New memories

Alex woke up on a hard bed and hopped off.

"Well, this is hard to get used to," he thought. He walked through the room to the door and opened it and it creaked very loudly. He went downstairs to the living room where Zaiel was sitting reading the newspaper. on the back of it showed a girl that he got a headache from looking at for some reason on the front cover sitting in some weird bubble.

"Do you know that weird thing is?" Alex asked.

"Yes, it seems like she has the same kind of ability as you but apparently the girl on the front used it to murder and burn 5 people." The Zaiel said while showing him the article.

"Wow, I never realised that anyone could be so cruel," Alex commented.

They were in a room which was quite small and all the walls were white, well they used to be because the paint was peeling off the walls and there was a calendar on the wall and a few pictures in a frame on the wall of differing landscapes and a clock was on the wall and there was a brown door.

Just then, the clock hit 8 and a cuckoo bird came flying out and started to screech. Zaiel walked up to it with a very frustrated look on his face and smashed the clock with his bare fists.

"Right, it's about time to start eh?" Zaiel said.

"Yeah, I guess so," Alex replied.

They both walked to the door and walked through and they were greeted with the sight of a counter, a till, a freezer, and a couple of tables and chairs.

He put on his apron and they started to get to work by setting the table cloths and putting the sauces and seasoning on the tables and opened the metal sheets to reveal the busy street in front of their shop.

Alex then walked up to the front door and flipped the sign to say open and customers started piling in through the small door and they all walked up to Alex who was behind the counter because Zaiel was in the back cooking the food.

He was drowning in orders because of the morning rush

"Why does this rundown place have so many customers, people can be so needy that they would go to some shoddy place like this?".

Around midday things started to calm down and he and Zaiel sat down and took a break. They had a lot of business around 2 pm but it wasn't nearly as much as the morning rush.

At 6 pm they closed shop and Alex left the building and flew to the tallest skyscraper he could find but he felt a splash of water.

He looked up to see if there were any rainclouds but there weren't any so he looked down and but he could barely see anything since he was so high up that even some buildings were insignificant..

He kept on flying and he eventually reached the top of the building and saw the girl from the front page of the newspaper. He thought he could take revenge for the 5 dead people.

She jumped off the building used her sword to douse him in water and said

"Alex.." it made Alex lose all propulsion. And he started freefalling down the building but he tried dragging but then she jumped on top of him and he started screaming out in pain and he started falling even faster and she tried cutting his head off but he started to dive and she slipped and he stretched his out his limbs to fall slower and once he was higher in the air than she was he tried kicking her but she grabbed his leg and spun around and then threw him down.

He was falling down really fast and the buildings and vehicles were gradually getting larger and larger with each second and even spreading out weren't helping him much at that point. He turned around and saw that the girl was floating in the air and he looked down and saw that he was almost on the ground.

Claire woke up on a hospital bed wearing a gown and looked around and saw that she was in a white saw that her arm was in bandages and her bandana was on the bedside along with a flower in a white vase with intricate patterns on it and saw that there were buttons on the left side of her bed and that there was an iv drip on the side of her bed.

She used the buttons to make the upper half of the bed move upwards at an angle and it almost looked like a normal chair. A nurse walked in and asked her if she was hurting anywhere, but she answered by saying that she wasn't and that she just needed a little more sleep and so the nurse walked out and slipped out of bed as silently as a mouse and grabbed her bandana tiptoed to her window and opened it and jumped out.

Connor saw the man in the doorway and used his ability to push him out and ran back through the crack. He once again fell out back into the mysterious library and walked through the aisles and looked at all the different videotapes.

They all had different names depending on what the memory was about and he sat down, thinking about what had just happened. He was pushed into the recesses of his mind and was able to relive his memories and that it was possible for the man to find him in there.

He thought that since there was nothing else to do, he began going through the memories digging through them to see if there was anything strange about them since he had never known Mei would be the traitor type and the man to be anything other than righteous and noble-hearted but his most recent memories would beg to differ.
