Change Of Plans

(Elektra's POV)

I'm seriously dying laughing on the inside because of what I just got Alexa into. 'You're welcome girl.' I said to myself. I walked into the kitchen and went into the fridge for a bottle of water. I grabbed the bottle, shut the refrigerator door and turned around only to find Neo standing in the doorframe of the kitchen.

"Uh hey um... can we talk?" he asks as he scratches the back of his neck. I took a deep breath and said "I don't know if I could talk to you right now." as I walked passed him. I kept walking up the stairs and into my room. As I was closing my door, Neo stopped me from closing it. "Please Elektra. Let's talk." he said. I looked at his face and can see the pain and determination in his eyes.

I looked down at the ground and sighed. I opened the door slightly wide and let him enter the room. I shut the door and turned to him. "What is it?" I asked as I sat down on my bed and placed the water bottle on the night table. He sat down next to me and I faced him.

"Okay look I'm sorry for what I said before. I promise you that I didn't mean it the way you thought. I know I was sounding like an ass, but I'm telling you that I didn't mean it. I was just tryi--". I placed my index finger on his lips to make him stop talking." I know what you meant. Alexa told me. I'm sorry I yelled at you." I said and I then removed my finger from his lips. He started to shake his head. "No No you had every right to yell at me. I was being a complete asshole to you and I really didn't mean it. I just didn't want to you see you get hurt anymore especially now that I know what happened to you." He replied.

"It's okay, but now you know I'm not the same fragile little girl that you grew up with." I said. He held my hands and replied "Yes I do know. You are more confident, bold, and strong. I shouldn't have treated you like you weren't and I'm sorry about that. I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you when you were hurting. I'm sorry that you had to suffer so much". He looked down at the ground and I released one of my hands from his and put it on his cheek.

I made him look up me and I shook my head frantically. "It's not your fault. You don't have to apologize. I'm sorry for making it feel like it's your fault but it's not. If it wasn't for all the stuff in the past, I wouldn't be the person I am today." I said and then I pulled him into a hug. He hugged me back almost instantly. When I hugged him, I heard him let out a sigh of relief. It probably felt like weights were just lifted off his shoulders.

I don't know how long we were hugging for, but once we pulled away from each other, I suddenly felt... I don't know.. uh empty. I quickly shook the thought away and I grabbed my water bottle. "Okay well I guess now that we solved that, I'm going to call everyone down at lunch time and tell them that there's a change of plans." he said. I gave him a confused look and asked "what do you mean?". He gave me an amused look and answered "Well I got to add you to the mission don't I? You are going to be coming in with me and Alexa and I'm going to have Alexa distract the Chairman and the general while we go into his office". I smiled and nodded and he smiled back.

I was taking a couple of sips of water, when he then said "Well I'm going to go". After drinking the sips of water, I put the water bottle back on the night table. I guess Neo was going to give me a kiss on the cheek like how he always he used to do, but when I turned to face him, his lips accidentally landed on mine. It was only a peck but we stayed close enough that we could feel each others breath on each other's face.

His lips actually felt nice and for some reason I wanted more. We both stared back at one another and I swallowed a lump that was in my throat. I don't know who started to move first but we moved our heads closer to one another until finally our lips touched. It was nice, soft, and gentle. The kiss lasted about fifteen seconds before we pulled away from each other.

We stared at each other with a look of shock mixed with happiness mixed with amazement. My head was going insane because of how good that kiss was. His lips tasted sweet like sugar. I actually wanted more. It looks he does too because we moved our heads closer again and just as we were about to kiss again, there was a knock on the door.

We quickly pulled away from one another and I went into panic mode. "Elektra open the door" Alexa said from the other side of the door. "Shit" I said to myself and I quickly got up from the bed. "Quick hide under the bed while I take her away from my room." I said to Neo as I was pushing him to the ground. Another knock came from the door and Alexa then said "Elektra what's taking so long?". "Coming!" I yelled and I finally was able to push Neo under the bed.

I quickly fixed myself up and I went to the door and opened it. "Hey Alexa what's up" I said slightly out of breath. "You. That's what. I'm going to kill you because of what you did between me and Aleksander." she said pointing at me. I chuckled at the realization and I walked out of the room. I took a quick glance into the room towards the bed and closed it behind me.

"I don't know what you are talking about." I said, acting so innocent. "Yes you do! He asked me out on a date because of you!" she exclaimed. I laughed a little while walking away from the room with her following behind. "Your welcome" I said softly and she started to give me an evil glare. She is way too funny. "What? You like him so why not? I did you a favor because it was obvious that you weren't going to try to pursue." I said so innocently.

After I said that, she quickly turned away and started to blush. I laughed at her and we continued to walk away from my room. I still couldn't help though but slightly smile at the thought of that kiss me and Neo shared. Wow I'm going to go insane.
