_Be gone

Rune

~~

Oh no, what had she done?

Never had she thought that damn greenish liquid could be lethal or harmful.

She never meant to harm anyone but now, she had caused harm and land them all in trouble.

Could there even be a cure for such?

So, there was no chameleon, to begin with. Vidal's guilt had made him assume and conclude that the past he had been waiting for to come to haunt him had finally arrived.

That is how evil works, you would consider any little occurrence as payback for what you did. That is for villains who had some bit of conscience left in them of course.

But Vidal was no villain.

Calliope dropped the phone and after announcing the bombshell to them, she clasped her hands in front of her.

" We're in trouble!" She squealed.

August had already covered his face with his palm. " We should have listened to Rune and not brought her."

Rune, who was already getting a hang of the situation knew not what to say. She was frozen to the spot.

Even when August had given her credit, she could not claim it.

Kate's sharp yells cut in all of their ears. " What are you talking about you freaks!"

Arghh- damn the girl. Her sharp mouth was what cemented all the suspicions she had of her.

So, she was just a silly teen. Who could train their daughter to be so spoilt?

There was something that didn't fit about her still. For she did not have the demeanor of a normal girl who came to be a temporary help.

She was almost behaving like the rich bratty girls.

But anyway, the girl doesn't concern about her anymore.

She was out of the picture now and she needed to go.

The problem was how to send her off without having her running her mouth spitting bad about them.

Knowing her for a while, she knew definitely, Kate wouldn't spare them one single good word.

This was a mess, a big one.

" Let's not whine. We should resolve this before Farris and the others get back" Gizem said thoughtfully.

Vidal had already stood up and away from Kate in irritation.

All of a sudden, Calliope bursts out laughing.

It was nearly a sin to laugh in this situation. What the hell was wrong with her?!

" Kate actually, I am running a vlog and I begged the others to help me prank you. Sorry if you got scared for a while there!" she spewed.

Wherever the crown of lies belonged, toss it to the originals!

August quickly clapped his hands and jumped in on the lie. " I'm sorry but we had to do this to help my sister out in her vlog thingy" he smiled sheepishly.

" Your sister?" Calliope eyed him.

To hell- those two would fight even on the brink of death.

Rune saw Gizem roll her eyes.

" I hope you were not too scared eh? You will gain so much fame after this!" Vidal also chirped in vigorously.

It seemed he was a bit calmer now that he knew his ex wasn't the one who came back for him and also that all of these weren't his fault.

One fact remained though. That someone had dug a hole in their garden and the same mud was in the next-door house. Also that someone had disguised as old Mrs. John to give them the packet of fried chicken even if they weren't poisoned.

There was a missing piece in all of this but none of those seemed to have anything to do with this girl. Rune had wondered why she found no supernatural aura around her.

Her answer was here, the girl was not a supernatural creature. Just a silly bratty human girl.

Kate was looking at the others as they kept on squeaking words to convince her that all of this was a prank.

" Burn the tapes. I can't be on a vlog" she suddenly blurted.

What?

Calliope frowned. " Why?" she asked.

" For personal security, I can't be on a vlog please delete the tapes, thank you." she stood up from the stool. " Also, your prank" she turned to August. " Thingy" she stressed. " Is not so cool!" she snapped and began to storm towards the door.

" Bye!" Calliope cheered. " You can come for the nail polishes too. I will order so many for you!"

Kate gave her no answer. It was the obvious she wasn't interested in nail polishes.

However, just as she was about to pull the door open, it busted open and Farris's shiny head became evident.

Had they been so deep in thought and engrossed with Kate that they hadn't noticed the sound of the car when Farris drove in?

The moment he set his eyes on Kate, a deep frown settled upon his face. " Go back in!" he snapped at her.

Kate, probably scared by the harsh aura which always danced around Farris and the sternness of his voice jumped back startled.

Who wouldn't be scared?

Farris was a scary man.

Luna and Amadio walked in afterward and shut the door.

" Has she come to threaten you?!" Luna's defense shot up as she shot the scared Kate a blaring gaze.

Geez! They had already convinced the girl it was all a prank. These are the old people who would ruin it!

Calliope rushed to hold Kate. " No, no, no. Kate here is a sweet girl. She is about to leave. Please go Kate" she smiled sheepishly and began to lead the girl to the door but Farris's hand stopped her.

" She does not leave this house until she gives us what we want. Can you all believe she is almost perished? She infected the fried chicken with some substance that drips out of her infected self!" His tired voice was low and rose to its highest when he said the last words.

" Now, we have to help her enemy out. We have to help her locate her cure. It's the only way to save Fender." Luna added.

Why were the others allowing them say all of that in the presence of the girl instead of stopping them?

Maybe they were all as perplexed as she was. No, none of them could be as perplexed as she was.

She was suffering from the pain of knowing she was dangerous and had unknowingly put a brother on the path of death.

" Let Kate go Farris. The sheriff called. The forensic results were out and the chicken was not the original carrier of the poison. It was some dampened toilet paper in the bin." Gizem broke the silence.

Luna, as expected was the first to react. " Oh my God, Farris did toss the chicken into the bin."

" Yes, so let the girl go" Vidal added.

Oh, his confidence has returned, hasn't it?

" Wait! Did you all think I poisoned someone?!" Kate blurted in wonder.

Calliope ran to hold her shoulders. " No dear, it's all part of the vlog thingy" she reopened the door and gently pushed the girl outside. " Now, be gone"

" Bullies!" They all heard the girl holler from outside the door. " I told you, don't put me on camera!" she added and then, they heard her receding footsteps.

" Pheew!" Calliope wiped off sweats from her forehead after successfully sending Kate away.

Now, it was just them. To discuss the problem and also the time for Rune to let out her secret.
