1 Breathe In. Breathe Out. And Fall.

A large man walked through the entrance of the coffee shop. He was wearing a thick, black, winter coat and blue, winter pants. His boots were so heavy they rattled the floor with every step.

"Have you seen a lady with a trench coat around?" The large man asked one of the employees of the shop. The shop was empty. Eerily deserted aside from the few employees working there and that one bystander enjoying his coffee and writing a late-night paper. It makes sense for it to be rather lonely, it being 10 P.M. and only two hours until closing.

"A lady? Trench coat and bowler hat, right? Yeah, I seen her. She's in the back of the shop, in the private area." The employee said with a somewhat curious look.

"Thanks. Er-- where's that at?" The large man asked, confused with his surroundings.

"Right. It's that double door in the back. Has a cliche sign saying 'Laugh and Live' on it." The employee replied, pointing in the direction of the doors. "Pretty strange someone with a bowler hat and trench coat to be walking around in these modern times. Isn't it a bit out of style?"

The man's eyes seemed to widen, as he stopped. His thoughts seized. He looked at the employee with concerned eyes before replying, "Have you seen her face? Have you seen what she looks like?" His voice struck the employee, giving off a very stern yet perturbed tone.

"No. I didn't. I couldn't really see her face. Or at least I don't remember what her face looked like." He thought for a moment, the man still staring with a very troubled look. "Yeah, no, actually, I don't think I've seen her face. Odd, now that I'm thinking about it."

"GODDA--" The man shouted before abruptly stopping himself and clearing his throat. "...That's... That's fine. I'll go see her myself."

The man walked into the private area of the shop. Some time passed, around 5 minutes. After those 5 minutes, the lady with the trench coat and bowler hat walked out of the private room and out the coffee shop. Some time after that, the large man walked out as well.

"Ah, so. Were you able to see her face?" The employee asked curiously.

"... No. She wasn't even there." The large man said disappointed. His head lied low while a deep, vexing frown appeared on his face.

"Sorry, man. I don't know what to say. She probably left when I wasn't looking. I could've sworn she was in there."

The man was torn. He stood there, with a look of defeat. He sighed and put his hands in his pocket, shaking his head as if saying no to something he was thinking about.

"Well... I'll be on my way. Have a nice night." The man said sincerely.

"Yeah, you too."

After another amount of short time passed, the bystander closed a laptop which he was typing his paper on. "Okay! Thanks for letting me use the wifi here, Liam. Needed to get that paper done by 12."

"Anytime!" The employee replied, "...but literally... anytime. The shop opens at 6 A.M. and the wifi stays on, regardless if it's open or closed. You can even sit outside to use it if you want to. Don't need my permission. It's public wifi. ... It's a Cafe, dude..."

"Hahaaaaaa.... R-Right... Anyway, see ya!" The bystander said while gathering his things and heading out.

"See ya, Brian."
