Maritza woke up just before dawn,she ached all over from the vigorous activity of the night before,smiling she felt the bed for her god only to feel a cold bed. Alarmed she jerked up and saw a silhouette by the window and was relieved. "Thank goodness you are still here,I thought you've left without say goodbye to me.Please come back to me its not dawn yet."she murmured and beckon on him.Rashid almost went to her but resolved that it was time to for her to come to her sense and time for them to leave. "snap out of it ,its time to go, put some clothes on quickly''his authoritative voice gave her a stop. What was happening here? Did she do anything wrong last night? Who exactly was this man?. Then her eyes wide. Could it be that she has been tricked, was this Alex plan? did she just fall into his plan blinded by her love for adventure and her curiosity?. the pain in her heart was choking she felt hot tears threatening to come out but held herself ''who are you, please tell me you are a god if not i might just die "she sounded so distressed and ashamed.Rashid fear that taking her out of here would be a big problem. If Alex and this stranger thought it would be easy to take her out of here they had another thing coming." I don't know who you are and I don't care what plan you had with my brother but I'm not taking a step out of here. If you try any funny act i would wake the entire village up moreover my sisters room is the next floor " she threatened. Alex had expected all this obstacle that was why he asked for the room on top so no matter how loud you are no body would be able to hear. He grabbed her and dragged her to the window, held onto a rope and held her strongly "if u want to fight me or resist i think its best you do it after we slid down that's if u want to be alive to fight me'' he warned. Rashid knew Alex had given order that no one should trouble him so he expected no challenge from out side so held the room that he had previously tied from the trunk of a tree to the top of the house to use as incline plane. Getting hold of the rope he held unto the struggling Maritza and jumped. Fear froze Maritza she didn't want to die just yet but she won't give up that easily so she started screaming. she heard the sound of a gong and was relieved until she heard it three more time and started crying. Three times meant peace ,she was doomed for life,Alex has succeeded in selling me out and there is nobody to help,When the got to the tree trunk Rashid dropped down and pulled her down,forcefully dragged her to a horse helped her up then climbed up too and rode away. After two hours of riding in silence Maritza started feeling uncomfortable having rode all night and again this morning,the thought made her hot and she blushed. Vowing to make the ride unpleasant she refused to talk when spoken to or even drink water and her decision was telling on her she felt so dry and needed water and rest urgently .Rashid noticed immediately and pull them to a stop. He jumped down but didn't bother to help her down, Maritza waited in vain for him to carry her down so she slid down without being careful and fell bruising her knee. Rashid was setting a camp when he had her cry of pain and rushed to her carried her up and unceremoniously dumped her on the blanket. he washed her legs and left some water,bread and cheese in front of her and left ,all these he did with his head bowed making it difficult for Maritza to see his face and that annoyed her so much."can i at least see your face, I want to know who took my maiden head yesterday is that too much to ask .God what have i done? how could i sleep with a stranger?you could be a thief or even a thug .'' she then burst into tears and cried without control. Her cry pained Rashid he wanted to comfort her but he held himself and left,showing emotions was not part of the deal. He had love once but couldn't save her he wont let that happen again prevention they say is better off. Maritza cried herself to sleep ,just before noon she woke up refreshed and determined to make his life a living hell. she didn't hear any noise apart from her breathing and she immediately ran to the horse,climbed on and rode off with all her might. The loud sound of whistling stopped the horse on its track then suddenly the horse turn back and started going back,no matter how much force she used to pull the horse it refused to bulge, it just went straight to its master and stopped." Next time you feel like running away you had better do it on foot. I won't tolerate stealing of any kind from you have i made my self clear?" Rashid warned with his back turned on her. "You asked to see my face, there is no going back to your village i have paid your bride price and i made sure it was more than what your brother can ever pay back, forget every idea of going back and think ahead '' he said and turned,she gasped when she saw his face, he had a scar that ran from his check down God knows where .But when she look at him well she discovered that aside from the scar he was a very handsome, well built man,he look like a sexy pirate, what was she even thinking she was meant to hate this man not admire him."Did you think i would refuse to marry you if you had come straight and ask for my hand in marriage? I am not that vain, I might have liked you but instead you decided to kidnap me and for that i would never forgive you,'' she said in pain."I have no time for any emotional bullshit, i paid your bride price and I've had you, you could be carrying my child as we speak so get a hold of your self and behave. You have bigger things to face when we get home '' this he said and stormed out leading his horse to the lake. Maritzas gasp hurt him, he has been laughed at,children shy away from him,people stare at him in pity but what he saw in her eyes he has never seen in anyone else. He saw pain for him not pity and that hurt him more than he could bear.

When he returned from the lake, Maritza took a bath then they continued their journey .They ride all through the night without stopping then at last the got to the sea shore and stopped. Rashid met up with his servant who has already booked a cabin for them on board and he lead them to the room. Too tired to do anything Maritza fell on the bed and dozed off.....
