right when I said that Caleb came out looking all types of messed up his shirt ruffled up and his hair as well and having an actual sling for his arm. Doctor Jackson walked out smiling behind Caleb "Yeah no fuck that." I said turning around and getting ready to run but before I could I felt a hand touch my shoulder turning my head I saw that the hand was Doctor Jackson "You're not trying to run are you and right before I check your cuts." he said with a creepy smile which sent a chill down my spine.

"N-no I'm not trying to run!" I stuttered out freaking out then but when I said that his scary smile disappeared "Good now let's go in so I can look at your injuries that's near your eye." he said while dragging me inside the tent. My eyes widened in fear I looked at Bella mouthing the words help me but she just turned away 'traitor' I thought in disbelief crossing my arms while still being dragged inside the tent. I then felt myself being placed on a med bed "So let's clean up the blood, see how bad your cut, and see if you need stitches for it." Doctor Jackson said to me with his back turned while looking for a bowl for water and a cloth to clean my cuts, and me being me I start to scoot off the bed but before I could even touch the ground I hear "Don't even think about it, I got eyes in the back of my head." from Doctor Jackson causing me to scramble back to where I was sitting. He turned around with his items walked back to me sat down on a rolley chair then proceeded to clean the cuts near my eye in silence because I was scared that if I said anything he would poke my eye. 'Wait what if I need stitches, I hate needles so badly.' I thought while feeling the color drain from my face before trying to rid myself of that thought "So from how much I've cleaned the cuts near your eye sorry to say but you're going to need stitches for the top cut and the bottom one too and don't even think about running away." Doc Jackson said, making my thought process true and before I could protest, he got up from his seat to get the items needed for stitching my wound. He comes back with a couple of items "So this is a numbing gel, then I'll clean the inside of your cuts with this sterile water which will get rid of the bad germs and the dirt inside of the cut, then I'll start stitching you up then you can go to your friends and tell Caleb that he needs to wait a couple of days and the pain will go away and that he'll need to come back here for some checkups and to see if he needs to rehabilitate that shoulder unless you pay a doctor that has a gift to heal all the damage." Doc Jackson said to me while doing what he told me at the beginning of his sentence. When he told me that it gave me the idea of asking Bella to heal Caleb when she regains all her mana "Yeah we will do that when we have the time." I said while keeping it a secret that we have a healer in our group. "Okay I'm going to give you a bottle of vaseline for your stitches and now you just have to pay me then your free to go." Doctor Jackson said to me and then told me the amount of money for Caleb and me that I have to pay, I then give him the money then I grab the vaseline before walking out of the door to my friends and Vernon Oswald. "Ah, it seems the lovely lady is done I will show you the way to the Tavern." Vernon said causing me to almost gag at that 'Dude I'm.... just not into you.' I thought to myself trying my best to not throw up at his failed flirting.

Authors Pov

It was then completely silent in the group of people the only noise was from the market and people talking about, and children running about having loads of fun. The Hellhounds members found this to be a very peaceful town almost too peaceful for some of them and the others too blind to see underneath the peacefulness. Morgan and Bella were already suspicious of Vernon and this town felt like this had to be too good to be true like there was a rot happening underneath all this peacefulness just waiting to burst out into the open to cause chaos for all that lived there and to them, it felt like Vernon Oswald was in the middle of it all. Before long they reached the tavern and someone finally broke the silence.

"This is Horse Shoe Tavern you can sleep and eat here I will send someone to pick you all up to take you to Bosworth after you all eat breakfast tomorrow." Vernon told all of the Hellhounds members who nodded in response before quickly walking into the tavern asking for some food and two rooms one for the girls and one for the boys to share. They then ate and moved into their rooms to take showers or to go to sleep. Everyone but two was asleep quietly sitting on their beds looking at each other waiting to see who would talk first.

Bella's Pov

"So leader What do you think is the best course of action here." I said to Morgan "Well the best course of action is to talk to everyone about training at night on top of that train to use the sword at Bosworth. We keep an eye out for Vernon Oswald he just seemed off to me and we need to map out the school and find out where his office is then we'll sneak out at night to Bosworth to find out what his deal is because I have a feeling that he is lying about some things he told us." Morgan said to me "I agree about talking to the others about training at night but what about sneaking out to Bosworth they may start getting mad at us for keeping so many secrets from them, so how about this what if we have a meeting after going to Bosworth then meeting up in this room about how you and I feel about Vernon Oswald and how something feels wrong about him." I said to Morgan who nodded her head "Yeah that's a great idea and this is why I want you to be 2nd in command of this group." Morgan said to me which shocked me a little "Y-you want me to be 2nd in command of Hellhounds?" I asked pointing to me "Well duh you and I are the only level-headed ones aside from Chandler that is actually thinking about how to keep this group alive right now. I was planning to have a full discussion with all the group members about going back to Dramora after we finish up here." she said shocking me more "Wow you really are taking this leader thing very seriously ." I said shocked "Well yeah I'm going to take this seriously we have kids here to protect, each other we have to protect we could die just like that here, and nobody but us would care that one of us died or all of us died." Morgan said with a very serious expression. That's when it hit me that's why she sent the kids to Dramora not to be spies but for their own protection "So that's the real reason you sent the kids to Dramora." I said to her watching a look of shock come upon her face before disappearing "Nothing ever gets past you does it." she said with finality in her tone "Nope." I said sticking out my tongue "Like how I won't forget about you saying you like someone to Esmerelda." she said in a teasing tone causing my face to turn red "*laughing* S-sucker you fell for the flirt Savanna didn't you." Morgan said trying to catch her breath "S-shut up let's go to bed." I said turning the light off.

~Somewhere in Mystic Forest~

Author's pov

The animals that lived in the forest were all that you heard before a random noise was heard as if someone was waking up from a slumber. "Ugh, my head hurts." Yuyu said sitting up slowly holding her head than like dominos the rest started waking up "Dammit what happened." Kayda said drawing up blank on what happened to her since all she remembers is waking up with a splitting headache "Shit did I lose control of my dragon form?" she said quietly to herself. "Well I almost died because of the Vortex spell but then the girl with glasses healed me." Light said causing all of her teammates to move towards her checking her everywhere for any damages but finding none causing them all except for her to sigh in relief "She healed you then does that mean that they don't want to kill us for trying to bring them in." Mercy questioned causing Kayda to raise an eyebrow thinking "I think your correct because they could have killed us when they had knocked us out." Kayda said answering Mercy's question. "Well let's head back to Dramora because I feel like I'm going to pass out again." Yuyu said holding her head and wobbling around trying to stay on her feet, "I agree with that statement." Light said agreeing with Yuyu. They then started to lean on each other making their way to Dramora not knowing that the Senshi members were waiting anxiously for their return "What if they're too injured or worse dead." Kiera said pacing around while the others were trying to not pace around like her before they said anything to Kiera they noticed something come up on the horizon "Hey is that them right there." Miya said pointing her finger to where she saw The Nova members. "Let's go to them they look ready to collapse at any point." Willow said pointing out already moving towards The Nova members with the other Senshi members following closely behind right when they reached them they fainted but were caught right on time. All the Senshi members shared a look before moving quickly towards the school carrying them to the infirmary to be healed with the guards following closely in case they needed help carrying the Novas members.

"We'll go tell the Principal that team The Novas is back but are currently unconscious in the infirmary." Kiera said to the nurse and guards who nodded in response. The Senshi members then walk to the Principal's office to let him know what's going on with the Novas members. Kiera knocked on the door hearing someone say come in, opening the door the Senshi members walked in to stand in front of Principal Ace "So do you have knowledge on what's happening with the team Novas as of right now?" Ace questioned, "Well sir they are right now in the infirmary unconscious being checked upon by the nurse, and by what the nurse has said they will be like that till some time tomorrow." Sally said to Principal Ace who had a concerned look on his face now about the Novas members "Well you girls get some rest we'll question them tomorrow about what happened." he said to the girls showing them off to their rooms. when they got there they got ready for bed and slept.
