11 Enrolled

Arial saw an old man inside the large room made of stones.

There are several tables at the side containing some bottles of an unknown liquid and one huge ball of crystal beside the old man…

There is even a shelf filled with books behind him! It doesn't feel like an exam room at all.

As for the thing used to light up the place, it wasn't electricity as expected but a light created through the use of the Mystic Arts…

Unlike the lamps used in the Tower, the ones used here had a shade of blue making the room feels quite eerie.

"Alright, the examiner will take it from here."

The assistant who brought him here left the room.

Thud!

Arial didn't even manage to say thank you as he closed the door leaving him with the old man.

"I heard you are the last enrollee for today…" The old man's voice was deep and Arial can tell that he's still filled with vigor.

He also noticed that he's probably an expert in the Mystic Arts. He's wearing a robe befitting his status like the ones in the Tower…

He can see that there are certain patterns in their robes that differentiate them from the others aside from their color… Anyway, he couldn't tell their meaning right now since he hadn't studied about this yet.

Nevertheless, this gray robe that the old man is wearing has similarities with Ruslan's companion who was throwing a hostile gaze at him.

"Yes… I think that the lady at the reception already closed the door outside…"

"Ahhh… Finally, I can rest after this… Anyway, I was told that you have the Headmaster's token… Are you his student?"

"Eh? No, Sir Examiner… He's just helping me because of my Uncle."

"I see… By the way, my name is Felix Hausner. We will begin the examination by having you survive my Aura that will dominate within this room… You can resist it through whatever means you have. You can use any items, you can use your Mystic Arts, you can even endure it with your body if you want… You just have to stay standing there for three minutes. If you fall, I'll consider it the end and stop the exam. Understand?"

"Three minutes? Alright, I'll do my best."

Arial nodded as he felt confident about this. Since the ladies who went first managed to endure the exam, he realized that he should be capable of doing this as well.

"I will give you 10 seconds to prepare…"

The old man announced as he smiled at Arial…

'Hmm?'

As soon as the latter saw the old man's evil smile, he somehow felt that this will not be easy…

'Perhaps he's planning to increase the difficulty since he learned that I'm related to the headmaster? Ugh… I hope not… I need to compare my strength to the students properly…'

"Ten seconds had passed… It's time." Felix said in a low voice.

Arial had no time to reply as he suddenly felt being suffocated… The previously blue light he's seeing within the room turned darker!

He's not drowning in water, he could still somehow breathe if he tried really hard. There was no pressure pinning him down as well. However, there is something that is trying to twist his body…

Luckily, his body has received a total of four stages of experimentation so he could endure this even without forcing his body to the limits.

"Ho~ You're not using Mana or even a Magic Item… You're really planning to endure this with your body?" The old man was amused about his tactic.

Since he was recommended by the Headmaster… He thought that he would be somewhat special but he didn't think that it would be like this. If he managed to endure this even for 30 seconds, then this guy should be attending the Knight School!

'Ugh… What's going on in my body? Is this one of those Mystic Arts?' Arial is unsure what was happening to his body but this is not something that would make him worry…

His body endured so much more!

This suffocation and pain in his body weren't even at the same level as his First Stage of Experimentation.

Arial decided not to think about the origin of the mystical power and focused on stabilizing his body.

He decided to circulate a bit of this internal energy to protect his organs… He looked at the old man in front of him and felt relieved after realizing that he didn't notice his internal energy.

Nevertheless, the old man still showed a surprised expression after he endure the mystical power for long!

"Time's up!"

As soon as he said this, the room returned to normal. The dark blue shade disappeared within the room.

"You're impressive… Not using your Mystic Arts or even any magic items. You're really suited for the Knight School… Kukuku! However, you can still benefit from learning the Art so I won't blame you for that… Very well, the first exam might be too easy for you."

Arial heard the old man but decided not to say anything. He just let him continue with the exam…

"Since your body proves to be tougher than anyone else, I don't think that we have to proceed with other tests in your endurance, just hold this crystal and let it decide your rank…"

'Rank? Is it similar to the Affinity?' Arial thought but the old man doesn't look like he wanted to explain.

That's understandable. After all, it would be quite tedious if he has to explain his exam to every person coming in.

Anyway, he may even be changing the exam depending on how they endured the first exam.

With this in mind, Arial decided to do as he was told so he can already complete his enrollment…

"Alright…" Arial said as he approached the table.

As soon as he touched the Crystal, he thought that something would happen again but this time, there was no reaction at all.

He could tell from Felix's reaction that he was also surprised…

"Ugh… So that's why the Headmaster decided to give you the token. I understand now… Anyway, this will be difficult for you but don't give up. Try to enjoy as much as you can and don't waste your youth… You can go now."

The old man said as he left the exam room using a different door.

"Huh?" Arial was confused.

After a while, he realized that the exam was finished.

He could only shrug and left the building... It seems Felix had also realized his pitiful talent.

'This academy is weirder than I thought....'
