21 Chapter 21: Abnormal

Although Keon pulled some distance between him and Nath, his opponent is still not an easy one to defeat. Nath's speed was quite fast if he uses his light ability and if nothing goes wrong, he will definitely reach Keon after some time. If that happens, the chances of Keon being defeated would increase by a large margin

Nath definitely grew in power in the past months but Keon is also not a pushover. Understanding the fact that Nath will reach him soon, Keon jumped a bit which was seen as a bit silly in the eyes of other people

Even if Keon jumps, it's not like Nath can't do the same. Instead of putting more distance between them, this will just give Nath a chance to get close to him

However, Keon naturally has reasons for doing this. While he was still in mid-air, two cards appeared below his feet and they expanded to the size of a basketball

The cards let out strong gusts of winds again and Keon uses them to push himself far high in the air to the point that Nath cannot reach him even if the man jumps

"Eh? What are you doing?" Nath asked dumbly but Keon just smirks at him

While still in mid-air, two more cards were made by Keon and one of them glowed with a blinding light. Since Nath was completely focused on Keon, the card managed to blind him again. With Keon's intellect, he naturally has thought of a few clever ways in which he can use his cards' abilities to the maximum!

Borrowing the gravity's power, Keon's body starts falling down at a fast speed while a sharp and thick metal came out from the remaining card he had made earlier

Keon pushes his hand that has his card in front of it and placed it next to Nath's neck

However, to his shock, Nath actually move his swords instinctively and they went next to Keon's neck too

When Nath opened his eyes, he saw Keon was in front of him with a sharp metal pointing in his neck but his own sword was also around Keon's neck

In the end, the result of their battle was a draw and both of them can only smile bitterly. They want to defeat the other but it was actually a draw!

The two were so focused in their own worlds to the point that they were completely oblivious to the eyes glowing with amazement around that were watching them

With Nath's personality and Keon's socializing skills, none of the trainees showed any hostility against them even if their talent is at the top. Of course, that is only at the surface, who knows if there are actually people harboring evil intentions against them?

"Hays .... in the end, it was a draw. No worries, I will train harder and defeat you next time!" Nath said before walking to one side and started slashing his swords in one of the training dummies around

'Please don't, I want to surpass you' Keon thought in his mind before minding his own business too as he went to the side to rest first while reflecting on the fight earlier

Fortunately, their lives were still much better than normal people as there are some robots that were catering to their basic needs and one of the robots gave Keon a bottle of water. After taking the bottle, Keon immediately drowned the bottle's content in his throat

Keon spent minutes of his life analyzing the battle earlier and when he was done, he stood up to head back to the dorm. Aside from the regular exercise and occasional lessons from Misha and the others, the trainees' time was mostly free. After all, different people have different Mystic Forms. Aside from some general knowledge that mystics can gain, they are still the ones responsible for forging their own path including their fighting style

Since Keon is pretty confident that he can use his card abilities to a large extent already, he decided to spend time expanding his Cube World up to the peak of Level 2 Mystics. This wouldn't be that hard as peak Level 2 Mystics only have 55 cubic meters large Cube World and Keon is only short of two cubic meters more

After Keon finished the training period, with the money he can gain from killing monsters, he can buy himself some cultivation resources, and expanding his Cube World to 60 cubic meters required to become a Level 3 Mystic shouldn't be that hard

When Keon entered his room, there are two people inside. They are the two coldest people among the twenty trainees but they are also the strongest and most talented

Gabe and Mady were in their beds in a meditative posture completely minding their own worlds. They are so quiet that if someone drops a pin in the ground, it would create a loud sound

Keon was not complaining though. Since Nath is not here, the room would be quiet and he would be able to cultivate easily. Keon went to his own bed and cultivated

Only the three's breathing can be heard inside their room but after around ten minutes, the silence was suddenly broken by an unforeseen event

"AAHH!"

The sound of a person experiencing extreme pain entered Keon's ears and he was immediately alerted. His first thought was there might be some enemies or the government is giving them another secret test

However, the pained sound was actually coming below Keon's bed and the voice was also familiar to him

Keon used the stairs and went down from his bed only to see Gabe lying in the bed while clutching his chest

"H-hey, what's happening to you?" Keon asked in shock before he can feel something in his chest too. It wasn't painful though, it only feels like something inside his heart was throbbing

Keon wants to check it but seeing Gabe curling in the bed, it would certainly be bad if this situation persists. Keon was still not that heartless and he decided to call for help

"I will ask the camp's healer to check your condition" Keon said before using his watch to contact that old woman. But before he can even do that, he felt a trembling hand gripping his wrist

That physical contact causes the throbbing inside Keon's chest to magnify and amidst the pained expression in Gabe's face, a hint of surprise also appeared

"Why?" Keon asked. Isn't Gabe in pain? Then wouldn't it be better if he got some help?

Keon was not aware of the internal turmoil inside Gabe's mind and he was about to use his watch to call for help again but for the second time, he was stopped by Gabe

"D-don't! T-the ... pain ... w-will go a-away soon!" Gabe said through gritted teeth and Keon creases his brows. Why is this man being so stubborn? What's wrong with calling for help?

Even before Keon can ask the reason why Gabe is stopping him, he heard another suppressed sound of pain

When Keon looks at the sound's source, he saw Mady curling her body in the bed too and his shock just grew bigger

"You too?" Keon asked dumbly. Just what the hell is happening with these two and why does Keon felt something inside his chest, particularly inside his Cube World

While Keon was still looking at Mady, he didn't know that the way Gabe looks at the only woman in their room also received a dramatic change

"J-just ... d-don't call a-anyone ... please ...." Gabe muttered amidst the pain and Keon can't even believe that he actually begs

"L-listen to h-him!" Mady seconded and Keon blinks his eyes repeatedly

Abnormal .... there is definitely something abnormal with these two. If not, why would they act like this?

No matter how much Keon wants to call for help, he still can't due to the way these two are acting

The more time that pass, the more the two were thrashing around while clutching their chest. It seems like the pain was also increasing

"What the hell is wrong with your chest? If you don't want me to call for help, explain what is happening!"

Although Keon is normally not the gossipy type of person, but he can also feel something inside him after these two look as if they were having a heart attack. It made him a bit worried as his thoughts start to swirl around

The only thing that Keon thinks that is not normal inside his chest was his Cube Core. His core is different from the ones that other people have

Aside from the main golden cube core, there are four other smaller sub-cores included in his!

Could it be, the abnormal cure core of Keon has something to do with these two?

Keon wants to know the answer as anxiousness starts creeping into his heart. It also doesn't help that Keon can feel that Kreon was turning restless

Neither of the two gave Keon an answer and he doesn't know why but it gave him an abnormal amount of anger and annoyance. Keon felt like these two should just do whatever he says but they actually dared withhold information from him

A deep sense of superiority against the two seeps into Keon's bone and his face turned ashen

"Tell me what is happening!" Keon said with his voice rising and he saw Gabe's body flinching like a scared cat. Completely different from his usual self

However, it seems like Gabe was set on keeping his mouth shut and he just closes his eyes while enduring the increasing pain

The superiority that seeps into Keon's bones were angered and he clenches his fist. His rationality was being affected before he starts to remove Gabe's hands from his chest

Since the two don't want to say anything then Keon will investigate this matter on his own. Since there is something inside him that was being affected by the state of these two roommates of his, he just can't continue being ignorant about it

"B-bastard ... what are ... y-you doing ?!" Gabe shouted angrily as Keon tried to raise his shirt to look at his chest

Being called a bastard causes Keon to explode and the light in his eyes was changing rapidly

Keon doesn't know what is happening with him but there is something in his mind and chest that is affecting his mentality

"Shut up!" Keon roared and he felt like the thing inside his chest violently trembled before Gabe looked at him fearfully

Keon doesn't know what happened but Gabe didn't really say anything else after his outburst. Keon just ignored that and he successfully raised Gabe's shirt that doesn't have the ability to resist him anymore

As soon as Gabe's shirt was lifted, Keon saw a black diamond in the former's chest. However, the diamond looks as if it was locked as there are tattoo chains around it

If it was just that, Keon won't be so shocked. However, the chains were actually trembling violently as if they were going to be destroyed any moment from now

Keon's eyes trembled and he suddenly felt a huge headache after seeing that diamond. He heard Kreon's hysterical scream inside his head along with the violent fluctuations of his emotions

A deep sense of anger overcomes Keon's senses and he felt as if he wants to kill Gabe along with all the people that possess this diamond tattoo

In the end, the outbursts of tons of emotions coming from Kreon causes Keon to lose consciousness while the pain that Gabe and Mady were experiencing received another huge increase

Thus, an extremely strange scene can be seen inside this specific room. One of them completely lose his consciousness while the other two were clutching their chest while forcing themselves not to scream too loudly despite the unimaginable pain they are experiencing

No one knows that this situation will actually have a great significant effect on humanity's future fate.
