6 Chapter 6: Danger

"HAHAHAHA! What a good coincidence!" Keon heard a voice in his mind. It was his other personality that he named Kreon.

The joy from Kreon's voice was clear for Keon to feel and the latter clenches his fist at that.

"Shut up!" Keon shouted in his mind. His trauma is already hunting him right now, he doesn't need anyone to make his blood boil.

"Let's see how you can get away with this" Kreon replied with a sneer while taunting Keon further.

More annoying words entered Keon's mind because of his other personality and he repeatedly shouted the words "Shut up!"

His fists were clenched so hard the veins were already popping on them

Fortunately, Keon is still the dominant personality and after a lot of work, he managed to prevent Kreon from messing with his thoughts again

"Calm down ... I need to calm down ... there is a soldier here with us, he is definitely much stronger than my father. Besides, I will become a powerful Mystic! I can't fear these monsters forever!" Keon reassured himself

He still has some trauma but he knows what he should do. Kreon cannot stay fearful of monsters, that would just cost him his life

"Everyone, get out of the room now! Head to the fortified shelter!" Bran shouted to all the orphans before exiting the classroom to check if there are any monsters outside

"ATTENTION HONE CITY CITIZENS! SEVERAL WEAK POINTS APPEARED IN THE BARRIER. ALARM LEVEL 3, ADVANCE GRADE IS RAISE! PLEASE EVACUATE IN THE EVACUATION CENTERS IMMEDIATELY. AS FOR THE POLICE NEAR THE WEAK PARTS OF THE BARRIER, PLEASE HELP THE CITIZENS EVACUATE!"

Alarm level 3, advance grade! The monsters this time are much stronger than the monsters that killed Keon's parents before! This means that the monsters have Cube World as large as 60-100 cubic meters while their abilities are at the advanced grade.

The level pertains to the amount of mystic energy the creature can use while the grade is all about their ability. Any of the two is bad news!

The more mystic energy a creature has, the more energy it can use to fuel its attacks which would make it stronger. The stronger their grade is, the stronger their attacks even with low amounts of mystic energy

Now that the monsters are level 3, advanced grade, the casualty would surely be huge! Civilians can be easily killed by these monsters as if they were just ants

Even Keon's father does not have the power to fight these monsters. If they are really near the orphanage, Keon needs to do everything he can to reach the shelter as fast as possible

Thinking of this, Keon immediately stood up from his seat. He needs to be at the right distance with Soldier Bran. Too close to the solder would endanger his life while too far from him would also have the same result

Keon needs to secure the right distance if he wants to survive. However, as soon as Keon exited the classroom the despair and fear he had before returned back with a stronger version of themselves

Above the orphanage, a hole in the sky can be seen and from it, hundreds of monsters entered the Hombre Realm. If they are just monsters, Keon can at least fight his trauma as he has a great desire to continue living

But ... why do they need to be wasps? Is the universe playing a cruel prank on Keon?

They look extremely similar to the wasps that Keon encountered before but their strength is superior

Keon along with the other orphans that don't have any real fighting experience shuddered. Their knees wobbled and some of them even fell down on the ground

Even Keon needs to put all his energy into standing as he does not want to ruin his reputation

Bran's face also darkened at this sight. The weak point of the barrier was directly above the orphanage and hundreds of monsters are now swarming around them! Bran can't possibly defeat all these monsters by himself

While gritting his teeth, Bran turned to look at the orphans. These orphans are barely Level 1, Basic Grade Mystics but they are all the back up that he has

"EVERYONE LISTEN TO ME! MONSTERS ARE TYPICALLY STRONGER THAN HUMANS. HOWEVER! SWARM TYPE MONSTERS LIKE THESE WASPS ARE WEAKER THAN MOST MONSTERS. HUMANS AT THE SAME LEVEL CAN DEFEAT SEVERAL SWARM TYPE MONSTERS BY THEMSELVES. IF YOU ALL DON'T WANT TO DIE HELP ME KILL THESE MONSTERS! POLICE WOULD SURELY ARRIVE SOON AND ALL WE NEED TO DO IS TO HOLD ON" Bran shouted loudly so that all the orphans will wake up from their fear

To give them some encouragement, Bran even activated his mystic form. He already has a muscular body before but now, his muscles grew to the point that his shirt bursts

Bran grew to around 2.5 meters in height with his arms as thick as a small infant. He also removed his eyepatch that revealed a completely red eyeball

If that wasn't enough, a large and heavy sword also appeared in Bran's hand. Bran is a Level 3, Advance Grade Mystic with three Mystic Forms!

His strong appearance that gave off a feeling of power gave the students some courage. They felt that as long as they are with Bran, they will survive this crisis!

The wasps start charging towards the humans with their metallic legs and the two sides clash with each other

Bran swung his heavy sword around and it killed a few wasps already. Those wasps were cut in half and their bodies fell. Blood dyed the ground and the red color of them triggered Keon's trauma again

This time, Keon can't take it anymore. His knees gave out and his buttocks heavily fell on the ground. He also saw how the other orphans were being killed easily by the wasps

Lives were harvested just like that. Earlier, Bran gave them some form of hope. But now, they saw the disparity of strength between themselves and the monsters. Even if three of them teamed up to fight a single wasp, they were still killed easily

Not to mention, the wasps greatly outnumbered them. If not for Keon securing the best distance between him and Bran, he would be one of the people that are already dead

"W-waah!!"

"N-no! D-Don't kill m-me !!"

"G-get a-away from m-me !!"

The screams of despair coming from the other orphans entered Keon's ears and he felt as if the world is falling apart. He can't do this anymore! He will die, he will definitely die if this goes on!

Suddenly, Keon's world was replaced into a space of complete darkness while a face that looks exactly like him appeared in front of him

Kreon has a triumphant smile on his face at seeing Keon's current state. The youth was so afraid that his mind is already a complete mess

The sense of despair Keon has broken him and Kreon will naturally seize this chance

"You are switching with me, right?" Kreon asked with a dark smile on his face but the terrified Keon cannot give him any answer

"Hahahaha! How weak! How fragile!" Kreon laughs loudly but this time, Keon was fully consumed by fear already. He doesn't have the ability to bother with anything and that gave Kreon the chance to take over

In reality, the terrified as a lamb Keon suddenly raises his head and the light in his eyes had a dramatic change. It turned darker than usual and a smile formed on his lips

Still, this is not the time to celebrate. Kreon immediately stood up from the ground while he looks at the swarm of wasps around

Most of the wasps are attacking Bran that already have tons of cuts in his body. Just like what Bran said, swarm-type monsters are weaker. However, there are just too many of them

Their only hope is when the police arrive to help them which shouldn't take a long time. The orphanage has one of the emergency shelters, after seeing the hole in the sky, no civilians would approach it but the shelter is still important especially since there are more than 1 weak points in the barrier that appeared

From Kreon's hand, two cards formed. With the training that this body has, both Keon and Kreon can now use two cards at the same time

Instead of throwing attacks mindlessly just like the other orphans, Kreon will only make a move when he is in danger. It didn't take a long time before that happens though as a wasp came charging at him

Kreon knew that he cannot defeat this wasp head-on and the dark smile on his face deepened. Instead of defending himself, Kreon silently moves behind one of the orphans

Just like what Kreon expected, the wasp changed its target and the poor orphan was slashed to death. For Kreon, his death wasn't a waste though

One of Kreon's cards turned gray in color and metal needles flew out of it. The wasp just finished killing one human and it didn't anticipate an attack

However, it saw before that aside from one human, the others are too weak and their attacks can barely affect it. Thus, the wasp just let the metal needles hit it

In fact, the wasp even continued in Kreon's direction and that just sped up its death. The needles only have one target and that is the wasp's eye!

The eyes of every creature are too vulnerable. Even with two ranks disparity in strength, Kreon still managed to kill the wasp with the 'noble sacrifice of one of the orphans'

The monsters have a bodily advantage against humans. However, humans have superior intellect compared to the monsters that only relied on basic instincts!

It is not like there is no way for humans to defeat monsters at or above their level. They just need to have the right ability and tactic and Kreon has it! He is more than willing to push others to death just to save himself!

However, as more of the orphans died, the more dangerous things become for Kreon. The wasps are killing the weak orphans too fast while Kreon also mercilessly makes moves that would result in the killing of more orphans.

Kreon only has a bit of time before he dies too. Fortunately, help finally arrives!

A figure came down from the skies that crushed a wasp's head with his feet. The power behind his kick was so powerful it caused the wasp's head to explode like a watermelon

He is certainly powerful but Bran and the orphans are disappointed to see that he is young and alone

"Don't worry everyone! I am Shinta and I will help you all in the name of the Hombre Family!" The helper said while a tattoo of a black skull glowed in the back of his palm

When the people around look at their helper, they saw a youth that is around the age of the orphans. However, his body was emitting power that is comparable to Bran!

"Hombre Family? Heh ... who would have thought that the family that ruled the Hombre Realm have a member that has a great sense of justice" Keon mused while he and the other orphans felt relief

The Hombre Family is too powerful! The orphans are not aware that much about the happenings in that family but this family is invincible in their eyes!

Any member of them surely packed a lot of power. They can't be judged by normal standards. Just look at that youth, he might be at the same age as these orphans but his power is already comparable to Bran!

"But what is this feeling? Why does it feel like I want something from him?" Kreon asked himself. He was not the only one that felt something like this, Keon that shut his mind from the outside world also felt it and it gave him some clarity

Whether it be Keon or Kreon, both of them felt their Cube Core throbs, particularly one of the sub-cores that is black in color

This abnormality puzzled the two of them but they don't have much time to think about it

Shinta descended down to the ground and everyone saw his shoes that have wings in them. It might be the thing that helps him fly in the air
