8 Chapter 8: Passion and Sacrifice

The group of brave soldiers begun preparing for the upcoming battle. They reinforced all the traps, binds and weapons needed for the job. After the final preparations they march towards the target area.

Geneneral Airo: Soldiers proceed to your designated area and wait for my command, also

watch out for your surroundings.

Koba: You heard the general move your asses

Kiba: Go and don't alert that monster

Soldiers: We receive and obey!

No pain no gain!

Kiba: General may I ask permission to join you in combat with that monster. I would e glad

even if I die in combat. To lay my life for the benefits of other is a great honor for an

orphan like me.

Koba: Me too general I ask permission to join you in battle. My life is given to me by you

when you save me from hunger and poverty and I would be glad to give them back to

you .

General Airo: You guys! I am glad that you were willing to risk your life unfortunately I must

decline your plea to join me in this battle. To enter that battle would mean

your death instantly and I don't want you to throw away your life so

meaningless. You can help me by reassuring that it won't have an escape

path when it chose to flee. Also I did save and help you guys rebuild your

lives but that would not mean that you owe them to me. If you really want to

pay me back, do it so by serving the kingdom honestly and faithfully. Now

go and join the others that's an order.

Kiba / Koba: Sir yes sir

After the two walk out and head to the area the general is left alone for a while with a sad a reluctant face as he murmured.

General Airo: Sorry guys but I don't want to issue an order where your very lives are at

stakes. I won't make the same mistake I did the last time and cost the life of

your brave brother's. This time I will personally act.

Heading towards the nest General Airo cleared his thought and steeled his nerve while powering up himself.

General Airo: I Airo Von Feles as a general of the kingdom of Regalia swore an oath to

honor and protect the citizens of the kingdom and terminate any possible

danger that it will face. I as a Mystic Guardian knight will rid the path of

danger and pave way for peace and prosperity.

As he begun powering up the Dragonic lion mantiore sense a warriors presence heading towards his nest. This made him alert and loudly roar that cause the birds flee from the trees as a strong force of wind blow from the surrounding area. The grounds trembles and a strong pressure pounded the large area that finally scares the wild beast and monsters nearby. This was also felt by the soldiers as they begun to shake their knees from terror.

General Airo: Dragonic lion manticore truly lives to its name as one of the super dangerous

beast. The aura alone can kill ordinary human from suffocation. I don't have a

choice but to kill it here.

Standing in front of the beast Airo stared at its colossal figures monitoring its every action, soon the beast flapped its dragonic like wings which cause the dust to rise up as it slowly move forward towards its foe. Seeing this made the soldiers along with Kiba and Koba to tense up greatly and as for their general, he begun to move as well.

General Airo: Let me do the first strike then.( Airo suddenly dashed forward and brandished

his sword forming a sword shape aura flying towards the target) . Heavenly

Sword Smite go and rid the world of evil with your strike.

As the blade of light approach the target the beast also made its move roaring towards it he blocked the sword strike with its massive claw and after that it flew upward and inhale deeply while eying its foe and release a fiery breath against it. Seeing this Airo click his tongue and evade the incoming fire which scorched the ground upon it.

General Airo: This fella. Are you sure that your not a pure dragon by breathing fire like that?.

I see one is not enough for you eh?. Try multiple at once then take this

Heavenly Sword Smite barrage.( Airo begun unleashing more sword light

strike aiming the foe which also make the beast retaliate by spewing multiple

fireballs towards Airo).

Watching the two exchange attacks simultaneously the soldiers were in awe struck by the strength of their general while the others were still worried for the latter's safety.

As for the two that fighting they successfully manage to terra form the fighting area decorated with cleave ground, rocks and trees while the other were scorched ground, clawed trees and blown rocks.

In the midst of their extreme exchange the Draginic Lion maticore Fly upward.

General Airo: Oh my god its really pissed now. I wonder what it's up to.

Above the ground the manticore was looking at the human below with extreme hatred wanting to tear him to pieces. As hatred filled the beast it begun to gather its magical energy as it focus its gaze on the target.

ROOOOOOAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Roaring once more and then the beast glared its red eyes madly and condense the magical energy by gathering it towards its mouth forming a round ball slowly growing. Seeing this alarmed the general greatly.

General Airo: Oh shit! that's a mega flare. I never thought that you could cast a spell like

that. That spell is only available for a primordial arc mage, a spell capable of

incinerating a large town. You damn suicidal monster you plan to blow this

whole area. Don't ever think that I would allow you to do that.

ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!

As the general begun his magic concentration the group of soldiers watching from the sidelines begun to panic judging by the magical energy building in front of them.

General Airo: Damn it a little bit more. I need to strike first before it finish its condensation.

This is my strongest attack, I poured all my strength in this next strike come

and take this. "RADIANT EXTERMINATION STRIKE" go annihilate.

As soon as the general unleashed his ultimate strike a giant sword of light manifest above his head which strike the Dragonic lion manticore along with his condensing magic spell. Upon hitting, the target let out a loud yell like it was suffocating along with a big bang caused by the explosion of its magic engulfing the beast with it.

Due to unleashing his best move the general is left without energy and got blown away by the strong force of explosion from the opponent's magic.
