2 A New Morning

Tati opened the microwave and grabbed her breakfast. Today dad made pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage. Tati ate her breakfast with a cup of orange juice while watching cartoons. She decided to pull out her phone and call her dad. *ring ring* his phone went to voicemail, probably busy Tati thought aloud. Tati then cleaned her dishes and went outside for a walk. Tati was walking towards the woods near the back of her house when she heard a bang. "That's strange, no one is ever around this area" said Tati, as she headed towards the sound. As Tati got closer she felt someone watching her. She hid behind a tree scared as she heard the sound of someone stepping on dry leaves, freshly fallen from the trees above. "Surprise!" yelled Justin, Tati's best friend since Kindergarten. Justin was tall and had gained a few muscles during the summer. He still had his summer tan and his hair had grown out a little on the top but you can tell he just got a fresh tape up. He was wearing grey sweats and a black t-shirt that fit perfectly with his newfound abs and biceps. Behind his back he held balloons and his expression was complete happiness as he grinned ear to ear. "Fuck Justin, you scared me", "I know.." said Justin "but I really wanted to surprise you, happy birthday!". "You know I can't be mad at you Justin but maybe next time not in the creepy woods especially after the bang I heard" "What bang?" asked Justin, "I've been here for a few minutes but only heard you walking". "Huh. That's weird, maybe it's my imagination" said Tati.
